Ironically, a second season would be vastly more popular than the first seeing as dozens more girls would be introduced that are all obsessed with the NEET MC.

The first season hit a bit too close to home for most people. With the second season, they'd be able to self insert as Tomoko and surround themselves with a harem of different girls like the delinquent, sheep-chan, komi-something, Dicky-chan and the rest.

I mean, it depends on what you want from the series I guess.
It introduces a couple new characters later on that mix up the stories a bit but personally I really wasn't a fan of that.

It becomes much more normal SOL like with a few depressing moments here and there.
