I don't get it. After season 1, why do they want the viewer to sympathize with demons? Azazel was the worst in S1, too.
Yeah fuck demons ! All hail our glorious new king Charioce "the handsome" XVII !
Is it telling that the king in the last season was Charioce XIII and his successor 10 years later is Charioce XVII. He must have killed at least two maybe even four generations of siblings to get himself on the throne in his early 20s.
It only proves he's the best at his job
Didn't you hear ? Angels are apostates and do not represent the one true God, who chose our king, His Majesty Charioce, as our king.
Thus they're not worth much more than demons
1An evil spirit or devil, especially one thought to possess a person or act as a tormentor in hell.
‘he was possessed by an evil demon’
‘each of the damned souls was guarded by a group of hideous demons’
1.1 A cruel, evil, or unmanageable person.
‘I was a little demon, I can tell you’
1.2 A powerful, often destructive compulsion or obsession.
‘he is plagued by demons which go back to his childhood’
1.3 Something very insidious and harmful.
‘the demons of injustice, bigotry, and exploitation’
as modifier ‘the demon drink’
1.4mass noun Reckless mischief; devilry.
‘his eyes are bursting with pure demon’
t. Oxford dictionary
What´s he thinking about ? Must be something really important with face that smug.
Is he gonna breed the dragon after dancing ? Is his last game creating a super race of half dragon/half human ?
It just doesn't make sense. Sure it's horrible that the demons are treated badly, but it's not like they wouldn't enslave humans and angels if they had succeeded with their plans 10 years prior to virgin soul.
Is this your first anime, kid?
Your mistake is assuming that your definition of demon exactly fits the race presented in the show's world. The same type of bullshit that makes people complain when dragons aren't defined exactly as they are in D&D. For fuck's sake, the very first moments of the first show have fucking Satan sacrificing himself to save the world. Pay attention you dip.
>so what is the source of all of our problems ?
>who is good at killing demons ?
>the guys who do fuck all but putting gold in their palace while we get fucked all day as soon as there is a problem ?
>alright watch this
How is he so based ? My dick is literally standing up to witness his greatness every time he appears. Truly the chief humanity needed
Lucifer is a title meaning Bringer of Light and has been used in the Bible to refer to multiple characters, depending on the book and most recently to Jesus himself in Revelation.
He's obviously going to try to use her to some end.
Kaiser clearly feels like the king and his policies are wrong, but he's all about muh duty. Favaro's role in this season is probably going to be kicking Kaiser in the ass until he gets his shit together and saves Nina.
Why is Nina so lewd yet cute at the same time?
Nah, I'm just saying that they could have come up with someone easier to sympathize with than Azazel. Some random law abiding new character demon. In S1 Azazel hated humans and his fellow demons, so it's bizarre from him to feel wronged. It feels totally out of place.
This thread feels like /pol/ but with Demon & Human Supremacist instead.
>But this isn't about elves.
Everything that isn't human must die
TLDR to end racism, you just need more racism
>has been used in the Bible
No, it has been used in the NT.
In Hebrew the title is "Hillel ben Shachar".
>get a bag of money to make advertisement for a card game
>MC looks like this
>somehow create one of the best fantasy series in recent years
Jeanne in Bahamut isn't French! She was never captured by any Burgundians either, nor canonized by the Catholic Church! I guess that puts the idea of Bahamut as a documentary to rest. What a grievous error!
He's being far too extreme and that always generates enemies. Had he just been killing angels and demons he'd be a more likeable character, but throw in slavery and you have a valid reason for someone rebel against you.
>the best fantasy series in recent years
It absolutely is. Shit, there are people basing their lives on a translated and edited edition of the book without ever reading the original. There are parts arbitrarily left out of the Bible because they didn't fit the narrative.
>Fund second season that's twice as long
Honest to god I think the guys at Cyganes are just fucking excited that they get to have an anime made of their world
Azazel is a demon. It just so happens demons are now on the low end and he wants to fight for them and get revenge on humans. It doesn't really change who and what he is.
Don't forget the fact that it was spoken from father to sun generations before it was written into these hulking things.
I feel sorry for the innocent demons but no sympathy for Azazel at all. He shouldn't be the one fronting the cause, it almost makes me not give a shit about the others with how much I want him to suffer for hypocrisy.
well there was another series planned, but it got cancelled
Jeanne's locked up somewhere and Favaro will make his way into the plot eventually.
Well shit, what changed? We just went from 4:3 to 16:9. All the best actual fantasy shows are old at this point.
