After this episode where she remarked that she really wants her creator to be as passionate about her as Red's is about his, she's going to find out that she wasn't meant to be memorable or anything. Her creator will be detached, remembering her only as part of a project he was being paid to work on. Meteora sounds like those side characters in JRPGs that get cult followings. The studio being hard to find and virtually unknown makes me believe that her work was a one-off that wasn't hugely successful but has passionate enough fans to justify her presence in the story.

I don't like being able to predict the flow of a story. This is anime-original so I hope the obvious will not always come to pass. They could at least subvert it so that her creator was super passionate about her but didn't care about the rest of the cast in the game. Like despite Meteora just being an NPC tied to one location late in the game, he put a lot of effort in and wished she could have had more presence. But she'll probably just get a rude awakening by belonging to a creator that churns out designs by the dozen and doesn't even remember the game she's from or what her purpose was.

Now, the big guy with a gun also kinda just looks like a trope character, without any specific influence, as well as Yandere-kun.

Not saying she was random or useless, but that she's still not a principle character that players are supposed to be invested in. You can have NPCs fill important roles and say important things without expecting players to care about them. So far we've seen

- Female LN lead
- an NPC in an RPG
- Main antagonist from (what sounds like) a shounen series
- Main girl from a magical girl show
- MC from some dark fantasy anime

One of these things is not like the other. Meteora being popular was probably outside of her creator's expectations, if he had any at all for her. Whatever the case may be we'll find out next week.

Eh, I still feel like the popularity idea from the show itself fits better than this theory. The only character who stands out is Metorea, and we'll probably get that explained within a couple of episodes.

Remember, Izaya is quite a bit more popular than Sho, probably only competing with Shizuou for most popular in DRRR, and he's honestly one of the most recognizable recent Anime characters, I feel.

Selesia is your generic justice heroine, yes, and her ideals will probably be tested or not during the course of this anime. But she's definitely not Asuna, not when she jobbed three times. If she continues to do so, that will be on Hiroe and Aoki.

I see people get angry for Selesia's confrontation with Hime, Mamika, and Yuuya. But for someone who's living in a war setting, it is normal for Selesia not to trust everyone easily. She did trust Meteora after saving her, so I'm bit confused why she didn't trust Yuuya and Mamika. If anything, that's inconsistency by Aoki or/and Hiroe. It's probably more complex than that.

In the hypothesis that the author can simply observe her world, then the anime director has absolutely no participation in this unless his changes are actually things the author originally perceived wrongly. Having him imagine a power up would be him perceiving something about her world (and forcing him to think shouldn't be a problem as his editor probably also asks for random modifications like that). And that vision should be valid for the anime world as well, since it's the mapping of a reality observed by the original author.

In the same way if the creators are god, then an act that would change the future anime adaptation would need to affect retroactively in her perspective. For example if volume 2 has the appearance of an old friends of hers it means that she in volume 1 time has to know about him already in her perspective. Which then comes to the point that he needs to publish in the LN for it to be adapted and inserted in her world retroactively for the perspective of it being adapted in the anime version regardless if it's two worlds or not.

And the third possibility is that every adaptation has it's own world or not, which could mean there are as many Selesias as interpretations of her story by the gods. I imagine they'll make that theory eventually.
