the one chick talks a lot I was pretty bored early on when she was giving exposition but the fight was neat love the animation and sound design the BANG from attacks had real weight imo.
What does the "Re" in Re:Creators and other Isekai anime stand for?
Okay okay, this is going to sound crazy, but here me out guys. What if, what fucking if, I have sex with an anime character, and she gets pregnant? Would it be half-2D half-3D? Would we wind up with a society of miscegenated 2.5D bug-eyed moe happas? What if I'm the creator too? Is my child now an inseparable part of my creation? What if it goes back? Do I have to write my child into my own story? What if I, the creator, go back into my own world with my family?
being mameca is suffrage
I was skeptical, but they really are sidelining Mr.Normal and having all the isekai characters duke it out. It's surprisingly fun.
Plus Meteora has a nice infodumping voice.
>The infodumping was really fucking terrible. 0/10 first half.
Why, they talked about what they could do in this world. If it wasn't for that they'd probably end up attending school and getting jobs in the end.
A lot of it was meaningless padding.
Does anybody else find it disconcerting how quickly the girls adapted to the real world despite it being so different to their own worlds?
inb4 Mamika does a Madoka and travels to all possible worlds to help save them.
>Not sure why he's even in the series
He is shit, but this doesn't make any sense. He is clearly an important plot piece. The sudoku girl in the OP/start of episode 1 is obviously related to him, and the fact that chuuni knows him is also absolutely relevant.
Not really; they seem like very intelligent and level-headed people. And I think that's the point, that they're real people with self-awareness rather than just one dimensional characters-- despite the fact that they're fictional characters.
I hope we'll see characters from other kinds of shows make a cameo at some point. There are many fun things that can be done with this setting.
Knowing how to cycle a bike is a bit much though.
Red got lucky and met up with Hybrid Theory early.
Red probably did the proper freakout when Meteora briefed her about the world from her book. If Red never met her, she'll probably still be a bit disoriented, granted, probably not as bad as Madoka.
I'm disappointed there's no culture shock. It's just "Meteora's magical book told them everything offscreen, here's a montage with exposition."
I wanted more fish out of water situations but I'm assuming the girls the MC met just happened to be very adaptable due to the genres they came from and their roles. Lancer seems more like the type to have a culture shock.
To think that such a thin little black bar can make something appear so much, much more erotic.
What if the real Rei Hiroe is actually dead. Killed by Revy when she jumped into our world, and his replacement is Rock. That's why Black Lagoon hasn't been updated. Rock doesn't have the talent to pull it off, but he's Japanese, so he can pretend to be Hiroe so that nobody finds out.
If youre smart enough its piss easy to blend in. Do you think that you would have a lot of trouble blending into a world if you were an isekai character? Unless there are some completely illogical customs you'd do fine as well. Especially in our world were cosplaying etc is normal so you dont even stand out for wearing armor and a sword.
I would like to think she's that naive.
I think that's what the majority are thinking.
Some Chuuni facts. She can enter other worlds, but she's not the one pulling people into our world. Red was pulled in by the MC, Magik Missle said Chuuni met her when she first appeared in this world.
She was fighting Red in the anime the MC was watching on his ipad before being pulled into Red's world. That means either she's manipulating the stories herself, or it was a performance just for the MC.
She recognized the MC when she first saw him, but was still surprised to see him. That implies she wasn't the one to pull the MC over, but she is connected to him.
MC doesn't recognize her. He recognizes every other character being brought over, except the one who knows him.
It really looks like Chuuni is MC's sister creation, and MC's sister is still alive and manipulating things in order to get all these characters involved with the MC.
>It really looks like Chuuni is MC's sister creation, and MC's sister is still alive and manipulating things in order to get all these characters involved with the MC.
Someone wants to save the MC
>it's not trying to mock the anime industry in a humorous way
It very much is, though
Now that I think about it, if the MC-kun's world is an anime and he's unaware of that, is it possible that we're also living in an anime? Could we be the moe-moe idealized 3D versions of 4D humans who lust after us and create their own dojins of us fucking, kind of like how we do the same thing to our creations.