This is my wife, say something nice about her.
We all like Favaro and would choke on his dick if he asked but goddamn man chill, he'll get here. He already got his go at being MC and it was great, and now they're doing something else. Don't try to turn Bahamut into some 500 episode status quo Inuyasha bullshit show.
>but it's not like they wouldn't enslave humans and angels if they had succeeded with their plans 10 years prior to virgin soul.
You mean only one, Beelzebub. No other demons were scheming to enslave humanity or anything like that. And even Beelzebub himself was being manipulated by a fucking human.
>muh Azazel is evil, he killed humans
>angel is helping him
there were a few, but year. fantasy has branched out a lot more into urban fantasy, isekai and whatnot stories as opposed to pure classical fantasy.
It'll give me enough time to enjoy the demon rape
>anyone who turns into a demon turns into a complete asshole
>demons are all assholes
>torture for fun and other atrocities is socially acceptable between demons
>they are basically evil given form
>angels call themselves "gods", when they are actually just false apostles, don't even communicate with the Lord
>so incompetent they got cucked by their own fucking sword
The king is doing nothing wrong. Demons deserve to die, false angels deserve to die. All heresy must be vanquished in name of the Jesus Cristo our Lord.
>Is it a good series? Do I need to watch it to watch this season?
Yes. You don't, but you really should.
The roleplaying in this thread is so cringy.
Virgin Souls takes place ten years after the end of season 1, and a lot of the characters who are going to show up are from season 1. It's only 12 episodes so you could get through it before the next episode of Virgins Soul airs.
>>anyone who turns into a demon turns into a complete asshole
You mean turned into a demon by the Martinet potion? Which also just so happened to serve as a mind control device? While demonized Jeanne was killing the archangels other demons were trying to seal Bahamut, dipshit.
He did not care because demons were left alone to their own devices. He just so happens to hold humans in a even lower regards so seeing them stomp over demons pisses him off. It's understandable.
Therefore we must kill the angels too
What the fuck is even going on in this thread?
That only proves that angels and demons conspire together against humanity and must be destroyed
No you retard, he mind controlled his victims. He was an inherently evil human himself and to drive the point home it's his human from that's being shown gazing upon the destruction brought by Bahamut.
Last I checked Charoice has been destroying them left and right, and in their own turf no less
>His eyes had two different colors.
So did Michael. But Michael's eyes weren't given any special attention, while here his left, red eye is being featured prominently. Maybe it's connected to his powers.
>short haired knight woman
People aren't ready for older Favaro yet.
I want to feel Nina's exquisite dragon vaginal walls contract around me.
Now I know fore sure he's ugly on purpose
Sounds like pure evil and a perfect justification to eliminate that evil.
Surely no time in human history has "demonic" or "satanic" been exploited to describe "things I don't like" and drum up zealotry.
It's not like half of the named demons in this very show originally took their names from babylonian gods and shit that Christtianity wanted to demonize or anything so people wouldn't worship them. That'd be crazy!
Virgin Soul first episode wasn't as hype as Genesis but it's a decent start. HFY pales in comparison to everyone fighting off Bahamut, though.
That would not only be a crime of lèse-majesté, but also against beauty itself
what does this have to do with hypocrisy? the humans are enslaving his kin so he's trying to save them, he has said it himself that he wants to restore the order of things, the order of things has always been demons opressing humans
I don't think this is portraying Azazel as a good guy, it just means he cares about his kind
He isn't though. I don't know how people are thinking this. Whether he's going to come back or not is a different story.
> But demons need to be eradicated.
The king isn't eradicating the demons, the memeposters in these threads are even dumber than this show's plot is. They're used as slave labor, though not for everything evidently since we see where Nina is working, and random personal slaves for no particular reason. Also demon ghettos exist too for some reason.
The plot actually needs some sort of big dumb overarching prophecy/cause to lift it out of how inherantly stupid it is.
>He tortured a five-year-old
Jesus all of this thread needs to rewatch the first fucking season. The five year old thing was a lie concocted by Lavalley/Martinet/Giles. Amira was a clone of her mother and for all Azazel knew she was a full grown female demon. He even called her a traitor for stealing the god key.
The thing that confuses me is that Charioce invaded hell and heaven or whatever, just for the benefit of the capital. Not the entire country, just the fucking capital. There might be more to it but from what we know so far the country outside the capital hasn't gotten shit from Charioce's campaigns.
Nah, i can't believe Bahamut is the keikaku master. He is just brainless invincible dragon. And he doesn't need to push his resurrection when there are psychos like Gilles.
