A harem series but the MC isn't the one with the harem, rather he's the obligatory best friend in one

Instead of him being the perverted slapstick character make him a bit of a fast talking ass who usually has to be dragged kicking and screaming into what ever harem plot point is next, or just offered a petty reward which despite all logic works ever time.

Comedy would involving things like toying with the harem girls, interacting with the group of guys how figuratively and maybe literal in some cases want to strangle his best friend, and getting a different view on the usual harem shenanigans.

As the series progress there is bound to spring up conflict which would mainly arise from tension in and around the harem and the reason for the MC to get involved to try and ease it would go something like this
> "Every time shit is thrown between any number of people, I have the uncanny luck of always getting hit in the crossfire. So its better for everyone, mainly me if there is as little shit throwing as possible."

Drama if there would be any at all would be from the fact that he's not the center and whether it is completely unintentional or not from his "friends", he would be left alone on events like school festivals, firework displays, beach events, etc. But the biggest one would be ever so often a new girl would come along an in an attempt to side step the harem, attempt to use him to try and get close to the friend. Which depending on how many times this event has occured, effects to a certain degree the MC's view on what love is and whether or not he him self can actually still feel it.

>typical JRPG setting
>MC is a student in an elite magic college
>he gets sent to some no-name magic-less village as a community service/field research required for his magician degree
>on the day he arrives he witnesses some major magical battle going on
>inexplicable amount of powerful magic going all across the sky to battle some dark never-seen-before entity
>suddenly the battle is over as the evil entity vanishes and the fighters disappear off to somewhere
>MC was unable to see who the powerful magic users were
>MC now spends the whole series trying to figure out who they were and how come they were able to use magic that has never been recorded in the history of that world
>he also makes friends with some of the village girls and romcom hijinks ensue amidst all the weekly chaotic magic battles

The MC is part of a group of people who were trapped in a VRMMO for years that encouraged permadeath PvP.

As a result, the few survivors who made it out of the game had been reliant on their closely knit group and learned to be paranoid about every other group they met. All of them had spent years killing both NPCs and their fellow humans non-stop, with their "exploits" published online.

Public opinion soon turns against them as news shows run segments with the grieving families of dead players. When a journalist tries to intimidate a young female player into an interview about her human body count of 47 people, more than any single serial killer that has ever been convicted, she reacts on instinct and stabs him to death with a scalpel that she stole from the hospital, and the public outcry is tremendous. Citizens accuse the government of sheltering a group of mass murderers who were able to kill with impunity because it was "just a game", and to prevent their chances of re-election from plummeting, the girl who killed the journalist is tried very quickly and publicly, convicted of murder for all 48 people whose deaths could be ascribed to her.

The other players were shuffled back to their original homes as soon as possible, but most of them were emotionally reliant on their fellow group members and reintegrated poorly. Furthermore, even though their identities were concealed by the government, the reappearance of those people in their communities so soon after caused the rumor mill to turn against them. Those young enough to be in school were several years older than their classmates and disadvantaged by gossip causing them to be known as cold-blooded killers across the school. Older players had it even worse, as they had several years of blank spots on their work history, and couldn't answer questions by interviewers about the time period, resulting in many of them remaining unemployed, or being forced to take lower paying jobs.
>>
>>156131914
The MC does better than average, being able to rely on his best friend/old roommate who was trapped in the game with him, until his friend decides to confront what he had done, and visited the families of each of his "victims" to try and tell his side of the story or ask forgiveness.

This goes poorly, and the friend spirals into deep depression, before hanging himself as the MC left the apartment to get groceries. The MC has a mental breakdown, and after nearly wasting away in the apartment from not eating or sleeping, decided that he can't let the same thing happen to his other comrades.

The rest of the anime consists of him visiting his old friends, trying to "fix" their lives in a desperate attempt to give his own some meaning. Sometimes he succeeds, but often he makes things worse, in one case publicly outing one of them as a survivor of the death game in front of their company's CEO. After trying to help all of them, and seeing the damage that he ended up doing instead, he decides that all he has left is to apologize to the families of those he killed, and then take his own life as well. He's shouted down by families who had just begun to heal again after their loss, enraged spouses still grieving the love of their life, and in one case the young children of two parents that he killed while in the game.

At the end, before he tightens the noose around his neck, he realizes that there was once person he didn't see once more. The girl from the beginning, who was given multiple life sentences with no possibility of parole.

A harem show about Three MCs and their respective harem of girls, they become best bros over the time and discuss the experience they have between them and which girl is best girl in their respective harem and with whom they should fall in love.

The point is the girls in their harem each one has an speciality that none other has, example, one girl in the harem of MC#1 has an outstanding knowledge of language no other girl has, girl in MC#2 has detective abilities and thus would be without abilities repetition, from time to time one of the guys would need help in something and other of the guys would offer his help with one of the girls in the helping MC harem tagging along with them.

Having from time to time episodes with at least one girl doing something and having the focus, this would help in development of the characters, also would cause some discussion between the guys because seeing the girls and their talents make them change of opinion about whose girl should the MCs pick.

This would also come with episodes where the girls thing the MCs are in some BL stuff for shit an giggles.

At the end MC#1 stays with Swimming club president, MC#2 stays with Widow cake Nurse and MC#3 stays with the Yamato Nadeshiko girl.

And that's all.

>In a fantasy world in Republican Year 15 (Our 1950s) on the Eurovan Continent, the Imperial Garicellian Empire declares war on the League of Republican Eurova after the failure for peace to be obtained.
>The story tells the tale of two officers and their subordinates during the conflict known as the Imperial-Republican War...

The war in the story is split into Side-A and Side-B:

Side-A tells the story on the Western Front from the PoV of the League of Republican Eurova. The story is focused on a Regiment Commander as he militarily occupies land in the south-west part of the Imperial Garicellian Empire and a slow war of attrition begins to unfold. You learn of the daily life of the Empire subjects and the propaganda of the League of Republican Eurova along with corrupted politics it has.

Side-B tells the story on the Eastern Front from the PoV of the Imperial Garicellian Empire. The story is focused on another Regiment Commander as he get down and gritty with his Regiment with fast paced warfare and the use of scorched-earth policy against the League of Republican Eurova occurring. It's more war-action oriented and tells of the hardship of the common soldiers who gets to sent to the front instead of the Reserve/Occupation forces unlike in Side-A

The Imperial Garicellian Empire is modeled from Imperial Japan (WWI) with more Prussian influence.

The League of Republican Eurova is a federation that is modeled from the 2nd French Republic with American/British influence thrown in.

is monster horror still a thing?

An army corps is sent to help a city evacuation from a harsh incoming desert storm.
Efforts proves to be too little too late and they're now stuck wait it out. Days become weeks, and still the weather doesn't relent, while supplies are running low.

There's a creature that moves with the orange sandstorm. It's slow and has poor vision and thrives in habitats with poor visibility for other animals. It deceptively hunts by smell and noise alone, and rather consume its prey in their sleep. Survivors are faced to endure not only it and the storm, but each other and themselves.
>>
>>156133705

The point behind >>156131839 was that magic in MC's world is based around mana and all that bullshit, so things like magic colleges were built in order to research into ways of harnessing the magic the most efficiently.

And then the mystery fighters come in shooting fuckton of magic beams which go against what MC has been learning about magic for all this time, and that magic actually feels 'magical' to him.

Also the implication was that the girls that MC befriends are basically Pretty Cures using love and friendship and shit.

たわごと!私たちはカング

{shit! we were kang}

EPISODE 1:

>Laquami Dumclinton had always loved ugly Harlem with its shitty, gray concrete. It was a place where he felt faggoty.

>He was a sneaky, bitchy, grape soda drinker with fat ass and chubby tits. His friends saw him as a gentle, ruthless gang member. Once, he had even jumped into a river and saved a repulsive old lady. That's just the sort of man he was.

>Laquami walked over to the window and reflected on his shitty surroundings. The rain hammered like lifting dog.

>Then he saw something in the distance, or rather someone. It was the figure of Tyjordan Freeman. Tyjordan was a selfish retard with ugly ass and inverted tits.

>Laquami gulped. He was not prepared to fuck Tyjordan.

>As Laquami stepped outside and Tyjordan came closer, he could see the yummy glint in his eye.

>Tyjordan gazed with the affection for the brappy filthy faggot. He said, in hushed tones, "I love you and I want a gun."

>Laquami looked back, even more kangy and still fingering the grape-flavored watermelon. "Tyjordan, shieeeet nigga," he replied.

>They looked at each other with big feelings, like two crooked, crowded cat shooting at a very predatory basketball game, which had rap music playing in the background and two brutal uncles we-wuzing to the beat.

>Laquami regarded Tyjordan's ugly ass and vomit-inducing tits. "I feel the same way!" revealed Laquami with a delighted grin.

>Tyjordan looked donkey-assed, his emotions blushing like a famous, fragile fried chicken.

>Then Tyjordan came inside for a nice drink of grape soda.

All living things absorb magic as they grow, stored in the carbon that makes their bodies up. As they grow, and die, they pass down through the soil and becoming oil and other carbon deposits, these deposits continue to absorb magical energy, slowly turning into Sigil.

Sigil is the lifeblood of new world, magic empowered crude oil and coal which drives steam/dieselpunk mecha called Derricks: steam powered multi-legged arachnomotives, Iron Horses, dieselpunk wargear armour called Sidearms, etc. In order to "suit up" into the armour you need skin to metal contact through a special oil medium, and only women can use the armour, so there's lots of scenes of western cowgirls in underware/bikinis rubbing each other down with oil and squeezing into tight-fitting mecha suits.

The heart of the story, though, is a family's tale of vengeance painted against that backdrop as two sisters fight a greedy, evil land baroness to regain the rights of the land their mother, a Texas Ranger, died trying to protect.

Art direction will be handled by Satoshi Urushihara. Because who better to handle glossy, oiled up lesbians squeezing into mecha suits... except maybe Shirow.

Nadoka doesn't consider herself a tomboy, she just loves cars, especially engines; she has a half restored motor sitting on the floor in her room and often goes to sleep spotted in grease.

She ended up attending a prestigious all girls school at her parent's insistence. Despite numerous attempts she was never able to get the director to approve her mechanics club, in fact the mention of a car or maintenance related club seemed to make the director furious.

Wandering around in the old campus she hears the sound of machinery. Poking her head into an ivy covered brick building she finds an old machine shop, and another first year using some newly restored equipment on a project.

Exploring the machine room, Nadoka discovers a car under a tarp that turns out to be Studebaker Golden Hawk; heavily damaged even though it's surrounded by replacement parts. Inside the car she finds diaries written by the school director's grandfather. His wife suffered a stroke while driving the car, and died in the crash. The grandfather threw himself into repairing the car after the funeral, partly in his own grief, but partly because the car was special to him. It was the car that he wooed, dated, and eventually got married to his wife with and it was an important part of both their lives, and he wanted to share that with his granddaughter. Without realizing it, though, he alienated his granddaughter, who grew to resent him for not spending time with her anymore. She began to hate him, assuming he loved the car more than her or her grandmother. Heartbroken at this realization the grandfather abandoned restoring the car, eventually dying estranged from his granddaughter.

Nadoka refuses to see their story end like this, and soon builds a small secret club of other interested parties who begin to not only rebuild the machine shop area, but restore the Golden Hawk in order to present both to the director to show her why they all feel so passionately about cars and machines.

this is a small part of a larger narrative. ive always wanted to write a story but am too scared to start. because im a retarded loser i tend to conflate my ideas with anime plots.

>this is essentially the origin story on the origins of a god
>at one point, primordial world was experimented on by a big space thing
>big space thing wanted to do experiments on this primordial world, so it created the prototype for man kind, as well as other fauna
>colloquially called "the creations" these prototype human beings were intelligent data sponges that had a collective conscience. they could also communicate with all other forms of life, as ordained by their creator
>space being would entertain the ideas of emotion and ambition, and instilled these things into its creations
>they eventually begin to show traces of humanity, and the big space thing panicked, splitting the world into two.
>plot begins during this iteration. its urban fantasy.
>world exists in this limbo for a few millenia, and this kid is born.
>he's one of a handful of people known as "the gifted" who share connections with "the creations" and are able to see fleeting traces of the alternate world. as well as being able to communicate with animals.
>people like this are branded schizophrenic lunatics, so whenever they're found, they're incarcerated.

A high school girl transfers into a all girls school. However, this school has a unique tradition. Every year the classes are divided up into princes and princesses. The princes must wear pants and generally perform the role of boys. This is intended to prepare the students for romantic relationships later in life. Relationships between a prince and princess are encouraged, while relationships between two princes or two princesses are punished. The girl is picked to be a princess. She considers this practice crazy and backwards and makes a declaration, despite being a princess, she vows to seduce all the other princesses and destroy the system.
>>
>>156134942

from here it isnt as structured. the kid's parents know what he is immediately as he's born, so when he was old enough to understand, they told him to hide his gifts. without anyone who can really understand him, save for this one girl who was a weirdo in her own right (though not one of the gifted), he goes off into the forest to talk with the animals. he meets an ancient, (i was thinking of maybe incorporating some sort of fantasy creature like a yeti or something) and he tells him of a great fate for someone who shares his gifts.

as he grows and familiarizes himself with the world and its history, like how its cyclic and all that shit, he learns that he can serve as the link between the world and its alternate. he completes various tasks, overcomes obstacles, meets interesting characters, etc. etc. until he can assemble the reagents for him to make the world whole again, bringing the world into its third iteration, and ascending as a god to eternally fight the big space thing that means to keep humanity contained.

there's a lot of information i left out but thats the gist of it

For the former princess girl nothing has changed, but the MC doesn't like how her partner changed after adapting a prince role (which she meticiously follows because she's a top student, saying it's hard to switch between characters, she'll need a few days to completely shed the prince role which is unacceptable in the school), and they get punished for showing off anything more than friendship. MC is confused whether she does or doesn't love her anymore, but in the end love prevails and they try destroying the system.

