Haise does not just "accept" Kaneki's suicidal desires. He simply "accepts" that he is truly Kaneki, which is what roused is suicidal proclivities. During this time, "Haise" remembered the abuse he suffered at the hands of his mother (a memory which was repressed even before he lost his memories.) The ramifications of this abuse manifested as a yearning for death, leading Kaneki towards the path of self destruction that several characters such as Banjou and Touka wanted him to steer away from. Everything Kaneki did was to "protect" everyone, but in reality it was because he wanted to die while saving everyone (but he was oblivious to this, it was subconscious) This is why he thought Arima was "beautiful" and mistook the corpses in V14 as "flowers." However, Kaneki was not aware of this subconscious desire to die until his battle with Kanae as "Haise."

This is why "Haise" (having regained his memory) attacks "Kaneki" saying that they should have died that day in V14. This is when the subconscious became conscious.

I feel your confusion stems from separating "Kaneki" and "Haise" as two different consciousnesses. "Kaneki" (the haggard tortured silhouette which later appeared as a child) was merely an abstract, the Jungian equivalent to the the "Shadow" aspect of the ego. When Haise accepted "Kaneki", he assimilated that aspect and become his original self once again. This is why I classified this moment as "Individualization", as Ishida was borrowing heavily from Jung's philosophy during the Haise/"Kaneki" duality.

Haise "faded away" but only in the aspect Kaneki awoke from his "dream."

That is simple, actually. The "Shadow" is the dissociated aspect of one's self. It is repressed part of one's duality one is afraid to acknowledge and outright rejects. "Haise" lived in fear of his past as "Kaneki" - which is why his Shadow appeared to him as a malevolent and tortured version of his past self threatening to swallow him. It's rage, anger, and feral nature was molded by his deepest insecurities in regards to his past self. The Shadow was begging to be acknowledged, but Haise kept running away from it. But once Hinami proves to him that "Kaneki Ken" was in fact a good person, he resolved to "save" himself and and finally looked at it. "Kaneki" (the child/shadow) was little different from his Rize tulpa at that point. It was symbolic to his past and what he remembered. Once he accepted "Kaneki" as a part of himself, "Haise" ceased to be. The dream was over.

I keep making callbacks to Jung mostly because this is exactly what Ishida was using. He even name dropped Jung in the original story, which is how I know for a fact he's researched him.

Incidentally, Ishida did something similar in the original Root A drafts. Shironeki had a Kuroneki tulpa that he rejected because he was "weak."

Kaneki and Haise both thought Touka was attractive. That attractiveness led Haise to become interested in her, and the more he observed her, the more he liked her. It's irrelevant and wrong to talk about if he 'liked' her beforehand because he (Kaneki) probably didn't think about it. His life was turned upside down, he underwent extreme torture, and had a slew of mental issues. It's like in real life when you don't consider someone romantically at all until they are brought to your attention. Mutsuki created the male persona to deal with her real, psycothic female self. As someone who just looks at this from the outside and not seriously reading the manga, it's kinda obvious that Touka strongly likes Kaneki and him to her.
