>Man, HeroAca S2's schedule is insanely good. Episode 20 (S2 ep7) was produced in January
Say that again when they put 2 recaps in the middle of the 2-cour.
Based Bones.
How can Kyoani even compete?
>>155910999
>>155911084
Bones are truly one of the few studios Kyoanifags afraid to go up against. Sasuga Bones! Keep it up, proud of you!
>>155910999
Don't know much of the industry, what's the significance of this?
>>155910999
Can they be stopped?
>>155911173
Usually, episodes are done only a scant few weeks in advance. Days, sometimes. The reason why so many BDs correct animation mistakes is because they were rushed in the first place.
Honestly, I'm just hoping the pacing isn't shot to hell. What chapters was the manga doing in January?
>>155910999
by not being WIT
>4 years for 12 episodes
They outsource their production and cut corners on non sakuga shit. Reuse animation both from the current season, and older series.
>>155912383
why did it take 4 years for SnK S2?
>>155911089
I hope this is ironic but I'm afraid it might not be, because this board is full of /v/tards who think studios compete with each other.
>>155912383
>>155913320
You fucking newshit don't even realize they made 4 different series, movie and OVA during that time
>>155912383
They didn't just spend all those 4 years making SnK s2 you fucking nonce
>>155911089
Yeah, even they have to admit that there is nobody better at fucking up an adaptation than Bones.
Kyoanis anime-only characters can't compete.
>>155913500
Mate, this entire thread is a shitty studiowarrior-bait place.
The OP is just greentexting some twitter-link from the sakugabooru-Bones-fag.
And every reply is some shitty meme that you'd find in all the same studiowarrior-threads.
>>155910999
Trips confirms.
>>155912761
That's Trigger though.
>>155910999

>libocuck3
Stay on twitter.
>>155915751
I bet you didn't even know him.
>>155912323
wait really? I always thought this shit was said and done long before airing, not "we're airing them as fast as we make them"
>>155917037
It always starts being done long before airing. However the final deadline is determined by each episode's airing date. In short, sometimes things can go very wrong because the studio wasn't given enough budget for that production and thus have to start closer to the deadline, or shit happens that make the production late.
In general it's not rare to have the final episodes still being made while the first episodes starts airing on TV, and in some cases it can get worse than that wich will lead to QUALITY and cut corners (like the TV version of Bakemonogatari wich didn't had QUALITY but had entire shots removed because of that in episodes 8 and 9).
So yeah, if they were doing episode 7 in January then it's a good sign that it wasn't rushed.
>>155918466
huh, interesting. it's always neat to hear about these behind the scenes type things
>>155910999
>unironically linking sakuga cartel's twitter
>>155913320
it didn't, they just took SnK popularity for granted and kept pushing it as far it could while chugging other shows.
Fuck you Bones for what you did in AO.There is no excuse. And now youre "remaking" the original Eureka Seven? I guess you just can't be satisfied that E7 had such a nice and happy ending and need to keep shitting on it.
I love Bones. They make a lot of cool shows and all of them have good standards of animation.
>>155917037
Back then up to the late 90s shows used to be animated LIVE.
>>155920019
so that's why all old anime look so bad huh
Bones always does things well in advance, huh? I remember some Heroman episodes being leaked several months in advance.
>>155920396
>he thinks this
>>155920019
Needs more CGI to become a great hit like Kemono Friends.
>>155921840
I hate that that is true.
>>155910999
Bones and madhouse are pretty much the only good studios anymore... Oh and Trigger I guess.
Is Bones the absolute best studio? Kyoani would never be able to handle projects as ambitious as Space Dandy and Mob Psycho.
>>155923833
Well, KyoAni doesn't outsource half of the work like Bones.
Bones is literally the greatest adaptation studio.
>>155923875
Further proof that the dogmatic refusal of outsourcing is stupid.
I do wonder what's the point of trying to post all those bait-posts anymore. Practically no one is biting, and the only ones posting in these kinds of threads are only studiowarriors.
So Bones aside, why don't studios just actually finish animating all of the episodes and then fucking release them? why spend months marketing only having 2 or 3 episodes actually animated, and start rushing like a motherfucker when episode 4 is a week and a half away? this of course isn't as possible with long running series, but getting a good bunch of a 12 or 24 episode series done before release should buy them enough time, am I missing something?
>>155924116
It has its cons and pros, but if you want to compare both studios, it should be on equal ground. Hero Academia 2 already has more outsourcing done to it than the entirety of Nichijou. Do you believe Bones in-house staff alone could do something like Nichijou?
>>155915490
Why are there so many dogs in BONES?
wait...I just answered my own question.
>>155924208
As shit as the shows might be, watch Shirobako and the first half of Girlish Number to get a very rough idea of how studios work with scheduling and how publishers are the ones who often fuck them over.
>>155924208
That's just how the Japanese entertainment industry works.
It's all on an extremely tight schedule, and things have to come out as soon as possible.
A studio will only get the contract to work on a show through their connection and the promise that they can deliver the product in the shortest time at the lowest price.
Thanks to an abundance of anime studios existing, the producers can then simply choose the cheapest and most reliable option.
>>155924208
Money.
Gotta sell those BDs as soon as possible.
>>155924208
Learn about sunk cost fallacy.
>>155926622
Anon, it's not really worth keeping the thread alive. There's no interesting discussion going on.
