Date vs. Ricardo and Ippo vs. Alfredo reinforced the notion of Savagry being what it took to cross that line, if you will. Ricardo didn't start taking Date apart until he 'reverted' from his 'polished' style. At the same time, Gonzales was pushed back to his old self by Ippo and then finally took him out.

Ippo's only genuinely executed savagry in the ring ONCE. It's going to take a really awful incident to one of his friends to push him over(My money is Gonzalez flat-out DESTROYING Sendo in an act of cruelty to push him over)

What I think happens is this;

>Ippo struggles initially with his next fight because it's a southpaw(though he HAS seen it once or twice already, that was years ago) but pulls through with minimal damage and shows a taste of the New Dempsey. Good return match, re-invigorating a few people here and there(looking at you Miyata, you mopey bitch)
