Reminder that oricon reports for manga sales are becoming more and more obsolete now that the physical market represents only 60% of the manga market (not including magazines, only manga volumes).

Many manga seems to be selling less with each new volume (such as Attack on Titan, One Punch man, Hero Academia, Nanatsu no Taizai,...) but this might be explained with the growth of the digital manga market. However since those data are not available we can't conclude anything and have to speculate with oricon data.

If those data represented 90% of the whole market then it would be fine to make extrapolation based on those data. With 40% missing it's much harder to make any conclusion about the popularity about a series.

And it will get worse. By 2020 I think digital manga will sell more than physical manga.
