Because it's made to please original dragonball fans, not fans of Z.

Fusions last for shorter amounts of time depending on how powerful the forms are, with SSJ4 Gogeta lasting 10 minutes and SSB Vegito lasting about 3-5. Given that Potara earrings result in much stronger fusions than the Fusion Dance, it is likely that SSB Vegito would be stronger.

Of course, this all just fan speculation, anything could happen.