Since the times of the court of Charlemagne, three noble families have lived in an unlikely peace and harmony, sharing a common triple frontier, sharing fields and resources, and frequent cordial dinners and hunts, despite owing allegiance to different circles.
Less than a century ago, during one of their joint hunts, the three patriarchs dissapeared for almost two moons. When they came back, alone, severely hurt and almost a decade older, they immediately declared war on eachother, each refusing to speak with anyone else until the "their blood straightens their reason".

Its now been 87 years since the incident, and three young and strong warriors are called in Munich, the current imperial seat, to finally put an end to their bout.
Chevalier Alphonse the Swift, Herr Frederik the Cruel, Sir Cedric the Pious are to battle to the death in a battle ruled only by God. And the Emperor.
On their way to the seat, they all pass through a forest, and find themselves in a clearing. Words, oaths and insults fly as the three knights ready their weapons to fight for the honor of their families. But as they charge to the center, a green light burns throught the clearing, the knights and their mounts.

Isekai, but with three actual medieval knights.
They will need to correct the actions of their grandparents, who started the Second War of Echoes that ravaged the three continents and destroyed their friendship.
As they fight for their lives in this fantasy world, Imperial troops slowly march towards their castles, being accused of treason and witchcraft, having used sorcery to escape from an imperial summoning.
They will learn a valuable lesson about camaraderie, trust and the story of their lineage, saving their honor and families. Maybe even themselves.

Cedric doesnt remove the helmet and doesnt talk most of the time. Actually a cute tomboy grill since the original Cedric died of gout years ago. Mission will fail unless they find a fitting surrogate

Small town girl running away from home takes the midnight train going anywhere.
City boy also running away from home takes the midnight train going anywhere.
They both coincidentally get on the same train, and fearing for their well-being in the future, decide to stick together in order to survive in a new city.

The city boy is the timid yet rational one. He knows the usual in and outs of cities and is always the one that leads her around, but sometimes underestimates the city's unpredictability. He tries to stay nice and negotiable, but it's difficult to do so with the shenanigans they get into, and he occasionally goes on hilariously scary rants.

The small town girl is eccentric and rowdy, and she's the one that raises their morale and keeps things optimistic. Because she's lived out in the sticks, she's also resourceful, being able to create a stable two-man tent with just cardboard boxes, plastic bags and some broken chairs. She knows nothing about the city though, and ends up causing trouble whenever left alone.

It's a romcom where, though they seem like a strange pair at first, realise that their personalities complement each other, and they slowly begin to depend on each other more. The majority of the show is them getting into various city shenanigans and dealing with them, like being homeless, pissing off the yakuza, accidental bank heists and vandalism mysteries. Of course, they end up with each other in the end.

This is the best I have seen in several threads, and that's not just because I love medieval history. It's a novel take on isekai, by changing the assumption that it's a modern person who gets transported. The backstory is also compelling, it has a clear focus, and is generally well pitched. I'd watch it. I'd produce it myself if I could.
>>
The world is an isekai fantasy world like any other but in this one the story centers upon a young man who, after being conked on the head, begins remembering a past life adventuring with the world's previous hero nearly two decades ago.

He died holding off a horde of demons for the hero at the final battle and left behind some lingering regrets. Among them were his orphaned siblings, not being able to pass on their family's sacred rituals and leaving his fiancee hanging.

Compelled to dispel these past regrets, he decides go out into the world to settle them. However, when he bids goodbye to his family he fully awakens his special ability and accidentally uses it on his twin little sisters.

As luck would have it, this ability of his allows him to pull out a person's past life memories and his lovable little sisters just happened to be there at the final battle with him too - they were the Hero and the Demon King. The former Hero also remembers the previous life before that so all three of them aren't very sure how they fit in the present, especially since it's not just the memories alone that are coming back to them.

Having little choice in the matter, the young man takes responsibility and brings the girls along with him on his journey to settle old scores, thus beginning a sibling outing that has potentially has the fate of the world hanging in the balance.

I call this one "I Just Wanted To Go On A Journey To Find Myself But Now I Have Drag My Little Sisters Along Because I Turned Them Into Archenemies!".

A teenager (arbitrary) who is very much into all things anime/manga wakes up and finds that they are trapped in one of the worlds that they have seen in their time as an Otaku. They are unable to return to their normal (IRL) form until they have completed the primary objective in every shonen that they have ever read/ watched. Every time they complete the main objective (whatever that may be) they wake up in the next one. They will always find themselves as the main character of the show at whatever the relevant beginning is. (At the beginning of training of AOT, when picked up by Misato in NGE, etc.) They also wake up each time with a piece of paper with progressively more written on it. The catch being that every time our hero dies they get to (but have to figure out that they can) write one thing (10 characters or less) on the piece of paper and they have to start their whole journey over again from the first shonen that they started with, any skills that they acquired are transferred forward.

The point of the show is to watch our protagonist slowly lose their mind as they complete one quest and immediately find themselves in the next area, see how they tolerate being in the body of different characters who other people are used to acting one way, watch them try and master faking it as the opposite gender as well as seeing how they respond to their deaths (as they learn to write about them on the paper)

Pt 1

This is more of a premises than a plot but whatever.

Cat chase club.
It's a show with a bunch of different of girls who are in a school club dedicated to catching cats for sport.

Episode format is; somewhere in the episode 5min is always in the club room, the cat to be caught is displayed along with either it's name or its alias, the club president describes the cat and it's personality along with its last known location, different members of the club comment on either the cat or how to catch it, then the president says some catch phrase like "cat chase club, catch!" or even a simple "bring it to me" then it's on.
Then it's the scramble where everyone fights each other and tries to get into an advantageous position.
Then it's the hunt where the different girls use different techniques to try and find the cat.
Then it's the chase where everyone chases the cat
And then The capture where one girl alone gets to cuddle the kitty or sometimes gets the fuck scratched out of her.

The girls are different archetypes;

the sporty girl in a tracksuit or gym bloomers who is great at the chase and throws elbows during the scramble,

The cat obsessed girl who always wears a cat ear headband and says nyaa way too much and does cat-like things but is great at expecting what the cat will do,

Creepy goth girl who keeps appearing out of random shadowed corners and who has a knack for appearing where the cat will try and hide,

Smart girl with glasses who uses tools like food, catnip, cat grass/toys and cardboard boxes to trap the cats (she has a hidden super technique called "omega-neko/ o-megane-ko" involving 5 cardboard boxes [each has the name of a different famous robot on the side in sharpie] a fuck tonne of catnip and dramatic BGM),
>>
>>156136323
Pt 2
The hunter a girl who has to be blond and probably wears a slouch hat, she's either 1/2 south African or 1/2 Australian so she speaks broken Japanese at best with a fucked up accent, she is cold and calculating but still loves cats so when she does catch one a warmer side of her can be seen.

Paedo-bait is I don't know someone else's younger sister or something and is there to be paedo-bait

The president is a machievellian schemer who isn't above doing the gendo pose, for you see her secret hidden plot is to be the 1st person to pet every single kitty in town and if anyone in the club knew about it they could beat her to that goal.

There are also some guys who are basically just back up characters who provide comic relief and the occasional romatic interlude by having crushes on the girls and getting constantly trampled by them (think the guys from Excel saga)

Example from a random episode

>Pres "Ol' one eye, a Tom cat estimated to be over 10 >years old (Cat with one eye.jpg). Has been sighted on >the docks hanging around abandoned dragondildo factory"
>loli "the docks! That's too far to run! I don't want too!"
>hunter "tch, you are weak, that's why you are without any victories"
>loli *angry loli noise*
>sporty "every time you exercise you get faster and can run further than you did before"
>pres "enough of this pointless blather "bring it to me!"
>everyone runs to the door but loli is there 1st.
> *boom!!* a giant elbow out of nowhere slams into lolis' face and she goes flying, sporty is the 1st out the door

Cat chase is on

A nihilistic and cynical otaku dies, gets blasted into another world. Not by a god/goddes, but by that world itself.

In order to evolve, every world needs a struggle between good and evil, and heroes of this world has defeated their dark lord long ago. Now it needs someone like MC to become a Dark Lord.

MC happily agrees.

The catch: he's a fucking stationary crystal that can only interact with magical fantasy world of his dreams through his minions, who are all retarded versions of anime cliche-s, and and hell-bent on being stereotypically evil. He has mind-manipulating powers though.

It's a comedy about how "evil" overlord has to conquer the world with a team of retarded anti-heroes.

Setting is a near-future world where mecha fights is a popular sport. It started off as something akind to wrestling (fixed results, storylines, etc.) and with the technological advances and interests from robotic companies and weapon manufacturers helped it become a full blown fighting sport (teams are tied to companies, like in sports racing).
MC is a fan of super robot shows and of the old wrestling-style bouts. He discovers the old man owning the local garage is actually a former mecha wrestler and manage to acquire his old busted mech.
The story is about the MCs climbing up the stairs of that sport, gradually getting better and upgrading his mech, but also clashing with the intense rivalry, corporate interests and media wich corrupts the sport side of things. He'll eventually overcome it all (after the necessary part where he gets crushed by it because he didn't learn to play the game) and restore true mecha passion thourgh HARD WORK and GUTS.
Final fight is probably some super-robot vs super high-tech real mech goodness with a healthy dose of UNDERSTANDING.

The anime is called "Trigger Nigger" (トリガーニガー [Torigānigā]), and it is about a Japanese school boy called Luther, who on his 6th birthday gets gifted a G.A.T (Gun of African Teleportation). This revolver like device contains six chambers, each chamber can hold a 'BULIT' (Black Undead Low-calibre Instantaneous Teleporter). These BULITs contain the spirits of black people throughout time and space. They may just be common ones, like Tyrone who lives in Atlanta or Bongani the Zulu. But the powerful ones that the protagonists seek are famous ones like Steve Urkel, DMX, Malcolm X, Precious, Al Jolson, Queen Latifah, Trayvon Martin, Oprah Winfrey, Tupac, Biggie, Benjamin Sisko etc.

The main arc follows Luther and his friends as Luther tries to become the ultimate Triggermeister. In this it's sort of like Pokemon, with Luther acquiring new BULITs and battling other Triggermeisters. The primary antagonist is Nathaniel Ahmed Alan Charles Paton (also known as NaAcP). His goal is to amass all the BULITs in the world, and trigger them at once, completely destroying mankind with the equivalent of a billion LA Riots all over the world. Luther and his pals will confront NaAcP frequently, as the series progresses.

The opening theme is New Slaves by Kanye West, but covered by SNSD.
The closing theme is Missing You by Sean "Puff Daddy" Combs.

I still have more characters!

Backstory:
The local tyrant's general's only childhood memory is of himself as young child who was scared, crying for help, but abandoned in the chaos by his fellow Maximals. He has no memory of what happened next, but soon after, he was in a powerful Transmetal 2 body, in the wasteland, and being looked after by local tyrant.

He grew up hating the Maximals, and happily helped the local tyrant take control of the town by driving many out. He was put in charge of keeping the town under their control.

Show:
The young general was gruff, bitter, and emotionally repressed, isolated in his command office, but effective. Then the local tyrant brought him a lieutenant and ruined everything. The general was insulted by the idea that he needed help and doubly insulted by the lieutenant being a worthless girl who was too cheerful and wouldn't shut up.

Despite how cold he was to her, she never lost her energy, and never stopped liking him. Eventually, he found himself starting to like her, and it made him so angry and uncomfortable that his job performance fell, which only made her more supportive, which only made things worse.

He was in a death spiral and desperate. He surprises her by inviting her out on a walk. He leads her into the woods meaning to kill her, but he can't. He gets caught in a trap. She says she'll never leave him and frees him. He accepts that he's in love with her.

He can't do his job anymore. The Maximals start winning battles, so the local tyrant fires him. True to her word, his lieutenant prepares to resign with him, but then she meets his replacement, instantly falls in love, and changes her mind.

With nothing, he wanders aimlessly into the woods, where he meets the Maximals. His new life purpose becomes to destroy the local tyrant's empire. Without his lieutenant to distract him, his ability as a general returns and he becomes a key cog in the machine that takes down the local tyrant's empire.

An episodic SoL about a young man who's the conductor of a train, and the sole person on board. Not much is said about the setting he lives in other than it's fictional, and it's not quite modern though it's not quite fantasy either. A quarter of each episode is introspective, while the rest chronicles him stopping at various stations and meeting and talking to locals in the surrounding towns, and then moving on to the next town on the seemingly endless railway.
A common theme that ties all episodes together is love, as each episode features one local woman from each town that falls for him for different reasons, and he always leaves them behind at the end of each episode because their reasons for loving him are hollow and not true.
It ends with him finally finding a woman who truly loves him for the right reasons and they take off into the sunset on his train for more adventures.

