Golden Kamuy is a comfy masterpiece.
It´s like Dungeon Meshi, but with a slightly more psychotic Laius.

Cant wait for Hime x tomboy yuri to kick in
Bad ending, great journey
1. Kaguya wants to be confessed to
2. The New Gate

That's my top 3, although 2 and 3 are a little biased because I'm an isekai fag

There are weekly/monthly threads for specific manga, some like Kingdom/Golden Kamuy don't get constant threads on release but get a big thread every once in a while. Maybe people don't want to ruin discussion by talking about the same shit too much.
This one was fun. I like how hideous some of the extra characters are, like the women in the store or the American scientists.

Assuming you mean overall manga threads (not for specific series, the "what are you reading" kind), they were partially chased out by overzealous mods years ago (because rec threads), partially suffered from declining manga powerlevels/discussion on /a/ in general, and partially pushed out by cancerous OPTs. There was another yesterday, but it was in the dead hours and died with barely any replies.

>>157076959
It seemed like it'd be a sort of interesting series, and it kind of is, at least until after what the anime adapts.
They go see his brother, then the stitched together guy, then it turns out the wolf king was a good guy all along and it was a misunderstanding, and then they revived the dad I think but then he died again? I don't remember it's been a while since I caught up
Anyway it didn't really go anywhere and it's a pretty big put off to me that the stitched together guy is the only actual antagonist the series ever had, though I do admit that's kind of a nitpick.

>Goblin who became Demon Lord strong by ganking dying people by chance

I feel that the quality has gone down considerably, but I also feel it's improving. The Berserk anime reboot is atrocious, but I still have hope for it. They're a small studio, and they're still trying to improve. It still looks terrible, but the season two previews look better than season one at least.
As for the manga, I also feel that the art quality has turned into something that doesn't fit the manga. It's too cutesy and classic moe anime style. For instance, pic related is from the most recent update, compare it to the image I originally posted. That being said, I think it's improving as Miura is settling into his niche again, the dreamscape panels look decent.

The real reason is because none of the manga we like actually updates, no one bothers translating them and there's so many manga out there two manga fans can like hundreds of different manga and still not be reading the same thing (at least anime has seasonal package as a frame of discussion)
OPTs are the only manga threads where there is guaranteed replies
Air Gear.
best part is I can read it over and over again since the plot is so retarded I forget about it.

I remember IZ being pretty popular until the hiatus hell.
is it still going?
>>157101943
It comes back from hiatus and the relationship developed a lot. Last chapter was May this year.
>>157070296
I unironically really enjoyed Fuan no Tane, it was dumb but creepy at some points. Only real story to make me sort of creeped was the first Hallucination one. Also Prunus Girl was fantastic.

I mean, Parasyte got an adaption, and that manga was finished decades ago. Not likely, but not completely impossible.

I can't believe this actually motivated me to get off my ass and do some work outs. I'm actually waiting for the sun to come up so I can go on a walk.

After all these years it's still one of the best things i've ever read.
No one's reading Victoria 2: Army Academy the manga?

Tezuka's Buddha has always been a strong favorite of mine. The landscapes recreate India in such vivid detail and the characters are very well developed.
The strong bold panel designs give it a very austere feeling.
In classic Tezuka form, it also manages to be incredibly thought provoking while also being very approachable.
It's made me actually laugh out loud consistently
>>157105326
Here's one of the landscape shots for people who aren't familiar. The characters are often almost hidden at first because of all of the detail. You really get the feeling they're being swallowed by the vastness of their surroundings.
>>157098933
I don't know. It definitely not a hentai, it's publish in the same magazine that Kaguyabis published.
It seems like a story of a police woman who can attract animals to her. The manga hasn't been translated yet.
But she seems hella cute. Definitely my Top 5 favorite character design.

Air Gear was a wild ride. Until chapter like 100-150 even the plot was alright.
I'm still mad af best girl Simca lost tho.
My personal favourite is Ranma 1/2
Even if we confine ourselves to ongoing series there are too many for me to cut down in to a manageable list.
Here's a few I guess.
Not even all my favorites but it covers what I like.
>>157108097
They only started translating it again. I'm going to read the first few chapters as it seems interesting. Thanks!
I really love Mahoutsukai no Yome, but it's been dragging on a bit due to monthly releases and consequently forgetting what happened in the previous chapter.
There's also Love Sync Dream, which was a straight up blast to read. Sumikko no Sora-san is a great philosophy manga, albeit the pacing is a little slow. Renai Kaiden Sayoko-san is a hilarious romcom but turned a bit too serious in the end imo.
>>157110833

God, I wish someone would pick this up.
>>157115262
It was really interesting to read because it went from 0 chapters TLd to 30 in a few days but then they haven't done anything since.
i was hesitant about writing "akira" here because it's so exquisitely made and self-consciously grandiose that it actually gives me a kind of twisting feeling in my stomach when i read it and colours my perception after i'm done. it's like having to sit next to God on the bus, a bit too intense for everyday life.
but fuck it. it's akira without a doubt.
Can't think of a definite favourite, but this one's up there for sure.
>>157106492
Based man, one of the best Samurai manga.
We need more manga threads which arent OPTs
Posting one of my favourite horror manga, it's a travesty that Kazou is never discussed now in horror on 4chan, newfags and entry level fags never move beyond Ito for horror manga. While some of Ito's works are good but Kazou, Hino, Marou, Mizuki have much better body of work.
>>157105326
Tezuka has so many gems in his whole collection be it Black jack, Phoenix, MW, birdman.
My current favorite sports manga. Too bad scanlators dropped it a few years ago.
this manga, Ultimo, something catching my attention and added to my favourite list recently, it's from author of Shaman King (and Stan Lee). Only complain is that the art became less polished in later volumes, andthe increasing level of homosbut it's still something quite unique and get me hooked on riding through the book.

If I had to pick one, probably Bokurano or 7Seeds (which at least several others have mentioned). And now everyone will call my taste shit since I insulted others, but seriously, we have people ITT saying their favorite manga are Air Gear, Revenge Classroom (when that was being translated it was literally only known because people liked to make fun of it), Kimi no Rage Machi, Galko, "Mob psycho for the first manga to ever actually make me feel anything (I don't read a lot)," etc. This is fucking ridiculous.

>>157119714
>several of the others people have listed
What? I didn't say the whole thread was shit. There are simply far too many people with awful taste and/or tiny powerlevels (sometimes by their own admission).
>This is an appreciation thread
That's not how /a/ works, you don't get to make your thread a safe space. If someone said their favorite anime was Kimi no Iru Machi, or "this is the only anime I've ever felt something for (I don't watch a lot)," they'd be told they're faggots. Manga doesn't need special treatment.
>>157117047
they have lost their novelty. that's why the quality went down. and people forgot the thread's "official" purpose.
i was among the first anons making these, and even i forgot. i remember always writing a certain sentence when making these threads but i can't remember what it was.

>>157119751
I'll check it out.
i remembered what the sentence in >>157119789 was. it was something along the lines of
>post one page to convince other anons to read a manga
the no source thing just came from people posting interesting pages while leaving out the source on purpose because they were being cheeky.
it was the GOAL to get people interested, make fun of them and eventually provide source if you felt like it.
that kind of aspect is weaker nowadays, there are more people looking for recs than the people who doing that kind of bait and switch now.
>>157119815

They happen less often now since you need a pass to do them efficiently.
