I think it's mediocre personally. The MC is some edgy generic nobody-kun you'd find doodled on a school notebook in 2006, the only decent female character is simultaneously bland and a bitch, and to top it all off, the show tries to convince you it has some deeper insight about the world, but ends up dropping the ball on several occasions. The setting is nonsensical, the weapons are lame, etc etc.

Yeah, I'd say it's pretty overrated.

I don't believe anything is really overrated. I find it to be understandable if you have a open mind.