Let's do another one.

Backstory:
The lieutenant was born with an illness and was as good as dead until she was saved by a novel procedure that turned her into fuzor: half bug, half lizard. She grew up in the town that was taken over by the local tyrant.

Show:
She struggled at school. She was over-age, dumb, and bullied for her looks. But, since she was a bug, the local tyrant wanted to help her. He arranged to pull her out of school and educate her at city hall. On her last day, her class threw a going away party. Part of it included sport, where the lieutenant unbelievably led her team to victory.

Impressed, the local tyrant made her an apprentice to his general under the title of lieutenant. The general was not a bug, so the local tyrant wanted to replace him and hoped that she would show enough ability to do so.

She was grateful to be out of school and determined to be positive and make the best of her new opportunity. She liked the general right away, because he was a Transmetal 2, weird looking, just like her, so she wanted to be his friend.

Although the general was cold and never let her do any work, she was loyal and never wavered, and as he warmed, she was ecstatic. When he was fired, she cheered him up by promising to leave with him. Then the local tyrant brought his replacement into the office.

He was a bug fuzor, just like her. While that meant nothing. There was something else mysterious about him that made her fall in love instantly, and she decided to stay.

The replacement had no interest in doing any work, happily let her take control, and was even happier when it turned out she was incredible at it.

The Maximals went back to losing bad. She was about to crush them in the final battle until the metallic maximal showed up and reunited the spirit and the Decepticon prodigy.

The general let her and the replacement avoid capture.

In a typical Dragon Quest-clone tier fantasy world, the MC is a coward and the medieval, fantasy version of a NEET, but he's also a scumbag. After realizing he shares the same first name, and a very similar surname with the world's obligatory living legendary hero, he takes it upon himself to travel around the world pretending to be the hero so he gets free shit and glory for literally doing nothing. It goes well for a few weeks, but then people start coming to him requesting things of him. The MC shuts himself in his shitty stone house, fearing that half of these requests would relate to something fearsome like slaying dragons, or destroying evil societies, but he's quick to find out that most of these people requesting him to do things just want him to do menial tasks like saving kittens from trees or diving into rivers to retrieve lost articles.
Using the legendary hero's name, he starts doing minor tasks all around the countryside, and the praise from helping people starts to turn him into a good person.
Things take a turn though when he meets a tsundere warrior girl who is inspiring to be a hero, who absolutely idolizes the legendary hero. After obsessing over the MC, she starts to slowly catch on that the MC's a cowardly fraud, but they both get dragged into a big, world-shattering conspiracy after enemies of the legendary hero mistake the MC as the real deal.

It would be dark, brooding and violent, the mute, telepathic man constantly reflecting on his choices, seeing all the damage he causes and the carnage he leaves in his wake, while the young, naive priestess struggles to maintain her faith in the presence of all this horror. They have exactly one year to fulfill the contract, or they both die. It would slowly be revealed he was a general in the nation's army, tasked with building forts in the mountains and finding a way through them, to access easier trade routes with the neighboring lands. He found them, but his subordinates took advantage, branded him a traitor, and murder him to seize all he'd managed to accomplish.

Reposting:

An Alternate Universe UC era Mobile Suit Gundam.

Basically it takes place after the end of Mobile Suit Gundam so the history and lore is pretty much the same save for one major difference: Zeon won the One Year War.

Basically the premise is that before the Battle of A Baoa Qu, Gihren Zabi anticipated that Kycilia would try to avenge Degwin so he killed her and covered up her death as a war casualty. This boosts Zeon's morale in wanting to avenge Kycilia and Degwin, and Zeon wins the Battle of A Baoa Qu and eventually forces the Earth Federation to surrender.

What we see is basically Mobile Suit Gundam meets The Man in the High Castle where former EFSF soldiers lead by Bright Noa are plotting to overthrow Gihren, who controls both Earth and the Sides as a ruthless dictator.

Bright establishes a pact with Anaheim Electronics to utilize two prototype Gundams in the fight against Zeon. Amuro returns as the main protagonist and is forced to fight alongside Io Fleming from Gundam Thunderbolt. The two don't get along at all, but are forced to work together in the fight against Zeon.

Meanwhile, Char is promoted to General of Zeon's army for his heroism at A Baoa Qu, yet is secretly plotting a coup de tat against Gihren to get his revenge on him and reclaim his rightful place as Zeon Zum Deikun's heir.

Sayla returns as Amuro's love interest. Other characters return like Kai Shiden, Mirai Yashima, Hayato, Frau, Kamille, Four Murasame, Judeau, Puru, Kou Uraki, Haman Karn, Shiro Amada and Daryl Lorenz.

"Please, for the love of God, just let me marry a cute monster girl"

After bingewatching almost 3 weeks of isekai and monmusu of dubious quality and living on a strict diet of chips and soda, MC becomes loses his mind, and realizes that afterlife and Heaven is just the perfect isekai.
When he collapses on his way to the store the next day and he is told that his diet has fucked him up beyond recovery and that he has 3 months to live, he couldnt be happier. Finally.
Unable to love or care for anyone or anything that isnt [unstated preferred monster grill], he retires to the mountains to train, to be useful when he reincarnates. When the time comes, he is a true /fit/ man, and trained in a dozen medieval weapons. He is ready.

But when he meets the huge laughing bronze monkey that guards the Gates of Life, the rules are slightly different from what he remembers. He doesnt choose the realm of destination at all, and he will continue to reincanate in the same realm until he fulfills his profecy. Sure, fair enough, put me in my isekai already.

When he awakens in a pristine hospital bed in a Tokyo 2177 cyberpunk dystopia, he realizes all his mistakes at once. He will have to cycle through *all* the alternate universes until he lands on the isekai he wants.

Format is simple. MC arrives at another really cool setting, ignores every trope and cliche of the genre and tries to "speedrun" is life objective. Obviously fails, learns something useful about life, the universe, or some sort of skill, and eventually fulfills his purpose and dies heroically, hoping to meet his waifu this time.
But no, next up is Dune. And next gundam. And never a single monster girl in sight.

Mesopotamian Love Story

The MC has his life together: a job, a girlfriend, and two best friends despite him being a spineless coward. The catch to all of this is:
-One of the MC's best friend is a bachelor who sleeps with a different woman every night.
-The other best friend is a trap who promotes purity in 2d waifus and otaku.
-MC's girlfriend is an alpha bitch who pushes him around while he works hard, and she wants him to marry her and settle down (Even though he is indecisive about what to do).
-The job in which he works has a bunch of bosses who are kind of asses and put stress on him to complete his work and do OT without pay.
-MC also has a female co-worker of his who is his junior and who acts shy around him and he has to pick up her work.

On the way home from drinking with his two best friends, the MC gets hit by a bus and awakens in a Mesopotamian land found and healed by a goddess named Ishtar.

In order to return to his home, the MC must now begin a journey with Ishtar that takes him from the surface down to the gates of the underworld confronting mystical beasts, different trials of heart and will, and a manipulative goddess who wishes to have the MC under her control/ is yandere. Along the way the MC befriends and encounters other figures in Mesopotamian legend like: Gilgamesh, Enkidu, and etc who offer him words of advice.

In the end, after his long journey to find a way home. The MC decides not to return home and stay in the fantasy land with Ishtar and his buddies.

It's revealed in the epilogue that the entire journey the MC went through was from his imagination, created from the stress his life was giving him and that the characters: Gilgamesh/Enkidu was his two friends, Ishtar was his shy co-worker who found him passed out in the middle of the street, the Yandere Goddess was his alpha bitch girlfriend, and the mystical beasts he fought was his bosses which resulted in him acquiring a better life in the real world than the one he had.

If it helps, fuzors in my story have super enhanced traits.

Silverbolt -> Chivalry
QuickStrike -> Boobery
Liutenant -> Strategy/Command
Replacement -> Attractiveness

So, the girl betrays him because she kinda gets put under a spell. She doesn't fall in love with him naturally, BUT I don't have an endgame for this enhanced trait stuff, meaning they only exist to let me do asspulls (like have a cute girl as a general), so I guess they suck.

I am super open to rewrites, but I haven't had any good ideas yet. If you have some, I'd love to hear them.

Yes, you can describe everything with two lines, even less.
El Quixote: Dude reads a lot and thinks hes a knight
Of Mice and Men: A retard and his friend try to make his name. Things go wrong.
All episodes of naruto: ninjas with magic yo
All episodes of one piece: pirates with magic yo
Cowboy Bebop: a man and his troop hunt bounties. also jazz.

We could sum any piece of literature in 30 words tops. But explaining more and letting the people know the characters, how the episode is going to go, the story of the first 3 or 4 episodes and the endgame is better.
You probably cant write for shit and only have a general idea that you cant develop, and want everyone else to sink to your level so your 2 line prompt for a shitty rezero clone gets norticed. Seek professional help.

MC is a salaryman otaku
One day while broswing the internet a malware gets downloaded on his computer.
it's a 2 gb visual novel which he is unable to remove or modify in anyone.
He starts playing the visual novel, and he slowly discovers that the visual novel is a reflection of his own life. So he can basically predict the future upto a certain point in the visual novel, because it crashes everytime a "day" in the novel is completed.

A fantasy SOL/drama. It can be a yaoi or a yuri series. For now, it'll be lesbos.

>Story begins in a desert/oasis kingdom

>Given one last task- Deliver an important tome to the university's sister branch, many realms away
>Before the Mage Student departs, she decides to return some books to the library so she get any late fees

>Now, MC has to chase the tome down across the land before it winds up in the wrong hands!

>The magic scholar decides that she needs a body guard

>The mage gets to meet a role model of hers. A busty witch.
>The mercenary gets extremely jealous over her girlfriend fawning over this other woman, but decides to hide it because she's trying to be "mature"
>The night before turning the tome in and completing their duty, the mercenary convinces the mage to go wild drinking

>After a night of debauchery, the two wake up to find the tome missing... AGAIN.
>Caught up in the moment of losing her chance at graduation A SECOND TIME, the mage blames it all on the mercenary.
>Calls her an alcoholic good-for-nothing.
>The Mercenary fires back with her own pent-up feelings about the mage "flirting" with her role-model.
>The two part ways angrily.
>The Mercenary finds out the busty witch role-model was the one who stole the tome while the two were passed out
>The mercenary decides to confront her herself. Gets wiped.
>Mage comes to the rescue. Yells at her for going in on her own. Their love is rekindled, and they take down the witch together, etc.

Pussy.

A boy falls in love with a girl.

Unable to confess, he is shocked when the girl is suddenly punched into a door by a stranger. But before he can be punched as well, he is saved by a skateboarding loli who calls him Daddy. It turns out she's his daughter from the future who's there to help him get together with her mother so that she'd be born. However, since the mother is lying on the floor as a door, the two wonder what to do, when they are suddenly recruited by an agency called Supernatural, Paranormal, and Extraterrestrial Countermeasure Agency (shortened as SPECA).

The agency, comprised of Christmas Cakes that can adapt and adjust to magic or ESP, is investigating the sudden increase of doors in the world, and has narrowed the cause down to a murder club that makes doors by punching people so hard they turn into a door. Each day, a person is turned into a door by them every 0.56 seconds.

The future daughter is initiated into the Yuri Cake harem, but the boy, not wanting to cause an uproar among the Agency female operatives, joins only as a Top-Secret Operative. His assignment is also entirely different; he is given a V.S.L.D (Virtual Sky Lantern Device). This device contains six chambers, each chamber can hold a 'LANTERN'. These LANTERNS contain energized prayers that can obliterate targets when shot.

Unfortunately, the director's daughter, Takumie Sudo, knows of the boy. She fell in love with the boy long time ago, but unable to confess, she becomes an Androgyny Dyke, and she is all out to destroy whatever relationships the boy has with his daughter.

The boy, his daughter, and Takumie now have to work together unwillingly to stop the leader of the murder club from turning more people into doors. But WHY is he doing all this? That's right, the bastard wants WORLD PEACE!!

I think I'll call it 'Kono KEIotikku Monogatari wa TAIhen na Mono Desuyone'(This CHAOTIC Story is a Big Fucking Mess), short form 'KEITAI'.

The romance angle feels overly constraining compared to core premises of other traveler-type series. Consider Mushishi. Even though every episode was obligated to be about one mushi or another, it told a variety of stories within that framework. Here, you'd have less flexibility and would be much more predictable/repetitive.

>>156143948
Is she acute angle?

>>156145185
Interesting. Redemption through sidequests. That's a novel hook, and I would watch it.

>>156145878
This is one of the strongest I've seen in these threads. It has an MC and supporting character with personalities, motives, and conflicts. It has clear antagonists. It has a definite goal and a definite end. I can already imagine how the story unfolds. Strong pitch and concept. I would watch this, and would love to work on it as a project.

>>156146195
Simple and humorous, with an arc as well. I'd watch it.

>>156146383
"It was all in his head" is a bit played out.

