>we have tons of shitty fast food come get stupid fat with us and our stupid giant portions!
If the fatties can't moderate themselves they deserve it. Don't blame the companies that are just responding to consumer demand.
There is so much more to it than that. The place has had two spokespeople, both morbidly obese, both who died too. The owner is a former nutritionist. The waitresses dress like nursers. He started it as a joke to send a message about what's really killing america but people piled onto it out of irony, and he really has been making a business out of making people unhealthy, and knows it.
The whole history is very storied, like something you'd see in a Judge Dred comic.
It's called Carl's Jr. in burgerland.
isn't there more than one? I thought there was one in Phoenix too.
oh I looked it up, apparently it closed, I remember being on tv and some lady complained about how the nurses weren't actual nurses and for some reason the reported asked her if she thought she had a problem with dr pepper not being a real doctor.
I live in burgerland, it's called Hardee's
I know it's a regional thing but it always catches me off guard. Like how weirdos call soda "pop" or bouncy castles shit like "moon bounces" or something.
I want CIA to give back the fun
The fun of loli on toilets after eating Carl's Jr™
There's two entrances with their own sign. If you are from the West coast/south west or identify with the Carl's Jr. brand you take the Carl's Jr entrance, otherwise you take the Hardees entrance
Why would you serve in the US army if you felt that way in the first place?
I don't know if I'm being baited or not, are you serious?
>What if a soldier that fought and died for America doesn't identify as American?
The twins are cute
>finish 3kg burger
>get it free
>get your picture on the wall
>get another burger free
Loli haet Carl's Jr! Don't be a pedophile and dine at Carl's Jr.
I don't like it, but I'm Lovin It™.
There's an interview with the guy who opened that restaurant. He dislikes unhealthy people and basically says that from his experience as a nutritionist and self trainer the morbidly obese people are beyond salvation so he wants to kill them all. He's literally found a legal way to make money while fulfilling his dreams of culling the fatties. And the fatties are happy while he does it The dude is my hero.
I should also mention that he puts up photos of all the people who have literally died in his restaurant in the dining hall.
No; you saw a Hardee's post buyout.
I don't really like Cj's much at all besides the fried zucchini. I don't think much will change from this unless they stop making dried out fake-smoke-tasting offerings. I did like the bacon three way a lot, enough to hit the place up at least once a month, but it's gone now and I'm back to probably eating there once or twice a year.
His menu had reasonable items on it too. You can just buy a standard burg no worse than your average burger joint.
But lets be honest, most thin people stay thin for a reason.
I order Chinese, I get much more for the price and it tastes a lot better.
But they are?
Why do you think the obesity rates are going up every year in first world countries.
Were people 100 years ago simply less lazy? Nope, more access to food = more fat people.
So yes, having free food will make some fit people fat.
I went to a "traditional american" burger joint when I visited the UK once. It tasted like shit, but apparently everyone else thought it was good. Beyond that I couldn't find any other purveyors of burg anywhere else.
Are all you Yuropoor's burgs like that?
Yeah, UK has some shit tier burgs tbqh.
I have Five Guys in my city, and it's not that good, at least compared to the Carls Jr and Wendys I had in Tokyo, which people say taste the same as the American ones.
>Fresh and Organic
I didn't try many Japanese burgs apart from Mos Burgers, which had pretty cute little burgs.
It's called "people with no inherant self control finally are placed in a situation where they can access all the food they can shove down their throats". There are people like that literally everywhere, even Somalia. It's just that they can't get at the food. If given the chance, they too would become fat. There were fat people 100 years ago, they were just artificially kept from actually becoming fat due to food scarcity.
People who are inclined to give a shit about their health and their bodies will still do so even if the access to food around them improves.
>nearest hardees is 1.8 miles away
>nearest five guys is about a mile away
>Live in New York City
>Nearest Waffle House isn't until Pennslyvania
>Citycucks unironically try to tell me that IHOP is better
THEY DON'T UNDERSTAND
I guess that makes sense maybe.
I live in NYC and the donut places around me for miles are Dunkin Donuts. Was pretty shocked to learn that other people have a large variety when it comes to donuts.