Yeah exactly. the point here is to show that they're not just dumb characters, that just like a real person can imagine and understand all of their worlds from the stories, they could understand another world too.
>intelligent and level-headed
No that's just the power of offscreen magic book
There is not much culture shock because those stories are actually built to be easily accessible for the japanese and by people without much imagination, so their culture is actually quite similar and their language is exact the same as modern japanese.
That Travis guy looks like a bad person.
Technically no. Reverse isekai would be something like Hataraku Maou-sama, where the MC comes from a fantasy world to the real world. In this case, the MC's not going anywhere, but fantasy characters are coming to him.
I still think it would have been fun if one of the characters was from a Western series.
Who would have been a good match?
I actually think there is less of a culture shock than what you might imagine.
All while Selesia might wield a sword and her world might have prominent castles in use and stuff. It's still a world robotics, computer-like gear, and other various technologies and infra structure. It's not some backwards medieval place. It looks more like a past meets future setting, which would probably make our present, land somewhere around the average of her world in terms of culture or advancements.
And Meteora is literally a sage librarian shut-in that has spent her entire life reading about worlds, her own and others. What she knows of her own world is likely through her books as well. So learning about our world through books is likely no different.
That rival/last boss guy also looks like he is straight out of not-Persona or something. Which is basically a slightly crazier version of our world. So while he may be stupid, I doubt it's much of a culture shock.
Mamika was breaking down though. She couldn't handle it.
In Red and Meteoras case, not really, and they did have a large chunk of the episode dedicated to a magical girl freaking out when she realized the world wasn't just like her anime.
>oh shit characters are coming to fight each other
>it's muh grail war aside from the fact that many other shows include characters coming to fight each other
I understand why even the Japanese hate the Fatefags that keep on talking about it in this show.
>bunch of powerful fictional characters being summoned into the real world to fight, with sol hijinks
I wonder why.
They are magic. Some magic bullshit going down isnt going to be as big a surprise to them as it is to us. The blue haired one even said that they can create new worlds in her own world.
Is there no gif/webm of that pan yet? The stitch has an unfortunate flaw.
She'd have a meltdown at R-18 Pixiv huh.
Picture not related?
Earthmelia just isn't Asian. It's not like Selesia is an Asian that looks Western or anything. She comes from a world that was modelled after Europe so she looks European.
Is Japan making stories in European or European-like settings mocking the anime industry?
I mean there is plenty of self-parody. But I don't get how featuring foreigners is related.
MC's catgirl is on the screen in the ED. He's going to have to create her in order to save the day.
You are obviously picking the wrong girl.
>but she's not the one pulling people into our world.
Not sure if you can conclude that yet, she was already in wait for Meteora. She could be talking the truth there and MC was just carried by her through his tablet when she jumped just before (which might obviously be related to her if he is the one who drew her).
I'm okay with this. Reds creator deserves to be with his waifu.
*blocks your magical attacks*
A series will occasionally acknowledge that it exists but it's generally avoided because few people enjoy stories about it.
Okada shoehorned a menstruation subplot into DtB S2 but that's just because Okada is crazy.
Except Selesia is apparently a princess or some sort of royalty, and a battle hardened one at that. She's not from a place remotely similar to a busy modern day japanese city where people go about everyday relatively mundanely and/or peacefully and isn't threatened by mecha battles regularly.
>Be deviantart autist
>Quietly living life away on NEETbucks jacking off to shitty crayon drawings of weird ass fart shit or whatever
>OC's get isekai'd into our world
>They drag their creators into their own twisted imagination worlds and subject them to nightmare versions of their own fetishes for all eternity.
>The strain on the welfare system is lifted, the economy is doing better, and humanity gets a built-in form of eugenics.
I hope Kamille appears next episode, she's got my heart already.
Right now we're on the "I'm glad nobody has drawn porn of me, but still feel insulted somehow, orz" train.
