I'd love to get a good realistic wartime SoL/drama. How a cast of varied characters spend their lives when not fighting, them dealing with psychological trauma, starting new friendships, preparing for battles, etc.
Most anime either tell about fantasy/sci-fi wars, or focus on children/civilians.
There is so much potential they are losing.
