started out nicely but both Manga and Anime endings suck hard

author can create interesting scenarios and characters, but can't into story for shit.

Have all volumes, really a fun ride, first half is the strongest, the Noah arc was the low point of the story.

And ended very badly. At least Maka was cute.

Overall it's an incredibly stylish shounen that started going down the drain around the time Not! became a thing.
Maka is fucking boring though. She's by far the weakest member of main cast and unworthy partner for a character as cool as Soul.

The ending sucks, and it's rushed, but had and still has some of the best character designs, add to it a pretty stylish art style and nice fight coreography and you get an entertaining shonen.

It wasn't a dream sequence, they both thought about splitting, because they both thought they are not good enough for the other. Soul even got love letters from all kind of girls. Luckily, they realised they are perfect for eachother. And for Blair.

Nothing wrong with liking it. I like it too and I agree with most of your points, the character designs are awesome, the art in general is really unique, and the fight choreographies are some of the best in shonen. I also liked all of the cast and I think it managed to stay good for like 90% of its run. The ending was meh, but I never expected a battle shonen to have a good ending to begin with so it wasn't disappointing for me.

I liked it up until Medusa killed Arachne. I also didn't like how Medusa's story was concluded and that her relationship with Stein went nowhere. Her and Stein were huge wasted potential.

Also that fucking ending. The author wasted this series and split his attention to make that pile of shit Soul Eater Not.

The Black Star became the best or second best character by the end. all of his arcs after the sword are awesome. Chrona was excellent and the final was awesome. Medusa was fun and had the best feet in any anime or manga, Kishin kinda felt pointless. Eibon arc was boring outside the Excalibur portions. Baba was probably the height of series, though Black Blood wasn't bad. Stupid ending.

I loved it but I wouldn't read the whole thing again, just the choice portions

It's not as good as the anime up to 4 or 5 episodes before the end, then the manga becomes way better. A shame it ended so quickly, I really wish it went on a much longer.
Loved the character, loved the art, loved the humor, the universe was good and original. Loved the overwhelming number of references.

I enjoyed both the manga and the anime, even with the meh endings.

Black Star was probably my favorite and least favorite character. All of his fights were incredibly well done, but I really hated his character and motivation.

I really liked the art, characters and the idea itself. The story was also progressing well until some point where it became obvious they're rushing the ending - still it was probably better than dragging it for 100 more chapters. Yet it had quite room for more. One of my favourite overall.
