Watamote is the only one I can think of, I spent the majority of my day in my room with the curtains closed, it was kinda like watching my life up until then being mocked.
I cried myself to sleep that night.
> Name one anime that you managed to watch in one sitting
The entirety of Legend of Galactic Heroes, the laserdisc version (because BD version is shit).
Yes, I'm serious. I had a few half-minute breaks for food and piss over the two days of nonstop marathon, but that's pretty much it.
Is /a/ filled it simple minded posters now?
God, I loved it and made my Holidays worth it.
Considering that I primarily marathon anime, that list is almost as long as the list of anime that I've watched.
Katanagatari, and I picked the first episode right around when I was supposed to go to sleep
>evangelion (excluding EoE)
>kaiji S1 and half of S2
>Detroit Metal City
>Welcome to the NHK
>kaze no stigma
>initial D first stage (and the eurobeat editions of the three legend movies)
Watamote, although that's just 13 episodes.
My actual record is 25 episodes of Death Note.
me and my friend actually watched all of Diamond is Unbreakable in one sitting the other day. we started during the day and didn't finish till nearly morning the next day. It was really fun we went through an entire 8th of weed
Also, it's time to read the manga.
Gurren lagann 2nd part
Some of those are crap, but still hook you for more
Initial D; stopped halfway through Stage 3
Now and Then, Here and There--both times.
It just feels like a big movie, so it's weird to stop at any point. I mean, it's only like 4 and a half hours, but I really don't usually marathon even one cour series.
Hold my beer this is gonna be long
kill la kill
bokura wa minna kawaisou
Date a live
Attack on titan
my hero academia
miss kobayashi's dragon maid
jjba stardust crusaders
and MANY more
Tsukuyomi: Moon Phase
The first anime I ever watched.....
Serial Experiments Lain, at night with the lights off wearing headphones, the way its meant to be watched.
not Dragon Maid you fucking pleb
No Game No Life
Pretty much all the meaningless shit you can actually just turn your brain off for for a few hours.
I bombed a chem exam and I felt defeated as fuck, and before I knew it it was 3 in the morning.
I stayed up nearly all day to watch Ano Natsu.
Not even worth it but still.
the trick is to start every season at the same time
Space Patrol Luluco
I could have done others like KLK or Maid Dragon in a day, but I prefer to space out how much I watch in a day, usually one to three hours per day unless I'm hooked on something.
I watched all of Ajin S1 in one sitting with my little brother.
Then all of S2 the next night.Pretty damn good.
To be honest I should give him the credit for keeping us going, otherwise I could never watch so many episodes of one thing at once. Next day he watched 16 episodes of Avatar: TLA.
>having the attention span to sit still and watch a 50 episode series all at once while jacked up literal speed
Lain, Sora no Woto, K-ON!, K-ON!!, Working!, Now and Then Here and There, Panty and Stocking, Non Non Biyori, Flying Witch, GJ-Bu
I could go on, but I'm not going to bother.
Aiura, Kyou no Asuka show, Kyousogiga(OVAs), some of the Teekyu seasons.
Just marathoned all of 0079 the other day with someone who hasn't seen it yet. Has this place really gotten so bad that being able to marathon a show is some kind of accomplishment?
>all this time and your beautiful quads still go unchecked...
Toaru Majutsu no Index
Scorching Ping Pong Girls
Sakamoto Desu ga?
Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt
Gate: Thus the JSDF Fought There!
>Name one anime that you managed to watch in one sitting
Bow down to me, for I am the Conqueror of the Endless Eight.
Literally any 1 cour anime if it's not a boring piece of shit.
There was a time when I marathoned nearly every anime. The hardest one was Aria, it's just not meant to be watched in one sitting. The most impressive one was probably all seasons and OVA of Minami-ke. Lots of fun.
KoiChoco and the first season of Jormungand. I finished Higurashi's first season in about 24 hours and marathoned from episode 3 to the end.
FLCL was the only one I've watched in one sitting. Granted it's only about 6 episodes long but it was one of the most comfy afternoon I've had in years.
Also the gifs are cool.
Madoka Magica, including rebellion.
My housemate started watching it as I went to bed, I wanted to stick around for a couple episodes so I did, eventually we watched the whole thing including rebellion instead of sleeping, I then 20 miniutes after finishing went to work for my 13 hour shift.
I used to exclusively marathon shows..
The longest series is definitely YuYu Hakusho. There's no way I could do something like that now, but when I was younger I did it all the time.
I watched all of Code Geass in one sitting. It was during the apex of my anime addiction.
If we count ovas then:
War in the Pocket and Stardust Memory
Dominion Tank Police
If only anime:
FMA (it wasn't in one sitting but fuck it, it was two whole days dedicated only to watching that)
Haruhi S1+S2 (skipping endless eight)
Growing older I find I now take my pace with shows if it is pretty long. I usually watch something like five or six episodes a day and I'm fine with that. When I was younger I could blast through an entire two cour in a day and a half. Is it just because I'm getting older or have I become fatigued with anime? I've noticed I definitely have problem doing longer marathons now compared to several years ago.
When I first really got into One Piece a few years ago, I marathoned like 120 episodes over a weekend. I skipped the OP/ED and previous episode recap so each episode was really only about 18 minutes, but it was still like 40 hours of video watched in a 48 hour period.
After this I realized just how much filler bullshit is put into the OP anime and switched to reading the manga, only watching the anime for cool fight scenes.
Chuunibyou. Twice infact. All for my waifu.
I was thoroughly gripped but then the overall ending was weird and I felt like I wasted a day when I should have just spaced it out.
I mean, I'm a grown man watching Japanese cartoons so I was doomed to waste time.
Hell, I take a dump longer than complete season of this series
