You're welcome to love or hate or just appreciate Eva but you can't refute its influence on anime or its popularity. The "its2deep4you" meme struck a nerve with the sensitive brainlets of 4chan so people started to hate it or if you chose to "get" it you'll see "themes" that aren't really there in order to make excuses for its obvious flaws. I give it a solid 8.5/10.

Did Eva diddled you as a kid?

It feels a lot like Code Geass where there's good characters and story with a fantastic ending, but most of the series is filler shit you don't really care about.

As a animation, yes, it isnt as strong as i though it would be. It starts pretty slow, becomes you kinda generic shounen in the middle. The real gold is the later half and ending.

I know that they arent even close to a real human mind complexity, but it was pretty good to see characters with more than 1 or 2 emotions and with real mind problems. Better than 99% of anime on that point.
