I know, my earlier digital stuffs were crap. If you want another advice I guess that would be to study other artists. Having a goal and trying as much as possible to get to it is important, I guess that why lots of people stagnate for years. I'm just one guy with his own experience so it's not like I can easily compare with the experience of others, I just kept going by not counting the hours and I ended there.

The point is to "steal" what you like about an artist, and learning how to do appealing stuffs. Like if one makes great bodies you can learn from him and learn what makes them good. Only if you blindly copy what you see and you don't know fundamentals. Learn fundamentals to deconstruct other artists art and do targeted studies. Been working well for me anyways.

Only speaking based on my experience, but first off don't limit yourself to drawing animu girls, try painting nature and other subjects. Painting environments will help you understand color harmony, value structure, and perpsective. It will help break the flat-coloring mentality that's common to anime art, not that it's a bad thing, but it usually limits how an artist would think about coloring. In short, get out of your comfort zone.

2017 has been the best year so far. Visibly i didn't improve that much over the years but i got faster, work in less layers and actually color stuff more often with more and more stuff ending up colored these days.

Endgame is hard to tell, I do a lot of "i want to try doing this" based on what i see other artists doing and that's how i got to where i'm now. Though from the artists i know i think hjl and as109 were the ones that influenced me the most.
