I always planned to watch all of arc-v before watching vrains. But then mono fell behind.

Yugioh tv anime's real bread and butter are the characters. Did people go watch DSOD because of the Plana plot? Fuck no, it was Kaiba, Yugi, and Jonouchi to some extent.

The story is just there to exhibit what a character will do and how they'll adapt under certain circumstances. It's important, but it always gets retarded in a Yugioh anime anyway, sometimes obscenely so.

How do you know he never could? Togashi made a hit with Yu Yu Hakusho and went on to make another with HxH that arguably spread out to an even wider audience, even if he can't be assed to draw for it more than once a year.

Kaz is probably one of the more tech savvy out of the total pool of shounen jump artists and seems capable of some kind of monthly publication, but was never interested for whatever personal reason.

I actually liked the plana stuff. It added a nice philosophical level to YGO and made the story a lot more complex. It reminded me a lot of Evangelion and the concept of Instrumentality. It also added more depth to the lore by tying back to Shadi, just further amplifying the mystery of who the man really is.

Pendulums, much like Synchros, were badly designed, and needed constant jack off plays to be worth a damn. That's bad game design and we should thank Konami for killing it. Links may be cancer possibly but hopefully Konami wll wise up and remove allowing them to summon with tokens and making player super reliant on their extra deck rather than the main deck. No more ridiculous archetypes that search and swarm all the time. Make the main deck do what it's suppose to do again and let the extra just work like it used to, a den of big monsters that are cool but not the end all be all to victory.
