Yes. I always order around 10-15k shipments from AmiAmi using SAL Parcels and never ever get taxed. Either that or you order through a place that offers undervaluing, then you can just ask for them to value a figure at $20 and use RSAL, but there's still a chance that it will get taxed.

Yes, that's roughly 100-150 USD. If you get a Parcel it goes through Rio de Janeiro and they barely tax anything, while other smaller packages all go through Curitiba and they're pretty much the opposite. By law they shouldn't tax anything under $50, but I had multiple actual $20 stuff taxed for no reason, so if you can, try to go for bigger orders and use Parcels.

I got fucked when I started out, because I used to just order RSALs through AmiAmi and pretty much everything got taxed, even cheap figma, but now I only make big orders with them and everything gets here with no issues, since RJ gives no fucks. If you want to make smaller orders and use RSAL instead of paying around $30 for shipping, Big In Japan, Mandarake, Jungle and Solaris are great for undervaluing, as long as you try to keep everything under $50. I've ordered stuff through all of those stores and never got taxed when I asked for them to undervalue to around that amount.

No, I knew it would be big, I kept trying to think I'd make it work because it's a gorgeous figure and she's my favorite TLR.

It's just way more massive than even my Kuroyukihime and she takes up 1/2 of an entire shelf alone. I was hoping to save space by moving my Ro-kyu-bus up to the top but getting the box made me realize that even that won't be enough. I would have to lose my slutterflies on the best shelf unless I want to move Darkness up to the top level which is not where I want her to be or I'll have to obscure my slutterflies.

Even if I do make room and manage to keep my favorite figures at eye level Momo's coming next month. If I barely have room for Darkness there's no way in hell I can shelve half my best collection for BOTH. So it's not just that I'm having trouble with Darkness. I don't know if thats only the case for big packages but all the times I've used amazon.jp for games and manga it was super cheap mostly around 1500¥ and since they already handle customs as well and for some reason the fees there are lower as well they even arrive much much faster than when I order somewhere else.
The only reason I don't buy more stuff there is that I can't combine orders.