>>156146416
This is excessively reductive, but brevity is a virtue in pitches.
>>
>>156147436
In threads like this, there's definitely merit to explaining a bit more, since the projects will never actually see the light of day. But in an actual entertainment industry, you typically don't have the luxury of unlimited time or space in which to expound your ideas. There's certainly not enough room for a lot of the extraneous details people are prone to include.

Consider >>156147437. You could also write:

"A salaryman otaku gets a computer virus in the form of a visual novel. He discovers that the VN reflects his own life, letting him predict his future one day at a time."

Shorter, more to the point.

Or >>156147626:

"As an interstellar trucker, MC goes through years or even decades of cryosleep on a regular basis, which has left him displaced in time. This story is about his encounters with other time-displaced voyagers, the effects of his journeys on his own life, and the meaning of time itself."

Then once you have the reader's attention, you can get to the detailwork and episode outlines.

By the way, that was a good premise. I'd watch it.

>>156147673
I think Steven King wrote this.

>>156149698
Humorous and interesting. The "gruff dad and symbol-of-innocence daughter adventure" is a very popular motif right now, so this has a market. I'd watch it.

Alright, here's half of your manuscript. You're doing well. Your main weak points seem to be subject-verb agreement and formatting dialogue. These are common issues for native English speakers as well, so don't be discouraged. If you want more practice, I recommend picking a book in English with lots of dialogue and retyping it. It's easier to learn and remember the correct conventions by doing than by reading.

"Well, since this city can remember, Eden has always been there. Bloody fast, cunning, fucking cruel, with a thing for small stabbing weapons and a laugh that could freeze a pound of borane. It just goes on a rampage until someone manages to hit the fucker with a cane or gets a lucky shot on him. We've tried a lot of things. We've burned him, we've put his corpse on a cage up at the Corse Bridge. We managed to put the guy in jail once, a long time ago. Wasn't prertty, im told.
Here's the problem: he comes back. Each time with a different body. Some say its some sort of disease. Or a ghost. Or even just normal people that go insane. Its terrifying, really. One morning you read the paper and see that your postlady just jumped three stories and gutted a family of seven. Men, women, old and young, doesnt seem to matter. Hell, four years ago it was a lass, 9 at most. Would you shoot that? I wouldnt. I think the scaries thing is how the next one could be me. Chills my blood, i tell you."

A young inspector manages to catch the last Eden, and is greeted by his dying sister, covered in someone else's blood. Swearing vengeance on whatever is moving the timeless serial killer, he chases the next Eden, eventually killing him. "YOU ANNOY ME", were his last words.
Each group of episodes are a cat and mouse game between the killer and the inspector, as the first tries to kill the only man that has ever been a serious threat to him, and the inspector tries his best to stay alive and discover the secrets of Eden while trying to save any innocents he can.

The case is complete from the start, all the clues are there. You as a viewer can solve the case before the MC if you are smart enough, like a good detective novel.

Our protagonist, a content and carefree dude, learns that paranormal things are true the hard way as he gets possessed by a Demon.
During the incident however something unprecedented happens: protagonist's and demon's souls fuse together. Our protagonist now has superpowers and has inherited some of the (evil) personality traits of the demon.

Thus here begins the adventure (modern world) of our villain. He travels to a war-torn country and allies himself with the terrorist faction that was just about to be wiped out, simply because he wants a challenge.
The world soon discovers his existence and his supernatural strength as he starts conquering entire regions, causing almost every country to join the UN expedition to depose him.

As the heroes of the world mobilize against the half-Demon, some of them get to like his fun (human) nature and are reluctant to fight, while others are so disgusted by his evil (demon) nature that will even resort to war crimes. Angels are itchy to intervene against him and Demons want to help him, but both leaderships do not want to break their neutrality pact. The story unfolds itself as our protagonist starts losing at all fronts, causing him to start using some really dangerous spells...

"How does she even run like that in a dress?"

MC is your usual codemonkey salaryman, spending all his days staring at a computer screen and his nights staring at lines of printed code, hoping to land that promotion someday.
That is, until a girl lands flying in through the window of his living room. breaking his coffee table and spilling blood all over the carpet.
As it turns out, very powerful groups, people and companies need a safe way to share their information. The people that satisfy this need form what they call The Game, a numberless spider net of criminals, traitors and street urchins mixed with high-end security specialists, trained mercenaries and master thieves, all ready to provide their services to their fellow Players and to betray them for a higher bidder or a better share of secrets that would allow them to advance further in the spiderweb.

This particular girl happens to be a veteran courier on her way to a particularly important delivery, and asks MC to finish her job until she recovers. Due to his naivete and lack of proper training, he ends up delivering the package to the wrong side of the trade, and he and the veteran courier set out to recover information that could potentially end reshaping the future of Japan.
Sararyman gets sucked into an underground network of treason, gunfights, breakneck parkour, high speed chases going from smoke-filled dockside destilleries to pristine government offices, and getting constantly rejected by the Courier, unveling worldwive conspiracies along the way.

Its like Black Lagoon and Mirror's Edge had a kid and they force feeded him old James Bond movies.

Write it anyway. It's not like they'll be exactly the same.
Plus, you'll get better at writing if you practice and do it more often.
>>
>>156163736
I always get stuck at really little things that somehow bug me enough to put me off writing for days.

Like this: do I use Japanese names and honorifics for my characters?
>>
>>156153354
>Also, if they all live in cities, where does the food come from?
The idea I had was that they have a big, walled in section of farmland, but because the space is limited, it can only sustain a certain population size.
>>
>>156163771
Are they in Japan or in a nation inspired by Japanese traditions? Then, yes.
If not, no.
Even for fantasy, most of it seems to stem from a medieval or western vibe, so in those cases, honorifics seem really out of place.

Like, for example, the translation of Pandora Hearts. It's clearly set in a fantasy world inspired by France, but the translators insisted on keeping the honorifics, even though the characters, and their names, were not Japanese. It creates a weird feeling of dissonance.

So, I guess, it depends on where you want your characters to be from.

As a tsukkomi, she seems somewhat alright, but if the joke is that she's just nannying the harem the joke will get stale very, very fast. Add another facet to her personality maybe, or keep developing the harem and MC so that the nannying premise has a purpose in the end.

PART 1
>the setting is seedy and strange vast cyberpunk city with different thematic elements to each district in the city (fishing town, downtown etc.)
>obligatory highschool student that attracts bad luck wanders into somewhere he shouldn't have and along with several other people through different circumstances he gets given a unique power
>his power is to create a gel like substance that he can move and harden at will, he also gain the ability to change the texture and appearance of the surface of the gel like an illusion
>The reason he and other people where given unique powers were to find artifacts for the malevolent being that gave them powers
>also people that were 'cursed' are split into groups and in these groups the 'cursed' must compete with one another to be the first to find and retrieve the artifacts or else they 'disappear' from the world (yes disappear to make things scarier)
>along the way the protagonist meets other users of the strange powers and befriends them to help him find artifacts and research the malevolent being
>in short protag has to attend highschool, research the malenvolent being, find the artifacts, find other 'cursed' and avoid being found by people in his group .All within a time limit.
This part is mainly for exploration of the setting and building character relationships

different anon but usually if I end up thinking of a name, it almost always ends up being for a stupid ass reason.

For instance one series idea a thought of the MC's nickname/name everyone calls him by is "Toyo" (real name I haven't thought of) and the only reason for this is to some how shoe horn this not even funny exchange in some how:

> New Character: "I'm going to call you tire kun."
> Toyo: "Why? What?. How the hell do you come up with tire-. Oh, I see."
> Toyo: [brief pause] "I already hate you."

so yeah the first is mainly the protagonist and his buddies just exploring the city and interacting with it's inhabitants if i didnt get that across

PART 2
>suddenly as the group of 'cursed' are weened off, the protagonist and all of his user buddies and still living major characters are put in a group to find one last artifact
>only issue is only one guy will survive and that creates conflict between the group at the beginning of part 2
>however a breakthrough is made and a possible location of the malevolent being is found
>also as is revealed through progression of setting in part 1 and part 2 a stray seed was cursed and thrown outside of the city
> this seed seemingly has an immense power to constantly grow and forms a vast jungle that threatens to overcome the city making travel outside it impossible (this is VERY important)
so back to the cast
>The group decides, instead of finding the artifact they attempt to find and destroy this malevolent being
>there's one problem
>they have to escape the city
>this is a nearly impossible feat, not only considering how the city is designed to prevent people from leaving, but also the jungle makes things x4 as harder
This part revolves around the group using EVERY connection, discovery, and power they made along the way to perform the nearly impossible feat of escaping the city

Haven't really fleshed this out all that much, but here goes my pitch (I was thinking of this as a Western cartoon with anime influences like Avatar, but it would work nicely as an anime).

Backstory/Setting:
>50 years from now, after dealing with a war against North Korea and an uprising and revolution in China, Russia, Japan, and China have become very close allies as Russia strays further from the European Union
>By then, the technology is available to start colonizing Earth-like planets in other solar systems
>Russia, China, and Japan work together to create the first colony on an exoplanet, the Federation of Lyra
>A couple decades later, a culture starts to emerge; the population is 5 million and contains people of predominantly East Asian or Eastern European descent
>The nation is run by a parliament and prime minister, like many European and Asian countries
>However, the national police (who, due to a lack of surrounding nations, also function as the military) also hold much political power
>This police has lots of technology and a structured hierarchy; it basically functions as a separate law-enforcing entity

Story coming in Part 2

Look at this guy's horribly convoluted backstory just so I can make my plot work, but it's a work in progress.

Backstory:
The boogeyman was a scientist and a father. Then, at the community picnic, his daughter walked into the woods and never came back. News of her disappearance reached the capital. Since he was a bug, the local tyrant flew in to offer his and the Tripredacus Company's help.

The boogeyman has an episode where he sees his daughter calling him into the woods. He follows her, but doesn't find her. He runs into a spirit, a ball of light, who starts a conversation with him. After mentioning his daughter, the spirit starts laughing gleefully and disappears.

The boogeyman thinks he's going crazy and can't live there anymore, so he takes a cushy job with the Tripredacus Company and moves with his wife to the capital.

He stays depressed, and the local tyrant tries to help by giving him more meaningful work. He goes behind the Council's back to let the boogeyman study a glowing ancient artifact, the Transmetal Driver. This ends in a horrible accident where the boogeyman wakes up as a Transmetal 2 at Tripredacus HQ. The local tyrant tells him that the Seekers may have just unknowingly discovered an ancient text that can cure him.

But the boogeyman has no interest in a cure. The accident drove him mad. He forgot about his daughter and only wanted to master the Transmetal technology. In the dead of night, he broke out of Tripredacus HQ and went to retrieve the text, which was on display at a Seeker gallery.

At the gallery, one Seeker stood in his way, but the boogeyman killed him with his Transmetal 2 power. He picked up the text and then heard a little girl calling for her father. He turned to find a little Seeker. He raised his weapon to kill her, but hesitated. He was blindsided by her pet. She got away, the pet got away, and then the boogeyman just left with his items...

Story:

>Ken Sato, a young man (18-20) of Japanese descent living in the Federation of Lyra, has always hoped to be a member of the National Police
>He has always been a good man. When he was young, he'd stand up for those he felt were being attacked or victimized. Others around him saw him as a man of good principle, and he was highly speculated to be a member of the National Police
>After passing the exam to get in, Ken is assigned his unit and a partner to show him the ropes and work together with him
>This partner is a young woman of Russian descent simply called "Ana" or "Ana X."
>Ana is slightly older than Ken (about 27) and has bright red hair
>She is extremely serious, focused on her job and duty, incredibly reserved, and generally comes off to Ken as too uptight
>Ken thinks she might be hiding an emotional or artistic personality underneath this, but after some time he finds out that she really just as dull on the inside as she is on the outside
>Despite this, Ken feels an attraction to her and hopes to make her open up, but fails miserably most of the time
>After proving himself to Ana and the organization in his first few assignments, Ken receives a special uniform
>All members of the National Police have high-tech uniforms which grant the wearer special abilities
>For example, Ana's uniform, which consists of a stylish long coat and matching hat of the National Police, grants her absolute bulletproof-ness
>Ken's uniform powers his leg muscles at critical times, giving him basically super-speed
>As the story progresses, Ken makes friends with the others in his unit and, along with Ana, ascends the ranks of the National Police

Story will continue in part 3

Title: "Senpai wa Punk Ass Bitch"

A generic after-school tea-and-cake-tasting club is in reality just a front for a hardcore organized crime syndicate. All of the members act like Japanese schoolgirl stereotypes (tsundere/kudere/genki girl/etc.) when in reality they are all hardened criminals who will blow each other's brains out at the slightest provocation.

The kind of suggestive feminine bickering that's so common in SoL's usually devolves into suicidally macho confrontations where they pull out guns and start calling each other niggers. The point in most shows where one girl gets flustered and goes "wha-what are you saying?" here usually becomes "what the fuck did you just say about me you little bitch?"

Most of the jokes are in this vein: gangster-rap subversions of moe stereotypes
> Obligatory opening-credit shot of the MCs all happily running together in a field zooms out to show they're running from cops.
> Opening scene: Girl running to school with toast in her mouth is immediately killed in drive-by shooting.
> Tsundere's suspiciously specific denials have nothing to do with love: "I-It's not like I shanked Ayana because I wanted to steal her sneakers or anything... baka!"
> One girl attack-hugs another girl so hard that they both fall to the ground, at which point the glomp-er slams glomp-ee's head into the concrete, yells 'STOP RESISTING' and arrests her. Glompee professes she dindu nuthin as she is thrown screaming and swearing into the back of a squad car.