They both are fallen angels.
They have as many slaves are there is demand for, they aren't handed out for free to anyone and not everyone even would even want to use slaves, since it showed the sympathetic painter from the get-go. The rest are still in hell, I tried to point this out.
This conflict seriously can't last for long so the bigger issue and the plot's core is that is that all of hell and heaven is still incapacitated.
I doubt anyone outside the capital knows exactly what charioce is doing and would rise up against him if they knew. Seeing that Nina is from some backwater dragon village, the rest of the world must be consisting of some backwater what-not-villages who are clueless.
>Also demon ghettos exist too for some reason
Azazel has been freeing slaves for a while, where do you think they go? We don't know whether or not they can run back to hell.
>why do they want the viewer to sympathize with demons?
You don't have to sympathize/agree with Azazel to understand why he's doing what he's doing.
Man we really need the OP to scream at the audience that it's supposed to be an attempt at a grey morality conflict again this time, huh?
What are vampires and devils doing when king pretty boy does all this crap?
Feel like they're being left alone for now because a large, organized army is only really made for taking out more of the same. Small pockets of monsters here and there probably aren't much of a concern
No he's right. There is literally a scene where Beelzebub rips a fully grown Amira straight from her "mother". A lot of people seem to forget about this and go along with the lie that she's a five year old girl who suffered form accelerated aging.
To be fair, anime is pretty devoid of good raw-fantasy series.
Before people start posting fantasy anime they like, remember that hundreds of shows come out each year, and of the small percent of those which are fantasy, and even smaller amount are tolerable, much less "good".
It is really wierd how much passion and fun seems to be put into this series though. A mobage card game adaptation is basically the last place you'd expect that from.
Regardless where the inspiration comes from, the only thing that matters to me is that the end product is enjoyable. SnB was probably the biggest surprise for me back when it aired, and I'm glad its got a second season.
Just hoping we get FAVAROOOOOOOOO at some point.
>Listen to lyrics
>Song is about wasting your life and accomplishing nothing and how no one warned you that life would burn up without you noticing
Bahamut you are a fantasy anime, you're supposed to let me escape my shit life not remind me how I fucked it up
Reminder that nothing escapes the Vatican's eyes.
Reminder that infinity chan has /christian/ with steady userbase of 300.
>thousands of great characters in game
>they make anime original pretty boys anyways
Fucking Mappa holy shit.
I'm pretty sure he was just a very androgynous male.
>based Mappa saving anime, lolifags finally btfo
I am here
I think you're thinking of the OP director anon.
>It is really wierd how much passion and fun seems to be put into this series though.
indeed, even characters which appear for 2 mins max in the whole series show emotions and motivations
my only complain is the editing is so bad sometimes it makes the awesome linework unreadable
>the anime is popular just like the mobage because it appeals to men and women
>oppai lovers and DFC fans
>shotas and lolis
>demons and goddesses
Mappa better keep making more and more seasons of this.
The sequel wants to explore ground the original didn't, that ground happens to be sympathetic demons.
Though Azazel being the front character was definitely a mistake. They needed to introduce someone who wasn't already an unrepentant murderer.
It's not like the universe has stopped shitting all over him or that he's not an asshole about it.
He's not the protag, Nina is. He's just the frontman for the demon resistance.
I spent yesterday's night watching it, it was pretty amazing. Great characters and mindblowing production. Just thinking that this one is 24 eps instead of 12 makes me feel warm and fuzzy.
I think the idea is to show us that maybe Azazel is slightly more than just a random psychopath. It also serves to really emphasise how fucked up Charicoe really is for S1 viewers. "this is shit that even fucking Azazel wouldn't do"
No, they wouldn't. Most demons are perfectly happy to stay in their owm realm. Also, in RoB, being a demon doesn't make you evil. In the game there are plenty of evil humans and gods, as well as plenty of good demons. Hell, the current ruler of the demons, Lucifer, isn't evil at all. Speaking of... WHERE THE FUCK IS LUCIFER?
Nina makes great faces
Bacchus is going to force her to pay for living in his house, right ? And since she does not have any money...
Does Lavalleyfag from S1 still frequent?
I have a doujin.
>human race is toyed with and viewed as insignificant, so you fuck up the other ruling races to bring prosperity to humans
>implying that the king hasn't done great things for humanity
There's nothing wrong with enslaving demons. They're not even human! I don't feel bad for the horses that work on farms, why should I feel bad for some goblin fuckers?
Human race comes first.
He was pretty dilf before he got too suspicious.
