Tomoko has seriously realistic issues and is (by anime standards) pretty unattractive. She has a corrupt attitude and bad personality and if you think she looks by western standards she is untouchable by Japanese ones.

Face it, like with Panty and Stocking nips just can't handle truly flawed female characters.

The find any deviation from the norm has to made up with some other moe and/or gimmick to make being "unnatural" less unappealing.

They are like the opposite of the British when it comes to characterization.

Good thing the manga expanded its reach then. Tomoko has more people to interact with and some chapters have flipped things on their head, like that one chapter where Yuu, Komi-something and Tomoko went to plan out a vacation and Yuu was the odd one out while the other 2 were actually getting along for once. The manga somehow doesn't feel like it's beating a dead horse at this point.

It's pretty common to have a full run of an anime on Niconico. It just happened to be Watamote this time.
Last year they were showing all 24 eps of Haruhi and in February there was Spice and Wolf S1+2, and since then obviously jack shit has occurred for those series.

Then again, Kino's Journey got a new anime...
