Somehow, I doubt that. If he saw the opportunity emerge for Angra Mainyu to come out, no matter when it was in his life, he'd probably be very proactive about it. The Grail's work at the end of the Fourth War freaked him out much more than it did Shirou; he'd probably kill Sakura with a slight reluctance. In a "this kid shouldn't have to die"-sort of way, I'd imagine.

Actually if we are being real, she spent the majority of the time telling people she wanting to help and sneaking put of bed even when she should be, and that was only a couple days. Not only that, but she saved Shirou and the group through using her scarce magical energy, risking her life and opposing Zouken, who almost always knows when she is intervening. She had brass balls, and people just concentrate on when she broke down, even when it took more hell than most anyone could ever take to break her down. But her detractors act like she had the equivalent of the common cold it's so ridiculous.

Also remember, Rain was day 9 of 16, and it was only a couple days after that where she was "in the bed". HF always had her as a spotlight, whether you had the sweet moments where she tried to patch stuff up with Rin, the awesome Distant Twilight on day 11 where you find out Sakura's position on being a magus, and why she loved Shirou, a lot of stuff happened all at once. It shoots down those who say Sakura didn't have any relevance.

It's like when people say Saber was taken out very early on, but her "death" happened after a good deal of bro moments almost halfway through the route, and she was always treated with reverence from a narrative perspective, her actions always affected Shirou.

Opinions are opinions, but the silly ones that HF gets are about as silly as the ones who say UBW is just chuuni garbage or that Rin made a poor heroine in it.

If he was part of it, that wouldn't be where it would go, since he already knows the grail is tainted, and isn't Archer who would have the excuse of narrative amnesia, nor is he Ilya, who actively wants to keep the ritual going until being with Shirou changed that. Kerry would be able to feel Avenger's resonance with Sakura like Kirei does due to being exposed to AM, and be able to tell them the source of it is the ritual itself.

Through that, Rin wouldn't be able to go full magus because she was already getting the the idea of the ritual being the cause of the Shadow, she just dumped researching that, which would have helped Sakura out and prevented her further degradation and blackening, because she was trolled by Kirei into believing killing Sakura was best.

And further, Kerry knows that he put Avalon in Shirou, so he could. I would say the bigger issue is if Kerry could stand Kotomine for long enough to resist sniping him in the head to heal Sakura or find another healer for him.

Logically, Kerry has information and more than a willingness to give it.