No one remember her already save for 1-2 lunatic.
Luna is the new hotness.
>Mappa in charge of the plot
It's going to be terrible isn't it?
Not much to post before dicks are out. It's this one
>read about older RoB events
>Vania gets angry and destroy a giant castle with no effort
Jesus, why are we watching a series about a bunch of weak nobodies?
Doesn't that just mean that we just have to remove both angels and demons?
>Where she is also one of the best 2pp cards in game
I barely see any Vampy nowadays, everyone is playing kys blood or sneks.
>In RoB she has a PWR 42 card, Bahamut is PWR 45.
>love Forest art design
>hate the mechanics of flooding the board
Also, I really don't like the evolution mechanic and I wish the board was bigger.
I really want to like Shadowverse, but it's making it hard for me.
>2 videos set between Genesis and Virgin Soul?
There's more than S1?
They're like a full episode together though.
You know how it's kinda retarded to say you shouldn't feel bad for some starving Ethiopian kid because American groids are rioting in the streets over how oppressed they are while wearing brand clothes?
Do you think it's less retarded to say "Azazel clonked some fuckers' bonkers when they were trying to steal him, and that means every demon everywhere, women and children too, needs to be imprisoned, mutilated, and then either worked to death, forced to fight to the death in an arena, or turned into a stuffed classroom decoration"?
Demons dindu nuthin
They be good boys
It's more retarded.
The female demons are at least kinda hot.
>Demons live to kill humans
>Humans have to turn to the Gods to save them
>The Gods do
>Humanity gains the power to crush demons
Why am I suppose to feel bad for demons? Giving demons equal rights will just result in more human deaths and you can bet your ass humans are more human than demons.
Long Live Charioce. Conquer the terror and raze heaven till it comes to Earth
They have used humans and kept them subjugated doing the bare minimum to maintain their power.
Humans have enslaved demons and broken free from the slavery of angel and now war is coming!
>not removing every seingle fucking demon out there
>angels using humans is wrong
>but humans using animals is totally fine
Fuck off Cheerios apologist. There's nothing wrong with superior species using lesser ones. That's the circle of life, rewatch the lion king.
THE NATION CALLS FOR DEMON GENOCIDE
It's easy to tell when charioceposting comes from another board.
I think they BTFO the cute dragon girl more often than not by making her wet her panties.
>exclusively sitting on a single board
can someone give me a quick summary if the first season and how it ended
i mean i watched it all when it aired but i kinda forgot what happened in the last couple of episodes
>Favaro has the beard
>LaValley is there
Ghosts and zombies please go.
Well, it's not that strange. Gilles isn't dead, just sealed up in a tablet, so I suppose he could come back. All he needs is King Kill Em All to blow up wherever they store those things.
This represents some game mechanic, right?
Wow that's... that's kinda grim, man
>Azazel: I killed your father
>Kaiser: No you didn't Favaro did
>Azazel: We must free the proletariat from their bourgeois oppressors
>Kaiser: Look man just live your life
what the fuck happened. Azazel did not give a single fuck about other demons
Actually, I might be misremembering it or maybe I just read that on /a/. I don't remember it all that well. But also, if demons can have children, then those are natural-born demons.
Well he got pretty fucked up at the end of S1
I thought he was a new character. Wearing rags, being ghetto trash etc. How the mighty have fallen. I regret even looking up this thread because I would have noticed it in one of the next few episodes and the effect of recognizeng the character would have been much greater and more satisfying.
Azazel rescued Kaisar when he had no reason to do so. He said it was because he wanted to deal with them personally but never followed through with that intention. Instead, the side material says he rescued Favaro when Bahamut exploded in his face.
Last episode had Kaisar reacting to him, if you still didn't catch the identity of the rag demon by then, the episode made it clear they (the guy in the colosseum and the rag demon) are the same person. This episode had his name mentionned several times in case you still missed it. It's not something that's meant to be discovered, it's supposed to be bloody obvious otherwise you won't even understand the conflict between him and Kaisar and why is that dynamic important.
I never said it was subtle. I just said their presentation is very different in S1 and S2 so it didn't really connect in my brain. It was just humuorous for me that turning a powerful and mighty overlord character into ghetto trash had such an effect on me being unable to recgonize the character.
What exactly is happening here? What a nasty attitude to have, to feel the need to expose people in some way. If you want a partner in crime to stop the thread from dying there are better alternatives.
She has been enslaved to
perform puppet shows for the fat, spoiled children of nobles.
I've met at least one demon who's pretty alright.