Episodes consist of main characters trying to run their business without killing each other. Other challenges include surviving a gang war with a rival syndicate: (a mafia run by a Don Corleone-esque loli godfather, operating under the guise of the "Trash-Collection Club") and evading detection by the student council (operating here as the police department: the president fronts as a genki girl, and then whips out a flask and starts barking orders in an Irish accent).

It became that time of the universe/existence where the countless Gods come together and pick out several individuals to become Gods themselves, apparently this is how they reproduce.

The story begins when the is saved at the last second of getting killed by a gang. Being chosen to become a God, he's task with building his own universe from nothing. Starting out with looking for companions to assist him with the job, picking of peculiar characters along the way.

The idea is suppose to be some comfy slice-of-life world building story.

PART 1 OF 2:

>starts with a flash back to a high school nature appreciation club hanging out in a forest clearing
>focus on three members: a 1st year (kohai), a 2nd year (mc), and a 3rd year student (senpai)
>kohai is a bright genki dude who loves insects
>mc is a calm, relaxed guy who prefers plants and flowers
>senpai is a tomboy who likes nature because it's a place away from the real world where she can just have fun with friends
>now back to the present, 7 years later
>mc has a well paying job but hates how his higher ups keep egging him on to work harder and harder and he thinks of quitting
>on the walk home from work he's approached by a disheveled figure who reeks of alcohol and asks him for change
>mc makes his face out in the dark: it's kohai!
>kohai was 2genki4school and dropped out of college. he couldn't hold down a job either and is basically a bum now who spends his meager allowance from his parents on booze
>they get talking about the nature club they were once in together, and mc is reminded of how much he likes nature while kohai remembered how genki he used to be before

>she's looking at the flowers with a nostalgic look so mc asks if she likes flowers
>she talks about being in a nature club in high school and mc realises it's senpai who now looks very feminine (but still retains some tomboyish personality traits)
>senpai becomes a regular at the shop and mc realises she hangs around the shop a lot because she's escaping the real world again
>they all work together at helping senpai deal with her problems while mc and senpai start a romance thing
>kohai, who basically lives for mc and the flower shop, starts feeling like a third wheel and as the mc-senpai romance becomes more serious kohai becomes less genki
>when mc proposes to senpai (she says yes), he goes looking to tell kohai but he's gone
>mc finally finds kohai hunched over on a tree stump in the forest clearing they all used to hang out in back in high school
>mc is relieved and jokingly asks if kohai found an interesting bug.
>when kohai doesn't respond mc shakes his shoulder and kohai falls over revealing an empty bottle of whiskey in his hand, there's two more next to the stump
>mc is saddened that in the pursuit of senpai he didn't notice the mental degradation of his best friend who drank himself to death
>series ends with mc renaming the flower shop after kohai and he now runs it with senpai

I feel like kohai dieing should teach mc some kind of lesson or whatever but my creative juices ran out

Part 3:
>Early on in the story, Ken is introduced to Orpheus, a criminal organization committing random acts of terror such as arson and grand theft
>Surprisingly, however, Orpheus never kills anyone
>Meanwhile, Ken gets more suspicious of who Ana really is
>The National Police tell him that Ana was found as an orphan and raised by them, but he doesn't buy it; he feels that Ana is still way too mysterious to just be an orphan
>During a critical operation against Orpheus late in the first season, Ken is captured by Orpheus agents and brought to their headquarters
>There, Ken meets Orpheus' head, a man of Russian descent named Abram Petrov
>Abram knows of Ken's connection to Ana
>Thus, he reveals to Ken that Ana is, in fact, his daughter, and that her real name is Anastasia Petrov
>Ana joined the National Police five years before the story, but was killed on her first mission
>Abram, who had some money and influence, made a deal with the National Police to bring Ana back through cloning
>What they didn't tell Abram was that Ana would have most of her memories, personality, and emotions wiped
>Ana was part of their project which ultimately hoped to kill all of the nation and replace them with subservient clones, thus bringing about true order
>Abram went into hiding and started Orpheus; his wife, Adela, became ridden with grief and committed suicide shortly after
>Abram this tasks Ken, who now sees the evil behind the National Police, to capture Ana and bring her back to him
>Ken succeeds, and Ana's memories of her father are reawakened
>Abram then restores Ana's personality to how it was before she died (he had saved it through technology)
>The first season ends with Ken and Ana now both working for Orpheus, ready to fight back against the National Police's plots

Well for him creating life comes later in the story. The first part mostly focuses on him picking out people, their backstories, and at the end of each arc is a battle against a monster that's simply trying to prevent him from taking the new character with him.

Some additional stuff (largely just fun notes):

>If you want to get a good idea of the kind of character Ana is, I like to think of her as a weird combination of Rei Ayanami and Jotaro Kujo
>Doesn't help that the outfit I envision her in is heavily inspired by Jotaro's look (hat w/ National Police logo, longcoat w/ shirt and vest underneath, along w/ miniskirt and tights)
>Her real name, Anastasia, is the female form of Anastasius, meaning "resurrected", which hints at the fact that she's actually a clone of her original self
>In addition, I chose the name Abram for her father and the head of Orpheus because it means something along the lines of "father" (Abraham means "father of nations")

>The whole vibe of the series would be sort of retro, like all those 90s-inspired "aesthetic" pictures hanging out everywhere on the Web
>Would have a funk and early electronic inspired soundtrack

>culture-wise, the show would be a weird meeting of Eastern European and Eastern Asian cultures, so you'd see Eastern Orthodox cathedrals near Shinto-style temples, tracksuit-wearing gopniks and Japanese schoolkids hanging out, etc.

>unfortunately, they build flying cities, which pisses off the angels, who seize them and genocide the dwarves until they can only survive underneath mountains
>all their technology is lost, except for the sky cities, which the angels now occupy
>meanwhile, the elves summon some goblins from another world to be their slaves, which continues for a few hundred years before the gobs rebel and escape
>due to the end of the golden age and loss of technology, the undead form a gigantic empire that spreads across the world, ruling over all races
>during this time, the imps summon humans from another world to be slaves. Just like the gobs, the humans revolt and escape
>eventually the undead empire collapses and the undead are driven from the mainland to the north and south poles
>age of war, humans and imps have massive crusades against each other
>wars continue, but the angels, safe in their sky cities, start loaning money, and eventually become a global hegemony due to everyone owing them money
>no technological development due to debt
>the undead begin to return to the mainland
>the angels aren't happy about it.

This back story is about to get even CRAZIER.

Backstory cont'd:
...or so he thought. He lost the Transmetal Driver in the scuffle with the pet. It ended up in Seeker hands, who put it on display in a small medical center.

The boogeyman met up with the local tyrant. The local tyrant knew that the Council would hold him responsible for the diplomatically costly murder and wanted to disappear. The boogeyman wanted to retrieve the Driver and disappear to study it and the ancient text undisturbed.

The ancient text included sections on organic cloning, so they enacted the following plan: they formed a small militia of disaffected beast-formers who would storm the medical center, overtake security, and allow them to retrieve the driver and test subjects.

The young special agent was one of the recruits, but ultimately he dropped out. The raid was a success. The militia encountered unexpected resistance from a group of warriors who were at the med center that day, but slayed them. While the militia fought security, the boogeyman snuck in, took the Transmetal Driver, fled. Although, one of the warriors caught a glimpse of him.

The local tyrant and the boogeyman abandoned their militia and fled to the wasteland. There, the boogeyman eagerly read the scientific discoveries of one BW Megatron, who had mastered far more than Transmetal technology, like organic cloning, fuzor technology, and perhaps reviving the dead.

To practice the technology, he began experimenting on children from the medical center. He created the general and his lieutenant.

FINALLY, we're done with his backstory. On to the show.

But for fuck's sake, don't use honorifics if you're writing in English.

Ah, makes sense. Good point for conflict too, if you wanted.

This meanders a bit without much driving force behind it. It sounds a little like Kokoro, but less focused. Dwell on this concept for a while longer and you'll probably find some more inspiration.

A farming isekai. MC helps the on the farm-girl whose farm he was teleported to. He slowly trickles out technology that is helpful but not too revolutionary, like potato peelers, however since patents aren't a thing most of his creations simply flow out with no recognition. In his spare time, he's trying to reconstruct the periodic table and fast track the creation of advanced metals.
>>
YuGiOh/cardgame anime parody where the MC's only real motivation for playing the game is to get laid by meeting women too awkward to get sex elsewhere.
Shadowgame-esque bullshit starts happening and he has to face off with villains that are basically incredible idiots at everything besides deck composition. MC beats them by having even less respect for the game than any of the people he fights.
MC consistently defends his "friends" by being a complete dirtbag. His final fight is so bad the villain just gives up before it even ends, not wanting to respect him as a player to even play shadowgamebullshit the gathering.

In "Yandere Kanojo", Yandere is short for "Yankee-Dere", essentially what you're describing.

>>156165985
There's a trend of what I'll call "spreadsheet worldbuilding" in a lot of YA fiction, and by extension anime. You have several distinct districts, and every district has its own special theme, and there are a bunch of people, and then they've all got one power per person, and then you subdivide them into groups, and they're all playing a game, etc. For western examples: four houses at Hogwarts; thirteen districts with two tributes each, and one of each gender, and one special power per, etc.; Homestuck, period. It gets to the point where it sounds like Mad Libs. Things get added to the story not because they're needed, but because there's a hole in the immutable spreadsheet that dictates the world. And then when you start labeling everything with a smorgasboard of Special Proper Nouns, it just gets silly. The worldbuilding drowns out the story.

I say all this because off the bat, this is the vibe I feel from your premise. I already know how things go when high schoolers get magic powers; what I want to know is what's special about your high schooler? Why is he important enough to become our MC? Why is this game so special?

I can tell you have the events of your story worked out, and the logistics, and the aesthetic. What you might want to think about next is the heart of it. It's all just window dressing until you stick some people inside of it.

>>156167981
You do a good job sorting out your MC off the bat; props on this. I'm not sold on "their uniform gives them one superpower, but only one", though. This harkens back to the gamey feeling prevalent in a lot of YA, where everything slots into an elaborate system.

Otherwise, this is pretty good. The cloning stuff strains belief, but motives, conflict, arcs, mysteries, etc. are all there—all the things that shows like Avatar prospered through. I'd watch this.

Been thinking about this idea a bit more so decided to jot down some concepts

Best friend: Basic nice but dense guy and could leave it that but expanding a bit by asking why he is a nice guy. best backstory I can think of at the moment is his parent had him as a mistake and dumped him at his grandfathers saying "you never took care of me so why should I take care of my child". This striking a cord with the grandfather as well as realizing that he is literally the only family the newborn friend has, decides to take a some what early retirement to make sure his grandson is at least heading towards the general right direction and is the main source of Friends personality and attitude. Also little bit of a scum squad friendship with the MC.
Transfer student: Probably starts the off series and lets just say for the sake of convenience that her personality causes her to be isolated in the class. After Friend decides to try to get to know the transfer student, he convinces MC to help by either bribing him with his favorite soda or saying he might "accidentally" lose the game he's currently borrowing. So in return MC gives friend a literal push on the back forward causing the harem hallway collision. and usual sequence of events happens. Rest of the chapter plays out as The Transfer student and the Friend somehow resolve the misunderstanding, become acquaintances (+1 harem member) and MC is happy cause he got some free pop and/or his game back.
Movie date: MC seeing there's a special screening of a movie series he like only problem is he doesn't have enough money. But there's a little note saying in a round about way "couples get a discount" and said discount is just enough for MC to be able to go. So he borrows one of the harem girls that owes him a favor to be a stand in girlfriend just long enough for him to buy the ticket, which back fires immediately after harem girl sees a would be ex and MC has to keep up the couple charade longer than expected.

boogeyman cont'd

Show:
The boogeyman rarely left his lair, where he studied the ancient text, but on one occasion he did. This time he was hunting the Maximals, but this time the Decepticon prodigy was with them. The prodigy was incredibly powerful, but not strong enough, yet the boogeyman sensed something inside him that confused him and made him back off.

One of the boogeyman's experiments escaped, and word slowly got back to the capital that they may have found him. In the meantime, the local tyrant asked him to create a new fuzor out of a bug he was disappointed in and an iguana who was smart, but not a bug. The operation was a success, but before he could finish cleaning up, he had to flee, because the Autobot President and his air fleet came to bomb his lair. The boogeyman laid low while the Autobots dug through the wreckage and left. Then he rebuilt his lair.

The next time he came out, he was confronted by a Transmetal 2 he didn't recognize, the metallic Maximal. They dueled. In the fight, it was clear the metallic Maximal's driving force was his love for his friends and the pain of losing them. It finally made the boogeyman remember his wife and his daughter, and it cured his madness. The boogeyman became overcome with grief from all the bad things he had done too. He dropped his guard and let the metallic Maximal impale him.

The boogeyman woke up many days later in the spot where he fell, surprised that his Transmetal 2 body healed his injuries. The world was different too, the local tyrant was gone. When he returned to his lair and found the Driver and the ancient text missing, he realized what was happening.

