I don't think that's the main problem of this arc
The main problem was how quickly the rest of the characters got over the dream hypnosis, its like one chapter they were engrossed in their fantasies and the next they had already overcome them, with Rengoku it makes sense since he probably has years of experience but for Zenitsu and Inosuke we needed one more chapter in between to see them realizing they weren't in reality
Not to mention how abruptly Rengoku's flashback/dream thing was cut off, we still don't know if his little brother and father are dead or not

Rubs me the wrong way that the method to which the story showed that the MC was the kindest human being alive was by showing us that his inner core thing was all calm and shit and he was so kind he had kindness sprites just chilling in his subconscious.
Just felt lazy, instead of showing us how the guy is super kind though actions just show us his inner subconsciousness and have another character say he's the kindest human who ever lived and not have to bother doing additional work
I like this series but looks like it can't help but fall prey to common Jap storytelling of tell-don't-show

I think a way the author could have handled it is to show us that Tanjiro also had some darkness in his heart from the trauma of having his family killed, but instead he is stepping jesus territory with his subconscious being so perfect and flawless

I know it wasn't the main problem but it was an example of the weird awkwardness of it all. It's this totally unnecessary detail that doesn't really add anything.
The thing is, the humans working for Enmu are never allowed to be a credible threat, and there was no tension as a result. You could have removed them from this entirely and it wouldn't have made much of a difference.
