Um, the VR space is very popular and everyone duels with it. There are even VR celebrities like Aoi in it where they turn into idols or other things. The Knights are trying to do something suspicious and going around beating everyone in VR land, but Yusaku kind of appears as of late in response to them and messes with their plans. He becomes a superhero known as The Playermaker in the VR land, but his identity remains a mystery to everyone. Aoi starts to develop a crush for the mysterious hero but she doesn't realize that one of her best friends is him.

There is a Keikaku man who observes the Playmaker, knights, and the VR world, but all he really does is stand behind some dark room full or terminals and guys dressed in black while he stares blankly at Yusaku through his monitors. Sometimes he says, "Let's leave that aside for now".

What if, instead of/along side monsters that can start the summon (astro/chronograph) you have monsters whos summoning condition is to use monsters for two summons at the same time?
Say you have two lvl 4 monsters and one of them is a tuner, and you have a poly card in your hand. You could:
Poly them while you synchro for a violet/white card,
Poly them while you xyz for a violet/black card,
Xyz them while you synchro for a black/white card
Or do all three for it to look like zarc, with or without the pendulum attribute.
Doesn't even have to be a hard requirement: the card could have different effects depending on which, and how many of the requirements you fulfilled.

A damn shame that Rebellion Dragon was so restricted. I get that he was the first Hybrid Pendulum monster and thus he was more of an experiment, but Zarc-dammit he got shafted hard. I mean, Venom and Wing still have effects when summoned by other ways (Wing can also be summoned by Tzolkin and Absolite Dragon). Having him become the Ultimate Falcon (aka jobber) of the SK Odd-Eyes hybrids didn't help at all.

Rebellion should have at least had the Xyz Dragon ATK-buff effect as a regular effect independent of an Xyz monster as Xyz material.

Read the wiki for short episode summaries. Those don't really capture the essence of the bullshit either, though.

After Synchro, Yuya gets busy egao brainwashing Academia by the masses. By the time they actually get to Academia, beating the bad guys doesn't mean shit because they slip away and execute their plans anyway. Yuya merges with the other Yus, becomes bad boss Zarc (whose backstory was dumped as dryly as possible in half an episode), and the final boss is beaten by Reira possessed by Ray, who had as much depth as Zarc (0).

Then there's some amnesia arc where Yuya spends 2-3 episodes getting his memories back, and then a string of pretty lame duels against the other lancers (except for Dennis' duel, which was the only decent one). Yuya vs Reiji III is the final duel, and of course featured a mini-game collectathon right in the middle of who can grab and set action cards the fastest.

Yuzu comes back in a bubble of light, and all the other Yus and Ruris are now forever residing in Yuya and Yuzu. Yuya gives Yuzu a quick handshake, and then runs off to duel Yusho.

I forgot to mention, Ray is the combination of all the bracelet girls and was the daughter of Leo in the past original world before it split in 4.

They were split in 4 because when Zarc first appeared, Ray used cards powered by nature to stop him, which also had the consequence of splitting the world into 4 (and Ray and Zarc into 4 counterparts) because reasons.