In the ancient text, he had read BW Megatron's scathing analysis of the Tripredacus Council and knew that they would use the artifacts even more horrifically than he did. To atone, he made it his mission to stop the Tripredacus Company and find a keeper for the artifacts. He headed towards the capital.

More than Harems, more than paper thin characterization, more than plot holes big enough to drive a Japanese Death Truck through, one thing you're guaranteed to find in every battle shonnen is collateral damage. Every battle is an excuse to blow up chunks of scenery, which are always put back right by next episode.

Enter the MC, a new transfer student, his transfer applications were just barely good enough to get him into the battle academy, and his academic performance is equally bad. He has no previous clubs or associations. While his ability woud be formidible in battle, he's a lazy slob and plamo modeling enthusiest who refuses to use his powerful Breaking Point technique(the ability to sense perfect points to strike to destroy things) in actual combat. The only thing he wants is the name this prestigeous Battle Academy Highschool on his transcript to guarantee him a cushy office job with some previous alumni after he graduates.

Sadly, his quiet new life is hijacked by a crazy club President and the Student Council to be the newest member of the Mechanized Maintenance Brigade at the School. Usually made up of losers and misfits, this club is typically just the Student Council's bitch brigade and, in addition to being pushed around and bullied, they're dispatched to clean up and repair all the damage done by the students in their battles to keep the school running with the help of thier PatchGear mechanized suits.

It's only after the MC is forced into this club that he realizes his destruction technique can be used in reverse, allowing him to pinpoint problems and repair just about any object in record time. Soon, at the behest of the Student Council and his crazy club president who sees his potential, he is dragged kicking and screaming into the International Maintenance Club competitions where super powered repair crews in mecha suits do battle to be the Kings of Clean.

None as far as I'm aware of. I read these things raw. Its 2nd volume only just got put a few days ago so I doubt it has much attention yet.

On a side note the "MC" escalates her dere at breakneck speeds(cosplay, princess carrying, homemade lunches) during their alone time together and the MC is conflicted as fuck since her being right in his strike zone clashes against his ideal of what a main character should be like. It makes for a delicious reading.

This is your typical story about a strong hero saving a fantasy world from the evil Demon Lord alongside his harem of cute girls, except for one little detail: those girls aren't with MC by chance, they are actually representatives of a bunch of factions who want to bring the hero to their side.
Now watch as each of this groups works behind the scenes to ensure their girl ends up being the winner of the MCbowl. You have the Holy Church suportting the oppai loli priestess, the Knight Order supporting the tomboy warrior, the Cult of the Ancient Ones supporting the ara ara onee-san type witch and so on.
The story would basically show the hero doing his usual battle shounen harem things while all the groups work behind the scenes to create the kind of contrived situations you would see in a story like that.

Just how many characters do I have? I dunno. Let's do a minor character this time, who I can wrap up in one post.

Backstory:
The boogeyman's wife suffered a lot. First her daughter disappeared, then her husband was killed in an accident at work. The Tripredacus Company showed her the remains of his original body, apologized, honored his memory, and gave her enormous compensation.

She was now incredibly rich, but incredibly sad. She moved out of the capital and into the wasteland to be alone. One day, a stray wandered onto her estate. He was a young Decepticon, not even old enough to talk, but she felt the warmth of her daughter from him and took him in. She named him, taught him how to speak, and taught him kindness. All the while, in addition to his strange warmth, she noticed he was incredibly powerful. She knew he was not just a Transformer.

Before long, she fell ill. She thanked the Decepticon, saying that he allowed her to live a little longer through the grief. She tells him that he had a sister and wished he got to meet her. She tells him there is something special inside him and that he is meant for something greater than helping out an old lady. She sends him off to find his destiny and passes away.

>Could work, though despite poking fun at the battle harem genre, it is still functionally a battle harem
I don't know if I was clear enough but the actual harem would be in the background.
The show would actually focus on each factions trying to manipulate events to rise the MC's opinion of their girl and fighting each other over stupid shit like who the MC will "accidentally" find in the hotspring.
Basically, imagine a harem where each girl has a team of spec ops helping her get into the typical battle harem situations.

A former teen Idol who had single smash hit, but burned out on the Idol lifestyle before she could land lasting success, is stuck living hand to mouth on part time temp jobs now that she's in her 30's. Despite this she still loves music and writes songs, occasionally playing them on NicoNico behind a mask, earning more than a little underground fame. A producer for an up and coming idol group tracks her down despite her anonymity and hires her be their manager and groom them: Give them pointers on how to be idols, show them the ropes of performance both on and off stage, and most importantly, write them songs. Under her tutlage, this young teen idol group explodes out of the gate, becoming incrediblly famous.

Despite her success behind the scenes, despite getting millions to listen to her songs, she only became more bitter and depressed, sad and frustrated that she'll never earn the fame she always sought with her own hands even as people talk behind her back calling her a washed-up has-been living on the coat tails of actual talent.

She quits her job, comes home, and records herself live casting off the mask and revealing who she actually is. She pours her heart and soul, all her frustration and anguish into a live, impromptu song, ad libbed on the spot with her guitar talking about how hard it is make a living teaching other people how to be famous when all you have to go on is your own failure. Her song goes viral, however, and she soon gets offers for contracts with companies, including the rival publishing house of her former idol troupe. And she has to ask herself, is it worth it diving back into the limelight after everything else that's happened to her? Especially when it will essentially make her enemies with her former student Idols who, despite everything else, always stood by and appreciated her?

Same. I actually spent maybe 4 or 5 years world building a comic book-esque ensemble cast story about modern day vampires, werewolves, witches etc operating under a bounty system issued by a secret society who governs all supernatural individuals under their own special laws so they deal with their own kind when they commit crimes and use magic to cover up the existence of supernatural people from the general public. I have an extensive list of characters doing their own story arcs in their parts of the city while occasionally making a cameo team up with another main character. I haven't written a single actual sentence for that story though. Ended up writing about a Japanese school girl who starts a rock back with her childhood friend.

>I remember this one. Why is it necessary for the MC to be isekai'd?
It's part of his shtick as 'the chosen one'. He's a completely neutral party instead of belonging to one of the kingdoms.

MC is a pretty village girl in a dark fantasy world. This world is ruled over by the God of Darkness. One day, the governor of MC's province tries to marry her, but MC's father refuses him. Being the evil governor type, he arranges with the temple to have MC sacrificed to the Dark God as revenge.

Being a mere village girl, the MC has no power to stop this, nor does her father, and MC is sacrificed without issue. As her soul floats through the underworld, a great serpent calls out to her. The serpent is actual the God of Evil, who was slain by his children thousands of years ago. As it turns out, the MC's soul is powerful enough that the Evil God can resurrect her as a demigod.

Striking a deal with the God (or more accurately, forced into a deal), the MC is resurrected. In return for this, the Evil God tells her to travel the continent and find the 5 prisons where his children have been imprisoned by the Dark God. When she finds them, she must collect pieces of the Evil God's fragmented soul, which make both her and the Evil God more powerful as she collects them.

The MC's new demigod body has two forms, that she interchanges between. Her female form, Scylla, is a witch that can raise the dead, destroy minds and fire a bolt of energy that causes people to explode into blood. Her male form, Charybdis, is an immortal antipaladin with a giant mouth, filled with needle teeth and acid saliva. He also has a giant battle axe.

An unapologetic edgefest adventure ensues.

40 pages is a sound start. By all means, keep writing. However, there are some technical aspects to writing that can't be improved in a vacuum of only your own writing. Don't just read things you like, but study them. How do authors you respect handle the technical issues you're struggling with?

>>156172163
Makes more sense. The colder, more cynical side of this story is appealing when juxtaposed against the trivialities of the harem.

>>156172233
Try writing a short, simple story without much worldbuilding to speak of. Then when you've had that experience, apply what you've learned to your fantasy novel.

>>156172312
Trying is the first step after wishing, if you ever feel so inclined. First attempts are never pretty, but each attempt will get a little better.

>>156172515
No problem; it's been a pleasure reading. This one is particularly good. It feels very grounded in the MC's inner struggles and, as a result, also very poignant. A familiar genre, but a side of it that anime typically shies from exploring. A story with a lot more emotional weight to it than your typical anime. It'd make a great film–it has that level of gravitas—and I'd watch it for sure.

>>156172621
Good enough reason. The systems of governance premise is interesting. I'm sure you could get a lot of mileage out of the philosophy at work.

>>156172789
Nationalistic military anime is a genre of its own.

>>156172866
Both a God of Darkness and a God of Evil? Yes, definitely an unapologetic edgefest. For what this aspires to, what you have should work.

More info okay. Well in the world powers are assigned completely at random which threw the political system into chaos for awhile as a number of supers tried to set up their own fiefdoms. Eventually the government was able to reestablish order after creating its own team of super powered individuals. However crime is still a major problem as for villain arrested or killed another five are born. The heroes are outnumbered and overworked and because of this there's tension between some of the hero's and their government handlers. With some feeling things would be better if they took over.

Which is where our mc's employer comes in. He's not actually hyper intelligent but rather he can reverse time back to when he got his powers. Thus his predictions are actually just knowledge he has retained from a previous timeline. The reason he is going through with his kill all the heroes plan is that in all of the timelines he has been in they all end the same way with the heroes and government clashing and the world being destroyed in the fighting. So he's decided to kill them all, he eventually plans to kill all the villains too but that comes later.

Story at first focuses on our 4 villains trying to work together despite personalities that are antagonistic to one another. The mc doesn't want to kill, the magical girl treats everything as a game because she's unable to cope with reality, the strong guy is actually just suicidal and wants to die in battle. The rapist just wants to get his dick wet and has no possibility of a redemption arc.

A show which begins as a typical by the books mech genre show with a Banagher/Amuro style hero, the Char Clone and Sayla dynamic with a few supporting characters like the bridge bunnies and supporting pilots. A typical big villain who started the war for their own purposes for 'well-intentioned' reasons

The cast engages in the typical beats of a gundam rip off for the first 8 episodes then Big Bad begins to become more proactive which results in a confrontation beteween him and the protagonists.

A three way battle between the crew, Rival and the Big Bad starts and eventually concludes with the death of the heroine, then the death of the Big Bad and Hero by the hands of the Rival. Unlike Aldnoah, these three remain dead, although their influence is felt throughout the rest of the series.

The power vaccum left by the death of the Big Bad leads to the Rival along with other antagonists trying to take the position of top dog. All the while, the Rival is haunted by his killings of the Big Bad, a man whom he respected to a degree, the MC, whom he killed out of spite and the heroine who he failed to save. Meanwhile the crew begins to learn to deal with the death of the person who otherwise would be their hero and continue in the fight.

This leads to them clashing with the Rival who the entire crew believe is probably one of the most evil pieces of shit to ever exist. They almost kill him, however they instead decide to merely imprision him. However, another villain who was introduced as a small fry working for the Big Bad comes to power, continuing the war.

The rival pledges his help to stop the new villain, leading to an uneasy alliance between him and the crew.

A bit edgy I know, but I've just finished the Gundam Novels and I want a mech show where the crew become the leads. Also, the idea of killing off the hero, villain and heroine is just an appealing it would changes the dynamics within the show forever.

MC and photographer scouting locations to use for photoshoots. accurate depictions of the whole cosplaying process that can actually be used by beginners who want to get into the hobby. photographer guy also also randomly drops actual photography terms like rule of thirds, leading lines, f-stop, ISO etc.

My problem with geography is related to making a map of the world/continent/country I want to set my story in.

You are Alabaster Soliloquy, hot-shit destroyer of anime pussy and five time champion of the North High Quiz Bowl. Your manly scent is the number-one cause of cock addiction amongst nukige heroines.
As usual, you get dragged from angelic dreams of Fatalpulse doujins yet-to-be by your bitch of an older sister. She wakes you up with a hard rap of her knuckles against your forehead.

"It's almost 8:00," Cerise says. "You're gonna be late."
There's no worse way to start the morning than seeing her slutty dog choker and unkempt bedhead. You can practically taste last night's beer fumes puttering like exhaust from her every pore. Trying not to gag, you sit up and rub your forehead where she hit you. "Why don't you worry about your own business? At least I've got things to be late to. Shouldn't you be job searching right now?"
Cerise folds her arms. "It's a bad economy! There aren't any jobs out there!"
You sigh, throw your covers off, and stand. After a few seconds of groping around the clothes-strewn floor, you grab a pair of crumpled and stale-smelling jeans from the pile. You pull them on over your boxers. "I cannot wait until mom and dad kick you out," you say.

"They'll kick you out before they kick me out. They actually love me." In the silence that follows as you finish getting dressed, Cerise glances around your sty of a bedroom. "It stinks like cum in here."

"Are you sure it's not just you? I know you've been itching to graduate from your cam show to literal prostitution."

"It's that," Cerise says, pointing at the trash bin next to your computer desk overflowing with tissues. "Did you spend your *entire* summer jerking off?"
"At least I wasn't doing it in front of strangers for money."
"As if anyone would want to see you tugging on your pencil dick. Your only hope in life is if the supreme court legalizes cartoon marriage."