That would be great
>character finds porn of themselves and freaks out
>others gather around and look up their own porn as well, just to confirm
>last character has absolutely no porn whatsoever and feels even worse about it than the others
yumachin would show that red girl who's boss
Why would you kill yourself over having good taste?
So... Wish authors would die if his creation come to real world to hunt him?
I bet Carlo Zen would be killed by Tanya AND Being X.
Black Lagoon - character designer
Fate/Zero - director
Troyca - studio
That's the connection.
There's no one blasting shit about Black Lagoon in the story. Only retarded Fateshits.
I knew the character designs looked familiar.
I have the strangest feeling you have a deviantart account. What's wrong degenerate, afraid of the consequences for your sinful lust?
We're fast friends by now.
I want a character from an ecchi series to be brought to our world only to realise that things are nowhere near as lewd in reality as they are in her world.
New Episode and people seem to like it.
Lancer will be healed by Mamika's smile.
A whole lotta dollar bills. And it seems to have worked unfortunately.
I still don't get why she wasn't Joan of Arc,
that would have saved the franchise so much trouble down the road.
Would All Fiction work in the real world?
"Sugoi! A whole universe of human friends. Now Kaban doesn't have to be alone."
Are you ready for 20 more episodes, anon? All aboard the meta train!
Saber doesn't fit Joan of Arc at all though. With her personality or her having a holy sword and everything.
If anything the logical scenario was that Saber was an unknown daughter of Arthur or something.
I actually feel like the biggest shortcoming of this show is the fact that every creation is a combat character from some action series. It would have been nice to get a cute slice-of-life character or mascot character or something else non-combat focused to hang around as well.
Friends are too good for this world.
Ah, that's it. Thanks anon. I was only just told what it stood for in last weekend's thread and I somehow forgot.
Creations will come to accept that they exist to be used by their creators and true love will flourish between man and fictional woman, and many other fictional men, at once, and fictional orc, and fictional doberman, and fictional tentacle slime
It gave them a lot of recognition for pulling such a bold twist. And they might not have wanted to h-scene a holy virgin.
Jeanne got a better design anyways.
I completely agree. I want a cute daughteru like Yotsuba to show up and be adorable in the downtime moments that follow the fighting. I can already see her smiling on a swingset in a playground that was ruined an hour earlier from mamika and red's fight.
She was originally going to be male and changed her to appeal to otaku for sales. It worked but society has progressed in such a way that now male king arthur is profitable for them too.
I hope they make use of this anime character bites the cold hard bullet of reality theme they have going on. It's really fucking interesting from a character development standpoint.
>society has progressed
Nigga, shoujo and otome stuff was always profitable. The original scenario with male King Arthur and female Shirou was made around being a female-targeted story and was scrapped because the premise lent itself much better to an action-focused battle story with vestigial romance than a romance story with vestigial action.
I think it means that not only the laws of physics are different but also information theory, in that in this world it's possible to have more levels of information complexity than it was in her world.
YOU CREATED ME!!!
YOU CREATED THE BEING X!!
YOU MADE ME A PROTAGONIST OF ALL MY MISFORTUNE!!
WHAT A HONOR!!
THIS IS TIME FOR 'THE END' !!!"
Yeah, I really want there to be a character that's an otaku. So he already knows what anime is and what the anime tropes are, so he gets the appeal and knows about otaku MCs also, but he then learns that he himself is an otaku MC.
Alright /a/. It's bartering time.
What could these two fine young ladies do for you in exchange for food and shelter?
You forgot, "AND YOU VIOLATED THE NAP"
Also if you think about it, since existance-X is a creation of the author, from a literary analysis standpoint, you could reasonably conclude that the author is actually existence-X.
In what way? Or are you just name-dropping your shitty MC self-insert into this anime?
Because if anything, this MC's like Yahiko from Rurouni Kenshin or a TLR's Yuuki Rito that doesn't grope women.
I think we're all forgetting the most dangerous anime character who could possibly end up summoned into the real world.
