I know OfA is a weird quirk, but it can still affect genetics. And as I said in the previous thread, the quirks usually merge, not stack.

Meaning even if Nana's kid, for example, would've had OfA in some form (from her, not the original bloodline), it would've just shown as a supercharging element of the other quirk or as another quirk that can be passed down.

This means some super-powerful quirks in the series could just be the combination of a previous quirk and OfA.

Also, Trigger doesn't just enhance quirks, it also usually changes them somehow to be more potent. Like the guy in the spin off who just had a weak hardening quirk, and got his hardening enhanced to Kirishima/Tetsutetsu levels, gigantification and super strength. The police even comment that he should be easy to track down because quirks that complex are very rare.

This arc and the Hideout Raid arc are the only two in which the herous go against the villains directly, and the two students who have been in the two are Deku and Kirishima. I really get the feeling Hori wants to make him a main character

He's used them often in important situations, and they kind of fit him.

Imo, powers often work better when they're mysterious and unexplained, and especially not when they're directly comparable via measurement.

eg)

- the force in Star Wars, midi-chlorians were a huge fucking mistake from Lucas, turned the force from something mystical and even magical into "I HAVE HEAPS OF MIDI CHLORIANS SO IM THE CHOSEN ONE OK"

-Rc cells in Tokyo Ghoul. turned fights into whoever's Kagune had the most of them.

-Dragon Ball. we all know what power levels did to that show eventually.

-Haki in One Piece. Devil fruits were great because depending on the situation, an otherwise shit tier fruit could work perfectly against an otherwise incredibly strong fruit (Mr 3 vs Magellan, Luffy vs Enel etc). However thanks to Haki, the actual fruit has become barely even relevant except for aesthetic reasons (the visual appearance of the attack) and it's just turned into a "my haki power level is higher than yours so i win".


My point being; often when superpowers obtain units of measurement, the fights themselves turn into dick measuring contests when they were previously incredibly creative with how the various powers interacted with each other.

Obviously we have no idea what Horikoshi has planned, but i hope he's really careful with this new "Quirk Factor" development.

I think the point with alpha plus factor is just for the explanation of how quirks work. Honestly, Hori has actually kept many of the quirks surprisingly sensible, not putting out many that are like really out there without explanation. My favorite example is Bakugo's quirk, because it's the one that has been explained most thoroughly. I think Hori has about similar explanations for ALL quirks, so having the alpha plus factor there isn't really anything but an explanation of how quirkless people differ from people with quirks.

There's really no quantifying number about alpha plus factors, so I doubt it will go into powerlevels, especially when the whole series is run on the idea that life is unfair, gummy bears are not divided evenly.

Like I said, since there is no record of her existing, Overhaul is committing a crime of either kidnapping or of hiding his daughter's existence from the government and isolating her from the world, both of those are illegal.