>>156173829
Actually, I remember the story that went with this map now.
>20 years before the stroy starts, there are 3 kingdoms
>a human one around the central lake, an undead one to the West, and a demon one to the East
>the undead and the demons both launch invasions at the same time and split the human kingdom 50/50
>on the undead side, humans are culled and ressurected as footsoldiers
>on the demon side they are enslaved or eaten
>timeskip, tensions are building between the undead and demon kingdoms
>2 MCs
>on the Demon side the MC is the prince of the Kingdom, wants to destroy the undead before they become any stronger
>on the Undead side, the MC is a homunculus servant to a vampire clan
>most homunculi are mindless, but undead MC was a prototype, so has intelligence
>wants to overthrow masters and become free
I don't remember where it was going from there, though.

Here's my old idea for a Jojo's part
Stand Name: Silent Night
Stand Ability: Cloaking/Noise Canceling
Power - N/A
Speed - E
Range - D
Durability - E
Precision - C
Potential - A
Description: Takes the appearance of Baby Jesus. Has no offensive capabilities, and can only make the user, itself and anyone within a radius 3m of it invisible and soundless while it is asleep. If it wakes up, it starts crying and is guaranteed to alert all living things in the area and the ability is canceled. Upside to having so many flaws is that it has a hidden ability to attract friendly stand users towards it since it's Baby Jesus the Stand. Evolves into Amazing Grace when the stand user is killed and can create miracles.
Takes place in a remake of Part 5 in Italy with an evil vampiric Vatican and an evil Pope. part 9, takes place in Italy just like Part 5, but instead the MC fights Vatican vampires
and normal stand users fighting for the Pope since he commands them without knowing he's a vampire
Vampire Pope is looking to destroy the source of the world's holy water which in reality just makes Hamon users stronger/gives Requiem stands via drinking it, and it is also as lethal to vampires as the sun. The fake holy water the vampire pope gives to his most trusted servants is his actually his blood as he’s slowly corrupting more of the Vatican from the inside.
Jojesus brings the Vatican back to normal and the origins of vampires in this universe are revealed
A different meteor, opposite to the one that gives people stand powers crashed on Earth and that is what the stone masks are made from.
spoilers, the Stand Arrow is made from a meteor

>the kami and tengu of the harem are all bound to a place or object. the forest kami can barely leave sight of her forest.

Another currently minor character, but he's based on such a cool toy that I don't wanna waste him on a minor character.

Backstory:
Like everyone else, the Autobot President was frustrated with the Autobots. He was an ex-police official who thought his Autobot bosses were ineffective and incompetent. He felt that in order for the Autobots to get things done, he would have to do them himself, so he left the force and became an independent investigator.

When campaign season rolled around, he decided to run for office as well, and his message was that he would reign in bureaucracy and get things done. During one of his speeches, word got to him that a nearby medical center was under attack. He made a big show of it by stopping in the middle of his speech and flying over there. On the grounds of the burning medical center. He swore to catch those responsible for harming beast formers.

The Tripredacus Company saw the Autobot President as the perfect compromise. He was a flying helicopter Autobot instead of a car. He appeared different enough to those who were ready to vote for a Seeker, without really being different at all, and his big show at the medical center made him jump in popularity among beast formers. The Tripredacus Company started backing his campaign and made him a real candidate.

They worked together to hunt the perp. The Autobot President met the young informant, who gave him enough good leads to corner the local tyrant. The tense standoff ended in a firefight in which the local tyrant was killed.

The Autobot secured the presidency with the quick capture of the local tyrant. He made the informant a special agent, and he was grateful to the Tripredacus Company. Their relationship grew for many years, and he became fully loyal to them.

another story idea I had
Udon/slice of life melancholy sort of story.
Stumbles upon the restaurant at the start, starts going there and becomes a regular. Something happens and he helps the owner out (i.e. robber tries to steal money from the store or something) MC stops it, owner feels indebted and gives free meals. Owner is an older woman, family is gone, widow, and her kids have their own families are are too busy with their own lives. MC has mother issues and is stuck at a stressful job and barely has time to cook meals for himself. MC starts feeling guilty and still pays for the meals from time to time. Time passes and they feel like a real mother and son, possibly expand on why the lady is living by herself, what happened to her husband and kids if there were any. MC ends up helping to keep the restaurant alive through different shenanigans, new characters get introduced and new regulars start going there. MC gets over his mother issues and has some sort of realization. Ends with old lady dying. MC gets depressed, becomes a shut-in and thinks what was the point because he ended up losing another mother figure. MC reads a letter from the old lady, realizes those good memories weren’t a waste, that she’ll live on in his heart and somehow moves on with his life.

Here's the setup for one of my stories
Part 1
>A large continent is being held in long war of good vs evil.
>A small group of sorcerers lead by an arch-mage is about to use their gathered magic to cast an ultimate spell that will give them shared power over land spirits to use them to take over.
>However, the Archmage is betrayed by three of his younger comrades who colluded with each other to take the magic for themselves which will be more potent only shared between three rather than a dozen or so.
>They get a hold of the power and kill or subjugate every other person in the group except the archmage who fights back
>The archmage is eventually overpowered and uses his magic reserves to teleport far away.
>Years pass and the three sorcerers actually succeed in taking over with their corrupted land spirits and have divided their land into three territories.
>It's revealed that in those years, the archmage has built up a cult of people who have been hurt by their rule to start gathering magical energy to make a weapon that will counter the dark land spirits
>archmage's plan involved breeding with the most magically adept females in the cult in order to create a child that will be able have the potential to wield the weapon without being completely consumed
>>
>>156174685
Part 2
>After many attempts, a child is born that fits the requirements needed.
>The child is regarded as a messiah to the cult and is devotedly raised until she's 15 when the weapon is ready to be completed
>The ritual to finish the weapon requires blood sacrifices of vengeful spirits so the cult members engage in what is basically mass suicide to have all their blood be absorbed into the weapon
>The girl raised to be their messiah is traumatized by seeing all the people she loves happily offing themselves
>The final part of the ritual involved her being thrown into the same blood pool the weapon is in to so they will be bound together
>When she is in contact with the weapon, she feels the immense dark magic flow through her and she hears the voices of vengeance from all who have died ordering here to murder the three dark mage lords.
>the stress and trauma from in all drives her insane and for a long period of time she roams the land like a rabid monster killing anyone in her path.
>Eventually she gets into a battle with one of the few remaining sages of the land and fights him to the death. Before the sage dies he casts a purifying spell over the girl bringing her to her senses.
>because she is still haunted by the spirits of vengeance within her, she decides to travel the land to find the three dark mages and slay them so that the voices will be at piece.
>>
>>156174825
I meant "peace", geez.
Anyway, it's basically a dark adventure story. The girl, due to her trauma, is basically an impassive and stoic badass with a few of her original personality traits breaking through occasionally. She slowly starts feeling empathy for those hurt by the three mages rule and adds that reasoning for her resolve.

Okay, apparently there's more to this guy than I thought.

Backstory cont'd:
As President, the Autobot was able to get things done, but not for the population. He got things done for his friends in the Tripredacus Company. When they were dealing with the rogue Seeker princess and her gang, the Autobot President sent his most trusted special agent after her. When they claimed the Seekers were threatening their power, he antagonized them and prepared for war.

There was a dark secret to the Autobot's presidency. They had a feeling they didn't actually capture the local tyrant. The body didn't decompose right and there was no spark, but they didn't really care, so the President was surprised when his special agent took a mission to follow one of the militiamen who was just released from prison.

Show:
Eventually, the special agent reported back to them with a lead. The President flew in with his fleet looking for a capture, but after bombing, they found nothing except for a seemingly mindless Transmetal 2 and the Transmetal Driver. They brought them back, studied him, and tried to replicate him. The project failed when their drones turned out to be conscious and escaped.

The local tyrant returned with the ancient text that showed them how to use the Driver, and they got right to work creating Transmetal 2s. The princess showed up soon after with a new gang, and the President used her as an excuse to round up the Seekers. The Seekers fought back, and a war begun.

The President sent an emergency summons to his special agent to get him to join the fight against the princess and the Seekers.

That's all for the President for now. I wonder how that's gonna go!

Anime is called Club Wars. An eccentric principal takes over a school. He absolutely hates underachievers and believes cutthroat competition is the best way to bring the best out of people. He decides that every club in school will be ranked on their performance, with the poorest performing clubs being disbanded at the end of the school year. He gives out/takes away an arbitrary number of points for random things. For the sports clubs, win/loss records have their points fluctuating daily. Music club gets a boost if they perform well at the school festival. Fundraising also gets you a boost in points depending on how much money you make for the school. Most interestingly, entire clubs get points taken away if a student in the club does something to piss of the principal. Being disruptive in class, getting into fights, getting bad grades all warrant a loss in points. Anime has a massive cast. It's like if K-On, Free, Kuroko's Basketball, etc all took place in one school and all the characters sort of bled into each other's stories. Each club has one main character that gets the most focus, the rest are background characters to varying degrees of importance. Certain clubs are on paper guaranteed to succeed. The school basketball team is lucky enough to be the defending national champions, so everyone expects them to be at the top of the club rankings. Unfortunately their star player is also a delinquent who constantly skips classes, hilariously costing his club massive amount of points. Other clubs are destined for failure. The light music club is full of ditzy girls who are terrible to mediocre at playing music. They decide to earn points by volunteering to clean the school and having hair brained schemes like hosting a bake sale to raise money for the school. All the clubs have their own mini arcs, and they regularly intersect with each others. Like two best friends being in different clubs developing a friendly rivalry with each other.

What's wrong with that? I do think the latter sounds more natural. Real world locations rarely are very creatively named. People of the past just looked at mountains like, "those look pretty gray...Graytops." And that's that.

It is the ninth century AD in the Frankish kingdom. Civil war looms in the distance, and the bishop Agobard is busy penning a tirade against the superstitious peasants who believe storm mages are conspiring with cloud-sailing pillagers to pilfer their crops.

But he would be wrong.

Aboard a flying ship sent to steal grain for a starving city in the sky, a zealous young raider finds herself accidentally knocked overboard. She awakens to find a strange old man beside her and, in a panic, kills him with her magic wand.

In the nearby village, the physician's apprentice wonders what became of his master who went into the woods to investigate a strange sound. When he goes to look for himself, he finds a gravely wounded girl crawling out of the forest and takes her into his care.

The girl is taciturn at first. She doesn't speak a word of his language and seems to know nothing of the quiet village life, but gradually the two form a bond. This is the story of their relationship, as the boy struggles to take up the mantle of his vanished master in a time of great upheaval, and the girl tries to find a place for herself, a soldier, among peaceful farmers.

Will she find the words to tell the boy what became of the physician? Will they be able to protect the village against the oncoming war? Will they find an understanding of both themselves and each other?

Find out never because this won't get produced.

In near future, inbreeding finally catches up to japanese after thousands of years without gaijins. Or maybe it's the new genetic therapy that slows aging that breaks the kids. Likely both. A disease specific to Y chromosome kills 70% of boys before 10, and most of everyone else has various congenital defects. This makes birth rate plummet even more than it is now, as nobody wants a dead son or crippled daughter, and have very little inscentive to reproduce as they're practically immortal. The show depicts one of the last generations of kids going to one of the last schools in Japan, all disfigured but still cute girls.
But it doesn't reveal anything of that until later episodes, but hints at it, for example with creepily empty school and lack of boys. For first 3/4 of the show it's just K-On with cripples and their daily lives in an all-adult world.

The life of the knight is fleshed out, he has a family that loves him and his friends and this coffe shop he visits on sundays, etc.
Suddenly he gets isekai'd into our world.
Now he has to deal with the lack of empaty and a world that doesn't like him or wants him, finds that in this world there is no clear distinction between good and evil, he goes further and furthen down the gray line of morality, doing everytime more questionable stuff in order to survive, gathering another party of scum and forms a gang.
Traying to stay alive and maybe find a way home.

That picture reminded me of an idea. It's my Final Fantasy pitch:
>starts with a fishing boat hauling up a net and finding what a suit of armour inside
>the armour is futuristic, resembling a polish hussar (with wings), but doesn't function
>deciding they'll sell it, the fishermen head back home, leaving the armour out in the sun
>turns out the armour can be charged by the sun, it activates and becomes the MC
>MC has amnesia
>after running around for a while, exploring what looks to be a standard medieval village,
>MC runs into a village girl, who freaks out
>the MC can't speak because his armour doesn't have full function restored
>so he mimes, people kind of get it
>after some discussion, MC discovers where he is and decides to go looking for his home
>queue flashback of flying mecha fortress
>village girl suggests starting with the neighbouring big city, as the grand mage there may be able to help him
>so MC sets out
>some hijinks probably ensue along the way as with all FF games
>arrives at big city, where he tries to get audience with mage
>can't because he's a weirdly dressed mute who refuses to show his face (he can't because his armour's broken)
>so goes to find a way to sneak in
>pickpocket tries to rob him, gets apprehended, MC recruits him to help find a way into the grand mage's house
>add pickpocket to party
>they find a way into the mage's house and try to talk to her
>unfortunately, security finds them first, and they end up making a get away

Part 2 coming
>>
>>156181948
The knight is goody two shoes kind of guy, belived in the good in people and likes helping them out, with the help of the power his god gives him he slowly but surely cleans the evil from the land, with the help of his friends who are iqualy as good as him and care for those around them. He has a cute pure wife that loves him. When transported to this world he loses his powers.
He falls in despair after being betrayed over and over and learns painfully that he can't trust anyone here, he is force to sleep in the ground and eat trash because his pride and morals won't let him take advantage of other people. After helping out a woman from getting raped and getting the everloving shit kicked out of him, she takes him to her place in the slums to heal his wounds, he learns shes a prostitute and at first he rejects her help but he has no other choice.