Or maybe he's the generic genericman that accidentally fucks into summoning a 'legendary' hero into a big clusterfuck that was beyond his knowledge but is secretly somehow tied to it in his backstory. Also 'Voted Most Likely To Become Harem Lead' in his high school yearbook.
I want not Gintoki to appear and do nothing
only mamika had culture shock because shes a literal retard kids show protagonist who thinks that solving shit by hitting your foes with beam spam will instantly make them befriend you.
she also realised that her beam spam is fucking over buildings.
How would she react to learning that there's an entire alternate universe Japan full of people that know of both her undercover obsession with little sister hentai games and her incestual relationship with her brother?
She's an amalgam of many things. The character design and name is an obvious throwback to Madoka.
The shit about collateral damage and 'usually' not making things bleed is clearly jabbing nanoha
And there's obvious references to precure and other mainstream toy commercial shows throughout as well.
This can't be a coincidence right?
I don't think I've ever had a strong case of cultural shock in my travels. I get the occasional awkward moment from disconnect but not mental breakdown tier.
I'd imagine since the characters come from magic worlds, this type of thing isn't that far out there.
Do the physics in her world prevent upskirts?
Remember your shitty fanarts?
Reminder that if you haven't completed it yet, you left a world unfinished.
We all do.
Absolutely disgusting. Little sisters are pure maidens, meant to be protected and not defiled. Now if you'll excuse me, I have some training to do with my sister.
>no girls fall for him
>no girls flock to him
>most ignore him completely
>no girls take a liking to him for being oh so nice
>no girls take a liking to him because he's unremarkable and boring
I need it.
Everyone looks like they have Down's
Paris Syndrome is a thing. In fact it's so common it has a medical name. Nips, particularly nip women, idolize Paris for some reason. When they visit there and realized it's not literally Cinderella's Castle, they have nervous breakdowns.
>He accidentally brushes up against a 3D girl's boobs on the train to school
>Expects to be hit
>She murmurs and apology for standing too close and turns the other way
>MC's mind is fucking blown.
The common sense in Selesia and Meteora's world isn't that different from ours, plus they have a guide. Ironically Mamika's world is probably pretty much the same culturally as japan, but the common sense is so different that she can't keep up.
I don't buy it
>selestia comes from a place where she regularly gets in a robot to fight some evil organization
>comes to tokyo and meets creator
>he's some balding guy who spends his days fapping and thinking of what type of girl to add to charon's harem next
>and also tokyo is a calm and peaceful place where there are no serious threats to the population like her war torn world
Considering her reaction when Mamika talked about her world, she clearly has issues at the very least with the situation which could have been valid culture shock. And also, the hair colors are all black or brown.
This is not how you befriend people.
>Konosuba cast gets isekai'd
>Darkness becomes the bottom in an underground Japanese BDSM community
Megumin joins ISIS
>Aqua complains to Kazuma who goes back to being a NEET
This, and our reality is starting to break down
The memes are converging, and the singularity will arrive soon
What do you know of friendship?
>So much shit happened this episode.
>Still ends on a cliffhanger with Edge Maverick showing up.
>There's still a bunch of characters not introduced.
>Speculation is running thin now.
>Have to wait seven days for another episode.
I-I can wait, I once waited four hours for a ten minute consultation.
All of the characters in general are really androgynous.
Even Red has barely any curves half the time. If it weren't for the boob window she'd pass for a trap. It's just a consequence of the show's art direction.
Does this look like an unstable sociopath to you?
It's absolutely how you befriend people
>Even tells her about politics and shit
so she will know for now that every mayor nation is somehow aware about they and their capacities and if she/all doesn't do anything now in six month they will be either ded/disected/in experimental chambers in EEUU/Russia/Europe/China/Japan
same for the creators
What the hell actually triggers violent reactions to cultural differences?
Are some people unable to comprehend that others think differently from them or something? Is it expectations?
They call him Poodle Slayer.
>You don't believe my holopsicon is truly omnipotent?
>What about now that you're a girl? Do you believe it?
>Escalates things after 20 seconds of conversation
She is the definition of unstable.
