A theory: Norman is Mama's biological child, she hid him in the room inside the gate and planned to save him for last under the pretext of him having the best brain, ship Ray and Emma out, then let him and only him escape and get punished for it. Why do anime titles keep getting stupider?

Honestly, if we are to bring Norman back into the picture any time soon, I'd rather see him on his own. Have the story switch between two perspectives with the main group dealing with life outside the orphanage while Norman gains insight on the demons from inside the system.

This way Norman won't be reintroduced into the story out of thin air in the future while also having Ray and Emma grow and plan together without Norman playing the middle man.