Now here I don't know if he should go all the way into becoming a total edgelord and fall into despair, or find that that there are good in people, even here.
Maybe add a romance subplot with the whore or get her killed or something, sending him into a path of despair.

I forgot that the flashback actually has a timeskip

So there is a part before the part I described:
>MC is a young boy in a mountain village
>in the village, everyone is a mage except for MC and two other boys
>they are mocked and beaten for being freaks of nature who can't use magic
>eventually they're kicked out of the village and find shelter in a cave
>in the cave there is a big computer, which teaches them how to survive and looks after them with its robot minions
>MC and friends grow up to be strapping young men
>decide to return to their home village and make peace with their parents
>instead the mages kill them in cold blood
>after dying, one of the robots brings them back to the computer, who encases them in robotic suits and turns them into the technoknights
>they all swear revenge on the mages who are evil and wicked
Then comes the part I described.

Now back to the boss music:
>the boss fight music is actually a psyche
>over the course of his journey, MC has come to realise that not all mages are evil (although the ones in the village were)
>puts his sword away and walks down the corridor to the old armoury
>gets his old sword and fixes his armour
>decides he wants to return to the mountain ranges, where he first found the technogod
>queue restart of adventure, hijinks, quests, the ruler of the land still wants him dead

It's Isekai.
Sorry for my english.

>A large organization in charge of handling isekai MCs.
>Hero/Heroine summoning magic is actually a really complex form of a phone call which when performed, calls the organization who will immediately find a suitable hero/heroine for the world.
>Reincarnation is actually hero/heroine's being modified to suit their 'potential'.
>Cheat is just a ordinary skill installed into the hero/heroine and was modified to suit the world and the user. However, these cheats are different from the cheats made by the "Higher Beings" of the worlds.
>The people who are transferred to a different world are called "The chosen one"

>The large organization is actually just an extremely large land disconnected from space and can be divided into two, the city and the work place.
>The people who were brought to the large organization are referred as "The useless one" because they are useless, even when they die. That is the only way to get transferred to the organization.
>The useless ones gets teleport in and out of the workplace depending on the time they were assigned to work.
>Also, the useless ones can form a partnership with the chosen ones from a different world and temporarily bring them over to the organization.

>Sometimes, workers were transferred to other world to fix a "bug".
>Sometimes, they have to help a hero who can't get his/her shit right.
>Sometimes, trouble happens in the city and only those who aren't working can settle the problem.
>Sometimes, abnormal summons happens and everything just goes crazy.

>MC is a severely wounded and useless man who just began to live in this organization.
>He goes around to make the useless ones feel positive and special.

"What do you mean theres no subtitles"

Bored, lonely, and infatuated with the culture of the Superior Nippon, as group of stereotypical otakus find eachother in an empty online chatroom, and decide to make their own version of a suicide pact.
They will sell all their possesions and travel to Japan, living 3 months of harcore weeabooism, idol concerts, meeting with cute asian waifus and drinking tea with schoolgirls. After they all run out of money, they will reunite and end it all, having lived the life they always wanted to, at least for a little while.
Things get ugly when they arrive in Japan to discover that life is not an anime, they barely know japanese and otakus are generally frowned upon.
WIthout any money to take a plane back and their personalities (and taste in anime) clashing after the first meeting, the group disbands just after agreeing the place of their last reunion.

Its supposed to be a short 8-11 episode sort-of-slice-of-life kinda anime. Following each of the 5 main characters as they discover both japanese culture and themselves, while trying to survive in a fairly hostile society with little to no money, and eventually recovering their faith in themselves and the will to live.

Las arc has all the characters reuniting, four of them having discovered their true passion, made some money on the side, and greeting eachother as friends. The fifth one had refused to adapt, unable to let go of his fantasies, and demands to go on with the plan. They will need to use what they have learned to help him find himself.

"It's so nice to meet you, my twin brother."

Main Guy is your average protag, nothing out of the usual and has two friends both who would become important to the story. Main girl, however, transferred into the school the year before claiming to be the daughter of a demon king from another world. The two are really the secret twin of the demon king and hero and was separated at birth. When a rogue god threatens the balance of both worlds, the twin has to stop them while uncovering the real reason between their birth and the civil war between demons and humans.

It's your standard fantasy anime, but I totally see it becoming grimdark with the main guy being inexperienced and main girl believing that our world is worthless in hindsight.

Isekai about a school where pupils have the ability to mentally control people. A part of the government who specialize in the colonizing and conquering of other worlds use a new "MMORPG", as a way for these kids with special powers to become their personal army. One of the students learn that the characters they are controlling are in fact real and empathize with the beings they are taking over. A small schism occurs where half the students still want to play while the other half want to liberate the creatures they are controlling in the other world.

On suface it's K-On with cripples- doesn't need to have a big plot, it'll work better as an episodic series. Deeper down it's their attempts to live in a world that they have to catch up to mentally, where they have to constantly improvise because the little experience elders share is often not applicable to them, and that they can't ever be on par with physically because they'll always be handicapped, but that's not plot as well.
It's still supposed to be a cute and light-hearted show, but you will realise their lives aren't easy as soon as the reveal of the setting gets by. They stay strong despite knowing it'll lead them nowhere anyway, just trying to enjoy the current moment. They don't even know what they're going to do after school, or if they'll even finish it, the only reason they stay is to have something to do (and friends).

Isekai is fun, ask Lewis Carroll.

"Why Is My Isekai Adventure Just Summoning Crazy Chuuni Schoolgirls From Other Dimensions?"

An anime fanboy but otherwise normal Japanese highschool student discovers he has a strange ability when he is confronted by a magical beast from another world. He summons to his aid... a rather normal looking schoolgirl, who proceeds to speechify in a flowery, kind of crazy way before she busts out a giant dragon of black lightning to obliterate the beast. As the boy talks to her, he soon realizes she's completely nuts; an utter chuunibyou case, she never had any powers before. But now, thanks to him summoning her to his world, she has gained magic abilities matching her delusions.

Over the course of the show he summons a combat harem of deluded crazy schoolgirls who inherit magical powers thanks to being summoned by him. The final battle with the summoner of the magical beasts reveals the truth the boy is secretly from another world, it's why he's being targeted. Season 2 will feature the boy and his harem returning to his home dimension and exploring it for his real parents.

Take a gander at Novel Updates and tell me what almost every single novel series on their "Series Ranking" chart has in common: isekai.

It's not hard to guess why. Isekai is the ideal plot device for an escapist, wish-fulfillment fantasy.

> The protagonist can stand in much more closely for the average reader than if they had been part of the other world from birth.
> The story often places inordinately high value on "skills" the reader would have, but which aren't all that useful here, like having an encyclopedic knowledge of anime tropes, or a military otaku's paper expertise with weapons, or knowing how video games work, etc.
> You can get away with knowing jack nothing about history when creating a pseudo-historical setting because the reader wants to see the fantasy world remade in the image of the modern world anyway.
> The protagonist is often even lower in status in the real world than the reader, so the reader never feels "overshadowed" by the protagonist, even though they're usually "the chosen one".
> It's also very easy to slot into whatever genre the writer is most familiar with, and the writer doesn't even need to make a very complex or unique world because they can just explain as part of their premise that the MC gets teleported into "a generic fantasy world" and the reader will accept this.

And then, once an idea becomes predominant, everyone gets the same bright idea at the same time to tweak one small element and call it a parody, or "deconstruct" its conventions, though in reality all this does is increase the flood of isekai. Hence every third post is "isekai BUT xyz".

I don't know when it will pass. It certainly won't die off, since it's a positively ancient motif. And even when its time in the limelight has ended, it'll only be replaced by whatever the next hypermarketable plot device is.

But for now, this is apparently what people want to read, so you may as well accept that.

>twist is the girl was god's daughter Azrael, the angel of death, and she grew conscience and decided killing for god was wrong so she lead a rebellion and was killed, only to be reincarnated as human
>the sword and all of her fights are gods way of torturing her, trying to kill her conscience and make her the killing machine she was to destroy her will

>Story involves the second rebellion and ends with her killing god

Those of us who write stories, weren't we moved by something with heart? Shouldn't we then be trying to produce something with heart? We're not corporate execs trying to make quick, ez cash. You seem really hung up on other people liking or talking about isekai stuff. Do you dislike isekai that much? Did... did isekai do something bad to you?

Can you show me on the doll where Isekai touched you?

In all seriousness, though, isekai stories are just another literary device. While they can be used in a pandering way like >>156201972 mentions, they also serve as a useful tool. By giving us a parallel world, they can easily be used to explore alternate histories, or to give a different take on modern ideas through alegory or extrapolation. By casting the main character out of his comfort zone, it creates drama as he searches for his place in a new world, and examines what he knows about himself and how he sees the world.

There are plenty of anime out there that don't just use isekai as a crutch: Off the top of my head, the classic fantasy mecha series Aura Battler Dunbine, and Now and Then, Here and There which both deal seriously with the idea of crossing to a parallel world.

I didn't mean to say "Write an isekai because that's what's selling", but I do think it's futile to rage against it.

Every writer is not only a creator of content, but a consumer of it. They create stories that reflect their interests, and they consume stories that reflect their interests. Even without any monetary incentive, it's only natural that writers would produce stories resembling the ones they consume.

The current crop of isekai stories, as said, are practically engineered for maximum appeal to the otaku/juvenile set, LN/manga writers included. A writer who wants to read isekai content will likely produce isekai content. And so on.

I can sympathize with your apathy towards this kind of fiction. It's not the sort of material I seek out either, but I can accept that the things I want to read lack this sort of broad appeal and will therefore never seize the attention of the creators and consumers in the same way.

All we can do is tell our own stories and support the storytellers whose works move us. Produce something with heart, as you say, and readers will come. So, what's the tale you want to tell?

Humanity in the year 2020 was attacked by an alien race whose technology surpassed our own. Managing to destroy all but 7 cities and 10% of humanity, the world became a wasteland. They would have have destroyed it all, but from the death of billions one came to life.
The Hero Gene
A strange mutation, It manifests during crises that threaten communities of people, and grants those blessed with it with superhuman attributes. The power granted scales with the threat and the lives lost. With the threat of extinction and the billions of lives lost, the hero born was tremendously powerful
But this hero did not care. Born with the power to save the human race, he believes the purpose of "saving" people inferior to him is idiotic and wasteful, and leads a slothful life. His existence detered the aliens, but they are slowly seeing the hero's antipathy towards them, and are set on destroying humanity once more. The humans are dead set on waking him, and they do it through sending a bunch of orphans

>Throughout all of music history, there has never been an object quite as sought after as the debut tapes by the famous idol pop group POP~E, of which only 12 are known to exist. Only three are in the wild, the others either owned by the band's record label or by secretive collectors.
>Auction prices for supposed copies of the tape cost upwards of $5,000,000 and often turn out to be fakes.

This makes Naomi's dilemma even worse: does she sell the tape, come forward with what's on it, or just dump it online anonymously?
>The second is how she juggles her tape deliberations with her school life. She's good enough friends with members of her orchestra that, when they come over to her dorm room, they eventually find the tape. Keeping it a secret puts a major strain on her social life.

Sports anime. Instead of sports it's studying. Cue super-powered grades competition.

I'm pretty sure that is not how the military works.

At the close of the great day, a vagabond searches the scuttled ruins of man. She finds only a boy and, lest he be snuffed out alongside the light, she takes him under her wing. Swifter and swifter, things are winding down around them. She does whatever she must, as she has always done, no matter how the boy protests. In this late hour, this the lot of all those who remain, but for the first time she finds herself afraid, not for herself, but for the boy. As the sun begins to gutter in the almighty lamp, she must protect something more precious than her own life—something even she is yet to understand—or else the lights will go out for good.

You want it more grim and dark?
>Changing the events of the prophecy doesn't change anything as the spirit is released
>Storm clouds cover the world, making navigation by the stars useless
>The ground is ruined making it unable to grow food, communities now have to rely on magicians to produce food
>He doesn't belong to a community so he has to kill to survive
>Has hesitation at first, but doesn't want to die as that would doom another world
>Kills many people and remembers that some of them he had helped, or they had helped him
>Monster of the week, some literally rape him, some destroy entire communities
>More memories come to him, realises that the fairy is a traitor who helps the fairy queen come to worlds to destroy them, and she intentionally botched his attempts with the prophecy
>Fairy is kill and he no longer cares for the world, murdering anyone in his way

Maybe, but there are things to consider. The story is over when he decides he loves her. The fun goes away after that. Like, after he realizes that he's in love with her, what interesting arc is there for his character to go on?

Add to the comedy by having the Maximals also assign him a cute genki lieutenant

That would be funny, but he didn't want them to split up in the first place. I think he wants me to write a h-happy couple.
