How? By having good animation?

The OVA has some good animation but it feels nothing like JoJo and the actual art style and character designs are awful. The anime captures the spirit of JoJo perfectly.

The OVA is good but it's not the full Stardust Crusaders experience. You would have to watch it in addition to the manga or new anime to truly appreciate it.

I liked the OVA as a finale more than the anime's (except the awful Vanilla Ice fight). The fight with Dio was more enjoyable in tone and pacing in the OVA.
