Yeah, Oda should have given a little foreshadow about Sabo's existence before Luffy's flashback.
And Sabo's surviving the incident and was saved by Dragon should be given more foreshadows too. Especially since Robin must have met Sabo in the timeskip but we get nothing about it at all.

The earliest and subtle foreshadow about Sabo surviving the incident was pic related.
From this page alone we can get that:
1. Dragon brought severely injured Sabo to his ship
2. Emporio Ivankov's existence is hinted and first appearance of Dragon's ship
3. A connection between Zoro's dojo and the revolutionaries (this maybe important to Wano arc since it's about overthrowing the Shogun and all)

I know Ace's stand was controversial but you have to have some perspective

Imagine if your father sacrificed himself, and as you were running away a person directly confronts you and calls your father a worthless coward. Is it juvenile? Is it a thinly veiled insult to try and turn the situation round? Clearly, but think of how high the emotions were at that exact moment. You're human and sometimes you can make very rash decisions in extreme circumstances.

Ace was Roger's kid. If Roger didn't also have that seemingly suicidal tenacity and unrelenting loyalty to people he cared about then he wouldn't have become Pirate King. It's a defining trait that can lead to incredible things or an untimely demise, as in Ace's case. If Ace didn't have that he wouldn't have gotten that far in the first place.

If you want to look at it purely logically then fine, but if you want to judge every person solely based on that you're going to condemn almost everyone including Luffy. Luffy is also prone to extreme rashness is he not? Just look at his promise to Sanji recently.

Zou (right after Dressrosa) was a fun, short arc.

The current arc is already in its climax and it's being quite fun desu, the most fun since the timeskip happened. Very nice enemy designs for the most part too, as well as a cool looking setting.

Yeah, I'm not exactly in OP for the fights. I like the OTT characters and pretty unique character designs.

Like I said, Marineford was SO incredible, I just felt it was lacking a little after it. Fishman island arc was ok, but a bit slow.

I'm honestly as excited as I've ever been waiting for the weekly releases after quite a few years where I didn't care much (to the point of waiting weeks for Dressrosa to advance further).

The current arc is not the most mindblowing thing ever and certainly isn't perfect, but it's so much fun so far, the climax is pretty fucking crazy and, above all, I feel that I can't really predict what's going to happen in future chapters, let alone the whole arc.

Dressrosa is also much better when read in a go instead of waiting weeks for chapters. Sure, it's still far from being as good as it probably should have been, but it's alright, I guess.
