The first episode of the first season of Symphogear. Technically it did get topped by the first episodes of the latter seasons, but at that point you already knew the level of silliness of the show, so the very first one was special. By the moment the ED credits started rolling with the OP music I was just overwhelmed.

And then the rest of the show just had to happen, but at least we got fun characters, great designs and music out of it.

I liked Ergo proxy's opening.

Sets the theme and story with decent pacing. Makes references. Practically spoils the entire series for you if you were to catch some of the text or translate the opening text.

You right this show was very underrated by /a/. God tier show unfortunately plagued with filler and a bad villain bute. This anime didn't pander to the otaku moe lovers that /a/ has become, it was deep and put out a lot of interesting concepts that are rarely seen in anime.

She was the most "relevant" part of the show. She wasn't capable in terms of making bombs and understanding the world of terrorism, but she humanized Twelve (and Nine, I guess, if you count that scene where they're playing soccer). Bland and boring, I can understand that, but she's far from irrelevant in the end.

She was important in the first few episodes, but after the bike scene and breaking off from her mom, she really didn't matter for the rest of the show except by getting kidnapped. Her own character arc was largely over after episode four, her significant interactions after that were extremely limited, and she was basically relegated to a hanger-on klutz who could be pulled out as a plot device to give them the admittedly-great ferris wheel scene.

I think that's a fair criticism of her. The show being longer would have remedied these problems for the most part, no doubt. A story like ZnT's cannot be told in a matter of just 11 episodes. However, I still appreciate how she was an anchor for Twelve's development throughout the show.