>mfw I have McDonald's, Burger King, Carl's Jr., In-N-Out, Five Guys, The Habit, Fatburger, Shake Shack all within the vicinity
God Bless America.
>ketchup in hambagu
American here. Don't listen to these hipster faggots. The decision to go to the burger king, the wendys, or the mcdonalds which are in 100m of each other is precious, important, treasured. BK used to be my top choice, but then McD introduced the grand mac. Fuck, I'm going to get one of those right now.
Just keep running. That's why I live next to paths.
>not liking tomato paste and vinegar
about a mile away
so is wendys
I'll try that next time. They were out of grand macs so I had to get a regular big mac like a fucking asshole. You know what economists say--the desire for burgs is infinite but the supply is limited.
The quality of Arby's is like a lot of other places; it depends on the franchise owner. A lot of big chains I liked before I moved are absolute garbage where I am now. Arby's is one of those. The ones I went to in socal were great, the ones here are literally grade-school cafeteria tier.
Cute anime girl gets big manly American fries shoved in her face.
I want to liberate this loli from those big hairy arms of mass destruction.
>My red, white, and blue tears when I see anime girls, and other cultures, enjoying the burgers I love so much
>Have more than 7 burger joints, from global food chains to local food chains
>Whatburger, a texas hamburger chain, trumps them all
I wish the other places could compete but damn their burgers are just too good.
Tex mex is pretty good too, honestly. What'd you get senpai?
I live in Texas as well but I noticed that Burgerking had bigger facilities in places where Whataburger doesn't exist. Only once you enter Texas you will notice they all shrink.
Used to live in Dallas for a while. The one fast food place I actually crave every now and then.
Nearest one is in Tallahassee, so I make it a point to stop by if I'm near the area.
I know I'm late to the party, but what the shit, anon?
W-why did I get a boner reading this?
Sort of had the same experience. Went to the UK and although the restaurants were larger the food was rather mediocre.
Ate more BLTs than I've ever had in my life while visiting there.
As an Amerifat I am genuinely curious on what this burger place taste like. The only burger place around me is McDonalds and Jack in the Box. I heard this place existed in the west coast, how do they compare to McDonalds?
When you join the military, you swear allegiance to the country. It's not the same as being a citizen, but you serve the country with your whole heart and body - moreso than NEETs like me that were born a citizen.
Have you ever had Hardees? Same thing really. They have nice lean burgers that aren't frozen(I think) and are slightly seasoned. They have a lot of different things but the buns are what make the burgers. They have really good buns. I don't know what they are but they are one of the top burger buns to me personally. It's just a decent burger. Their fries fucking suck though.
It really can't be compared to a McDicks burger. It's bigger than the quarter pounder with better meat and a better bun. It's a 7.5/10 burger as far as fast food burgers go.
I liked burg imouto more
I've lived in Dallas all my life and Whataburger is the most overrated shit. The only time it's any good is in the middle of the night and they have to cook it fresh, any other time and you're paying too much.
premise is old man + loli with magical bullshit thrown in. the only interesting part being the old man. the 2 eps following it are loli + yuyushiki not really much to talk about other than thats cute and shilling. suffering might ensue next ep but its completely failed to deliver old man.
I've been enjoying this show, but burgs are serious business.
I live in the test market for DD, and it's even worse here. Total dougnut island. There are 3 non-DD stores in the state and they are not close to each other. One is a food truck only operation, 1 you have to either place an order a day in advance or stand in line at 6 AM, and the third is way out of the fucking way near the damn coast and takes almost an hour to get there from most areas of the state due to the shit roadways.
I hate Dunkin Donuts doughnuts, they are total shit compared to the real deal.
McDonald's in Tokyo is the best mostly because they have a huge variety of sides you can replace fries in a combo with. Hell, you can even get 4 chicken nuggets, that's meat and that must cost them a lot more than those potatoes.
The point of fast food is so you can get something quickly when you are in a rush not everyone has time to sit down at a restaurant or make a meal for themselves. Of course too much of anything is bad for you.
That's only part of the equation. The American food industry is just plain unhealthy - from the cultivation of plants, the living conditions of animals, the processing of ingredients, the subsidies to farms, the processed and packaged meals which are of abundance etc.
