Megumin is literally and provably a genius though. She was the top mage in the Crimson Village academy. Arue surpases her in chuuni, Yunyun in martial arts, but nobody in magic power and casting. The LN showcases her intelligence better than the anime though. She can be manipulative bitch.

Aqua can do her job just fine, she's the most valuable in the team. Sometimes she attracts undead, but that's not her fault.
Her parlor tricks are a valuable commodity to make allies and unwind after work. They're most of the reason their team is so popular around town and why they have so many friends. More friends = more people to turn to when the chips are down.

She was literally gifted with every high class spell upon arrival, and wasted the rest of her vast pool of skill points on whatever she wanted. None of her spells are based on intelligence, nor were any of them "earned."

Megumin wasn't a goddess. She was born dirt poor and needed to use her smarts just to feed her family. She ended up being able to learn a spell so impressive almost nobody has the stats to learn it or the magic power to cast it, without becoming a lich.
