That's the dumbest post I've read in a while. Disliking older stuff doesn't mean that you're ignorant of it. Simply might be because of animation quality and over all art. If the story and writing aren't exceptional then there will never be 9 anime pre 2000 are better than one released after simply because of they look worse due to being so old. To be completely honest, the only genre that peaked pre 2000 was mecha with EVA and Zeta and escaflowne. Apart from that every other genre by far surpassed its shows pre 2000. Unless you want to provide some examples of romance, drama, action etc that hold that title today. And please don't say cowboy bebop now.

It's not like your everyseason today has 50+ new shows starting, while your average season from before 1990 had 5 new shows starting.