Maybe Americans are fat with poor impulse control but the environment they deal with in terms of food culture and what is available makes it very difficult for the average Joe to break out of. Just look at HFCS and its near ubiquity in almost all food stuffs american and the many unhealthy correlations associated with it.
>they are the same thing
Some one has never eaten at a Carls Jrs.
Literally nothing but trash even the food
on the other hand Hardee's has fucking outstanding citizens and classical East coast values with top quality cuisine
Carls Jrs is just west coast trash
I think not
No fucking way.
>an entire days worth of calories
Nigga what? Most of the sandwiches are like 250 to 600 cals on their own, and even the big fat guy specialty combos are usually only like 1200. For the average guy that's half your daily intake at most
>implying Carl's Jr. isn't burger kino
I live in Vegas and I've eaten there about twice in 10 years. They got a good burger, but it just feels like you're killing yourself in there. When I can, I grab in-n-out or a fat burger. Steak and Shake is pretty good as well, but the wait times a killer.
I don't think I've had a burger in over a decade. I suppose this thread is motivating me to go try one soon.
Filthadelphia. I just don't eat beef much.
I'm trying to eat less meat and more vegetables/fruit but I can't help but order meat. How the shit do you do it?
>Eating Hardee's/Carl Juniors
It is disgusting and unhealthy as fuck.
McDonald's is healthy compared to that shit.
Only eat at local/regional burger shops.
Interesting the ones on the west coast come with a green one. wonder if theres any real difference.
>Comparing sit down restaurants vs fast food chains
That is like comparing apples to oranges. It's completely different.
I haven't had a burger in 2 years.
I feel like eating a sandwich from a local Italian deli has more bang for my buck. More slices of meat as well.
I stopped going to my local Subways years ago when I noticed my subs were more lettuce and mayo than slices of meat.
Trust me, a deli sandwich is just a bigger burger except without the beef patty.
Fuck, the nips seem to really like Carls. Maybe Pizza Hut will make their big comeback with the new Code Geass.
Don't know if true but I heard that in Northern California, there is more Japanese immigrants, hence why Japanese restaurants in Northern California are more authentic than the ones in Southern California which are mainly run by Chinese or Korean owners.
San Francisco is an expensive shithole though.
Japan doesn't cheap out on burger ingredients.
Remember that Halloween black colored burger in America?
In America, they just used black food coloring but in Japan, they actually used squid ink.
Carls Jr is just a burger chain that is neither really hated or loved.
Online, you can find people talking shit about McDonalds, Burger King, Wendy's, etc but no one really argues about Carls Jr even on >>>/ck/.
Carls Jr just seems to exist to be Neutral and I guess that is kinda impressive if you think about it.
It's weird because I got warned for that veteran comment yesterday that got deleted, which was actually on topic and about a character in the show, but this entire completely off topic thread is still here. Wasn't a ban so I don't really care, but still.
Maybe the mods are just really fat fucks.
>no mention of pic related
Shit taste the lot of you.
Red Burrito was a name made up by CKE for the Hardee's version of Green Burrito while they were still trying to push the lie that Carl's Jr. and Hardee's would remain distinctly separate chains.
>Like how weirdos call soda "pop"
That's what it's called, you scum.
>Like how weirdos call soda "pop"
I'll fucking fight you.
>Actually defending calling soda "pop"
You got a death wish motherfucker?
Save your bellyaching for Satan, you pigs
>Not calling carbonated beverages prickly bubbly yumyums.
I'm really uneasy about this sort of product placement in anime because I'm afraid people over there will actually be prompted to try it out and find it bad.
Anyone else prone to acute Fremdschämen?
I'm afraid the only one headed to greet Satan is you, Your blasphemy against soda will not go unpunished.
Speaking of which it always weirds me out when I'm playing a VN and they use the term "PET bottle". Where else in the world does this, never heard them called that in America.
>referring to something by the sound it makes
Nah /r/aznidentity is where I post now, /r/asianmasculinity is a thing of the past.
Stay woke my brothers and sisters, though the white coloniser is a slippery and cowardly beast, it is still possible to decolonize your mind.
