It just doesn't make sense no matter how you look at it. In early notes, two generals were meant to be lovers. In Sailor V, the climax is that despite falling in love with every guy she meets, even in the Silver Millennium, she can't have a lover because she already has the princess in her heart. In Sailor Moon, the old Princess Serenity makes fun of Venus for never falling in love. Later, Rei's casablanca side story is about how she cannot fall in love and why, and the Stars arc, in a similar conversation between Rei and Minako, has both of them conclude that despite Minako's boy-hunting, its the Princess that's already in their hearts.

From start to finish, there's never been anything contradictory to this in the manga. Venus had canonically crushed on Kunzite, according to Artemis and Adonis, along with every other man she met, yet the "such a curious princess" scene shows him indifferent to her.

But the bisexuals are everywhere. Even Haruka, whose reincarnation is with Michiru, wants that princess pie. Ditto with Seiya. And Usagi lusting over Rei. And on a siden-note, the implied adultery between Endymion and future/original Sailor Pluto by Takeuchi.

Ranma is probably the only series I can always go back to. It's such a comfy show.

Too bad the story progression is awful though.

Genma doesn't even have a dojo. Pretty sure Nodoka was the one actually working. You can blame Takahashi for the lack of realism, but you cannot claim the statement that they are loaded simply because they own of that property.
