Okay I have analyzed the scene in detail. Yuya didn't just deflect Alicetelia's lance. He actually stopped her in mid-air and absorbed all of her momentum using only one hand. You can tell this because her cape is still blowing in the wind after his stick hit her lance meaning it's not a freeze frame. So basically an unarmored man on foot with a stick stopped an armored knight that was charging him at full speed using only the strength of one arm. Even more signficant, Alicetelia appeared to be struggling while Yuya seemed to be enjoying himself and wanted to continue the fight.

I think Alicetelia will have to rely on BTFOing Selesia since Yuya is out of her league. Yuya didn't even have to use his Persona thing to stop her. Maybe Alicetelia has good defensive strength but poor attack strength like another anime character that she resembles.

Four episodes in and it's set up the vague skeleton of a plot, the specters of a good/bad faction with scarce motivation, and this is with dedicating CHUNKS of episodes to some of the lazying info-dumping I've ever seen.
I am 100% convinced they gave Meteora the most boring, lengthiest manner of speech possible to eat up as much episode-time as she possibly could. They could have condensed what she said into two minutes, but it went on for like seven or eight. And then the NEXT scene was just shots of them eating as Meteora KEPT FUCKING TALKING.

I really wanted to like this anime, but it's one of the hundreds that take interesting concepts and throw as many of the generic and boring tropes that japan loves at it until it becomes just that, generic and boring. Why can't Meteora into cosmology? The worlds exist and interact with each other. If there were no principles to enable these abnormal phenomena, then those phenomena also could not happen. She didn't even consider the possibility that modern civilization's understanding of natural laws may be called fallacious or incomplete. Her hypothesis did not adequately account for the critical human factor. That the phenomena can occur in the first place is the greatest proof that the world does not run on the principles which the phenomena are supposedly in contradiction to. The entire basis for her reasoning is flawed. She sees something happen and then concludes that it should not happen because it could not happen, but she is obviously mistaken here, for if it couldn't happen then she could not have seen it happen. Unless she doubts her own powers of observation, doubting either the truth of her observation or her ability to understand what she can plainly see, then reason should not have led her to question the possibility of the content in her observation. Meteora's grasp on the workable shaft of logic appears to be tenuous, and that's putting it generously, for she obviously has a very poor character for rational speculation and analysis, despite what the author wants to tell us. She has failed to understand the very foundation of the cosmos she inhabits, not even acknowledging how little she knows, and from this it can only be concluded that Meteora is stupid.
