I actually used them throughout, Aoi has great range and Haruka is basically a faster and just as hard-hitting Hibiki. Now then Kurumi was mostly benched, as much as I have a thing for loli catgirls and as much as I genuinely tried to make use of her bomb MAP.

It was incredibly hilarious how Haruka and Aoi still tried to hide their identities in that crazy group of superheroes, even though it was dead obvious for like 95% of the cast.

It was rather sudden, as I stumbled upon the NANANANANA and liked it so much that after a while I decided to put my backlog aside and watch it. And it's pretty darn hilarious and even yuri-ish.

It also has very similar moments as Twinkle, like an episode about getting turned into catgirls by a gas/drug.

Show is campy as fuck. Just like last years Nurse Witch Kumugi R but in this case I didn't watch original so I can't be disappointed

I'm mostly disappointed by how bad it's actually animated compared to the original. The silliness is good, but it needs either a better direction or better animation, and Twinkle frankly had both, even though it still wasn't objectively a very good show - I loved it though.

Twinkle's last OVA unfortunately had a big drop in writing and direction, but at least the animation was still there. The original OVA was actually pretty darn good even though it was quite a bit more serious.

Like the original series, yes. It's always been first and foremost a pachinko franchise that got a promotional anime in different variations. And as for Break, look at the OP, it basically shoves pachislots in your face.

Also, the plot between the original TV and its OVA is limited to pachislots (I take it the princess loli and the Italy crap is from there). Not sure whether there was anything between that and Break though.

Also the show really isn't yuri, the franchise always had some undertones, obviously, but every installation so far has the heroines clearly liking boys, with or without particular crushes. Which is mostly local Tuxedo Mask, who is also part ally, part comedy relief side character.

But as someone who is rather fond of deep friendship between girls, the cuddly scenes every now and then are a good enough dose for my heart.
