Also, I get that Japan likes Boke and Tsukkomi routines, but in manga/anime it ussually fails into the category of a character doing something stupid, and the other character explaining why was it stupid, and I find it too unnecessary. I don't even care about the Tsukkomi being overly violent, it worked for the Three Stooges, just don't explain the joke, unless the explanation expands the joke somehow.

Asians have high alcohol sensitivity, they get drunk a lot easier than gaijin. If you can drink five pisswater beers in one sitting, they'll think you're a drinking legend since most can handle three at most. IIRC the only Asians who tend to be "good" at drinking are Mongolians.

I think they just find it funny. There's a folktale about a famous wrestler whose sister who gets held hostage by a robber that follows that formula. The robber's got a knife at her stomach, but she just sits there grinding solid bamboo arrows on the ground like they're made out of rotten wood, which scares the robber and he decides to flee. The wrestler catches the him as he's leaving and goes:
