Latest manga spoilers!
I can't believe he just did this!
Just when I thought he couldn't get any better, truly the best boy.
Correct, but pink poodles should get some head pats as well.
who /marine/ here?
The best thing about this picture is Meteora.
Official best girl rating so far
Rui > Yuya > Meteora > Hime > Red > Mamika > Lancer
What other anime genres would you like to see?
As many as she wants.
Marine > everyone
Marine is cute but she's still inferior to best girl Mamika.
Do you think that Hime has some great plan, and that is the reason she is transporting in characters that do not want to help her, Or as we have seen with Mamika, where she was send in with lacking information about the situation.
Could also be that she has no fucking clue about what she is doing
>Could also be that she has no fucking clue about what she is doing
To be fair, she's talking to herself so it's not like there's anybody telling her what she's supposed to do.
Why are only humans being pulled into the world? I want a proper eldritch horror to appear in the middle of Tokyo.
>Not because of Megidola
Rui always looks so happy! I want to protect her smile!
Probably. It's what fake nationalists do anyway.
It's always "enrich the country, strengthen the military" talk with people like her, but when things get hard she wants to "end this wretched world". No dedication.
She's Arianrhod from Kiseki with the numbers filled off.
100% they will show us new characters in second half
Nobody needs created girls when real ones are this gute.
>you point a sword at his back
>he offers you his hand
>you call him a faggot for eating a sundae
>he would offer you his hand
How many layers of burger country inception to go with those fresh pickles and onions with honey mustard you stole off the commercial's set when they were looking? Yes, not a typo there.
Literally none of these assholes deserve him
>re-creators brings in the weakest 2hu
>she still fucks everybody's shit up and solves global warming because of how wide the power level gap is
>/r/ clownpiece and alolan cirno like this plz
looks like artists are really liking Yuya
somebody who'd shout "YOU'RE LIVING YOUR LIFE WRONG" while punching the bad guy in the face while a sick OST plays.
Reminds me of Ban. He is even gay too.
Is shark teeth supposed to be from some pseudo-Fullmetal Alchemist?
Looks like she's from some sort of a high school thriller or whatever, which is a shame, because she definitely looks like a FMA chara.
At least the 3 doujins she'll get in her lifetime will be great.
Because he's a good boy who takes care of evil mahou shoujos.
>draw Mei-Lin in casual clothes
>put a Selesia tag next to it
Redfags become desperate with their shitposting. Just one more episode with Hime and Mamika and you won't be able to post here at all.
Authors are probably preparing to change the focus to Hime's team somewhere in the middle of the show and to make them the MAIN team getting all the screentime and attention.
Hime's team already has better characters
With better designs
From non-casual and not newfag friendly source materials
With Maaya Sakamoto and Aki Toyosaki
Re:something (as in re:incarnation), Tensei, Zero Kara Hajimeru,...etc. are Isekai keywords to let the reader/viewer know that the story involves some kind of transportation to another world.
I shamelessly pick up anything that has these words in the title.
Mamika is the best and you fags need to fuck off.
The cutest poodle around.
>yfw there is a slice of life character but because they have no extraordinary talents they kind of just blend in the background having their own adventure as they deal with alternate universe japan
>yfw they probably dont even realize they are a character from a work of fiction until they see some kid reading a manga or watching an anime of them, thinking the guy looks just like him until they start showing him all of his friends and past events
>ywn see the mindbreak that occurs to him as he wasnt created to be strong willed or at all and was just trying to live a comfy life and worry about uni and friendship drama at most and now has to face the fact that he isn't real
*poodle begs for money.webm
>mfw cipher made me just to suffer
>Lithe as hell
>Shit eating grin
>Sharp teeth and edgy eyes
So many factors that directly pander to my dick and all the attention will be paid to the most boring girls.
So this is who Hime was talking about. Hime came to this world to have revenge against all creators who made the best girl lose. Setsuna, Noe, Zessica, Kuroneko, Minori, Miyuna, you all will be revenged.
It's one dull solid color for the most part. Not very creative.
Her cute CUTE C-U-T-E beret almost makes up for it, though.
But that's what the transformation sequence is for. And even then, it's not much of an excuse. Plenty of other magical girl shows have the main girl in a school uniform that doesn't look super lazy, and they manage.
reminds me of sore ga seiyuu
Don't worry, the mahou shoujo + VROOOM combo can't be beaten.
How does he fair if he is brought to the real world?
Hime needs to fight again. That spinning sword shit was cool as fuck.
>teaching her vices when her presumably hardass onee-sama is present
I think it has the same problems as every other over-saturated genre: stale tropes, bland characters, and uncreative use of the premise outside of a few small works. Re:Creators is at least trying to do something interesting by bringing fictional characters into the real world instead of the usual "Average MC suddenly gets teleported to another world" scenario.
When was the last time Sakamoto and Suzumura had major roles in an anime together? I'm thinking Ouran, but it must be more recent than that.
I just like that he seems like a pretty good guy. He offers Selesia help even when she threatens him, and he says he never forgets the things others do for him. That's cool, man.
It's not, but at least the show is trying something different. If they don't stop explaining every god damn thing soon I will drop it though. Hopefully the rest of the cast jump-starts this snorefest into something worth watching.
yes, maybe, but we need an episode where it show's mc's drawing style and inspirations, if he has any, and see for ourselves if he really is capable of coming up with hime's art concept. i'd wager on mc giving her tips on trying to draw out of her comfort zone and she somehow came up with hime. because that one image of a fantasy style drawing shown in episode 1, it's so far away from the german uniform style hime we have now
Are people expecting a big fight every episode or something? Pump the brakes, there are 22 episodes.
If they didn't take a moment to explore and observe what they can and can't do in the real world people would be bashing it.
I have no problem with them setting the groundwork and preparing for the over-arching plot. I have a problem with the way they're doing it.
>"What was that?!"
>Cue Meteora explaining everything, even why it probably happened and what it means in the context of the show, in a quiet monotone voice
It's lazy and boring as fuck.
Netorare. I want to see how well fat faceless men will deal with CUH-RAY-ZEE.
Or something like pic related. Just to see if their weird designs will let them exist outside their works.
Next episode should be a Hime episode then they can go back to Linkin Park afterwards.
Personally, she needs someone like Gintoki.
all she'll ever get are more chances to make silly faces. no character developments' just faces
Because most of the anime people see every season are light novel or manga adaptions where the show creators juggle to condense large amount of material into one cour. That's the kind of pacing people became used to.
She doesn't hydra makes sure of it
What would have been your reaction if the anime did that scene like this?
You know... the more I think about Re:Creators, the more I realize how existentially horrifying its premise is. How could anyone create a work of fiction in good conscience knowing that any suffering they inflict on their fictional characters is happening to a real person somewhere out there? It's even worse when you consider how far-reaching this is. Is every character somebody thinks up real, even if it's only an idle thought lasting a few seconds? If I happen to think of a character getting raped or tortured say, then does that mean I've done something equivalent to ordering the raping or torturing of somebody in reality?
Is Hime the Tenshi of our generation?
But Hime seeks vengeance against the gods, like Yuri and not Tenshi.
Then who is Tenshi?
>Alicetelia will never vroom to you
>Alicetelia will never pick you up
>Alicetelia will never fly with you across the city
>Alicetelia will never defend you from bullies
>Alicetelia will never princess carry you to your room
Naw we replace souta with the better otonashi not the key one
All of them are created. They've just grown up so they don't remember.
She looks silly and majestic at the same time
The author is a hack. Black Lagoon character designs had more effort put into them.
Why did the anime studio ask a lazy as fuck person like Black Lagoon's author to come up with the creators instead of someone else who has done designs for different anime and manga genres?
Are you seriously saying that chuuni isn't top tier design?
Who are you responding to? Anyone who watches anime knows there is a cooldown episode after a fight. That doesn't mean this show actually handles it well. The lazily delivered exposition by the token exposition npc is pretty bad. And even with them the justification for the fights are still poor because there's still barely a plot. The only reason it's maintaining a viewership is through cute girls but they aren't enough to make japan buy it, clearly.
Spend an entire episode on a Fucking Fire Spell inside a fucking apartment building surrounded by paper.
I thought Library Bitch was suppose to be smart.
If they wanted to test Revsioning Power, a spell to just simply change the color of your hair or uniform would have been a hundred times safer.
Are you creator, or are you character?
I am so down for this show to not take itself too goddamn seriously. This episode gave me a lot of hope for the show, if only Meteora wasn't so much of a walking info dump. I think the one thing that annoyed me was that no one told her to stop mid sentence or seemed to be confused. The way Yuuya was talking about shit was so much more entertaining in comparison to the way she was talking about shit
>character was designed to be in info-dump NPC in a game
>is now an info-dump character in real life
My point was that no one seems to react as if she's an info dump. I guess I should have put it that way, I don't mind that she is an expository NPC, but her scenes are so tedious because everyone kinda takes her seriously
I enjoy her "infodumping" because she's actually engaging in speculation and conducting experiments to test her theories instead of just stating facts. In the end someone has to talk about these topics. Ideas don't transplant themselves through magic into other heads (unless you got magic books), they need to be talked about.
Plus she's cute and her monotone voice is soothing.
>because everyone kinda takes her seriously
why wouldn't they? they're interested.
Pretty much this.
I guess some people just can't handle so much kudere.
So am I, but even I find it hard to follow what she is trying to say. When the characters don't ask her what she means by something, it doesn't seem very realistic. She's spouting some complex ideas that don't all make immediate sense because she is hypothesizing. I think it's for convenience that they aren't making the other characters confused, which is fine, but I'd like less in the future. That's just my opinion tho
>look at my EPIC jojo reference xD isn't he fr*ckin edgy?
>generalfags so desperate to keep everything in one thread that they didn't make a better one and move
This is one disgusting thread.
It's not like she's the only one who is talking. Thanks to illustrator-san and souta we now know she's from the anime and doesn't know things from recently published LN chapters that aren't covered by the show yet for example.
>She's spouting some complex ideas that don't all make immediate sense because she is hypothesizing.
I don't find them particularly confusing. What she's saying is easy enough to follow. It's just theories though, they need verification.
I think the translation might be a bit bad, some of the things she was saying in episode 2 was structured like bullet points.
Their characterizations seem all fairly simple. She got +INT, red is the hotblooded one, persona is the aloof bro who does his own thing, lancer is seiba etc.
They're not rounded characters. They're stereotypes. Which is fairly common in anime. This time we could have the excuse that they are summoned anime characters, but their "real life" people don't act any less stereotypical either.
Yeah. I mean, don't get me wrong, I like Meteora. I'm not saying any of this to be like "she sucks," just hoping for a better presentation for her in future episodes.
>some of the things she was saying in episode 2 was structured like bullet points
I agree. And, I get your point that she isn't the only one giving ideas, but the way she says things is just so convuluted at times. My issue is that the characters seem really accepting right off the bat. Hopefully now that certain concepts are in play, they can just have her info dump less. Anyways, good show I like it
>terrible upscale and compression artifacts
>This episode gave me a lot of hope for the show
90% of the episode was a Meteora monologue, I'm not sure how it gave you hope.
If anything, they've made it abundantly clear they're 100% committed to a 'tell, don't show' style of storytelling that relies entirely on a monotone character dumping exposition in monologues. The brief interludes of humour and action won't spare the show's story from being told in the most insufferably dry and uninteresting fashion, nor that story overtaking everything else's screentime and focus.
>they've made it abundantly clear they're 100% committed to a 'tell, don't show' style of storytelling that relies entirely on a monotone character dumping exposition in monologues
We're still in the setup phase. Remember this?
Honestly, this show reminds me a lot of F/Z in terms of its monologuing, and that was even worse. I'm not gonna fault a show for having exposition at the beginning when I've enjoyed other shows with lots of dialogue. My hope primarily comes from the characters and the way they're all kinda taking on different perspectives about what's happened to them. I was afraid it would focus too much on Sota
We are yet to confirm almost any of the theories including impression, to me the main characters are almost on the same side of the story with us wondering what the hell is up and what's about to happen. The only combat we've gotten was with Mamika and that was because she's a complete loose cannon who's also hopelessly naive. I don't mind if they talk about what they think this is about or where they are going with this in that sense. It's been a very short while since the characters were transported here and now. Hime is most likely the one to bring them together and clear up the characters confusion. Then we will probably see them progress towards a certain target with less theories from Meteora and others.
