There were ambulance and police on the streets this episode, and lots of discussion online since episode 1. MC is the narrator and he is not watching television or looking at the incident after cops arrived, and instead is only interested in the girls.

And the police is probably not yet in the arrest all cosplayers phase to capture them in the restaurant as long as they managed to escape without being followed (possibly with Meteora's magic, though I doubt since she has none useful).

She's kind of got a boring concept when everyone else is so colourful, but I do think she's the best character on the show. At best the other characters have their one gimmick and their gap, but Red's shown a few different sides to herself while being consistent to her characterization. She's actually pretty well written, which I didn't expect for how shit everything else is.

She does get angry but she's reasonable about it and restrains herself, she's obviously not good at making decisions but her effort is obvious, she's got her issues but she's still trying to help out. If she were in a harem or a slice of life I think she'd be really popular, but she's stuck in a show where she's more down to earth character surrounded by over the top versions of regular anime stereotypes.

It is, but people will usually look and take pictures of the explosions, not cosplayers in a place that is not weird for them to be. They stayed in land for a few seconds while probably everyone was looking in the explosions above trying to understand what happened, and after people were getting close to see the last explosion they were talking and casually left.

I remember seeing the promo art and PV and thinking it wasn't going to be good. They clearly got some things right, but you could basically erase Sota and his drawing wasn't built up well enough for that scene with Senesia. The dialogue between Senesia and her author let me down too, so I'm rather disappointed in how they've handled the concept but I'm confident they'll pull something interesting out of this by the end.
It's kind of strange watching a show and just knowing the writers are entirely missing the mark. It's even worse because I thought the sound design and animation is definitely above par.
Here's hoping they do something interesting. I don't think I'll mind if at the very least they manage that.
