Its first dip was probably Touma appearing in the opening credits at the very end. Indexfriends knew he'd be here, but not against Mugino, come on.

Then the Mugino fight happened and it was good.

Railgun only fans who didn't read/watch Index or the Railgun manga had no idea Touma was going to fix everything. (Though I'd argue only one person can stop the experiment, and it wasn't Mikoto or Touma) and they started jumping ship.

The final arc almost seemed like it was written specifically to cater to Railgun-only fans. But the popularity never picked up again. In fact, they probably just managed to piss off both sides in the end.

The fact that talks about a season 3 of ANYTHING Raildex related is only just starting up now, might be a bit telling as to the success S actually had by its end. I personally liked it...

The only thing I liked about the STUDY shit was Mikoto Railgunning a satellite.

I never understood JC Staff's interpretation of this fight. Touma seemed to just kind of fall over for no reason and was wide eyed the entire time.
