It was a good enough VN, but why did you post a blank image, OP?
>>155907433
Tsukihime has shit production values, but the story itself is some of Nasu's best writing. I'd say go for it. People meme about the anime not existing, but it's honestly better than most of the shit that comes out in any given season.

>>155910137

>>155910565
Nasu already set 4 settings:
Fate setting. Servant only. Human history as center.
Tsukihime. DAA only. Something else as the foundation (to be revealed later).
Fake. Has both DAA and Servants.
FGO. Has both and is the ''''center''''. Human history as center (as other Fate worlds). FSN does NOT take place in FGO. Tsukihime does NOT take place here either.
Arc will appear as another cocksleeve for Guda. KnK was different because Nasu likes Maaya and Suzuken (he made her the love interest of his favorite Roman voiced by her husband), while he really doesn't give a shit about Tohno. He only wants SSR Arc.
The writing isn't really good either in Tsukihime so FSN wins again.
Ciel's faces look so awful, Arcu's surprice face wins over me but Akiha has the best character images.
>>155910565
Why would Nanaya be whale bait? He's literally ignored by the fandom. Sion is more a face of Tsukihime franchise after Arc than he.
>>155911054
>no DAAs in Fateverse
Just what is up with this meme? Where does it come from?
>>155911054
I really want FGO to crash and burn. TM and Nasu in particular need to suffer for their hubris of fucking up everything they created for easy money.
>>155911112
Have you been living under a rock, anon? Nasu has separated his universe in two settings. One has Servants, and another DAAs.
You cannot summon Servants in settings where DA become DAA (this understood as their apex of power not muh organization). Likewise, DA don't become DAA level in worlds Servant summoning is possible. Nasu has that shit published and clarified it once more in his blog recently. You should have seen this coming when Sion dies at birth in Fate settings, and her twin sister survives instead. Arc doesn't exist in Fate either (if you see her she's a world hopper). KnK is part of Fate settings, for example.
Fate setting foundation is human history. Tsukihime foundation is to be revealed in the reboot (yes, it's a reboot, not a remake). Anything else you knew previously? It's retconned by his new rules. There are two exceptions: Strange Fake because Narita wanted a crossover and Fate Grand Order. But in the later setting, the new core of Nasuverse, human history is still the focus, but DAAs can appear (we'll find out later why).
I unironically liked the nonexisting anime. It was one of the first that I watched that wasn't kid's anime stuff on TV.
>>155911156
30+ million of dollars revenue every month, anon. And that's the gacha Mahoyo crashed and burn. FGO is highly praised instead.
And this shit was pre-FGO, FGO is the only setting Nasu will write that allows DAA (of course, I'm not sure how they are taken seriously after Goetia fucked everyone up a year ago). Nasu has simply said his fanbase completely misunderstood his works into thinking they are part of a same setting.
>TYPE-MOONの伝奇……というか、奈須きのこがTYPE-MOONでやっている伝奇は『すべて同じ世界』と思われがちですが、それはあくまで基本であって大きく二つの系統に分かれている事は今までちょろちょろ説明してきました。

Tsukihime is a story of Tohno, it won't take place beyond Tsukihime. Arc and other characters can appear in other stories. Like how Gilgamesh does in settings FSN never took place.
DAAs and Arc will show up in FGO eventually. Roa was killed in Dantes' backstory (he destroyed his soul), so Tsukihime events won't take place in FGO. Just like how Marisbilly Animusphere hijacks the Grail War in Fuyuki 2004 defeating all Masters with his Servant. We need to wait how Arc will be here.
Probably weaker, considering Gaia relies on the protection of the Heroic Spirits.
>>155911267
>30+ million of dollars revenue every month
Bullshit.
>>155911342
Here. March earned aproax 2 million more, but I don't have the picture saved.
Sony has said FGO is one of its flagships in Asia Music branch (how mobage are counted) by the way, along with Adele and spotify. That was a year ago when they earned half of this effortlessly. FGO is making big bucks. This is bigger than Nasu ever dreamed of and admits it. It's no longer a niche that he could expect at most 100k players as he originally pictured.
>>155911379
So in other words Nasu is ashamed of his green extremism influences?

I don't think you understand how much gachas make daily for a week when they are launched now. They do 100-200k dollars when they are regular characters rate up.
This is why Takeuchi has a Ferrari collection now. Or did you think it was because of Mahoyo pisspoor sales?
>>155911469
That could have been a setting but the world of Fate is supposed to be optimistic for humans or at least about their survival. They DO fuck up the world in Extra so there's that, but they make it fine.
FGO in general, and this is my personal impression, seems like they have matured and the Spirits also protect the planet. The Magi are working with the UN too. Chaldea is a project with the UN approval with the cooperation of Atlas and some progressive families of the Clock Tower (the stuffy lords are still bad guys). Roman, who is obviously Nasu's mouthpiece, speaks of a great love for human history but also for the planet's blue skies.
>>155911203
Source?
>>155911524
No my mind can't comprehend mobile games and I have never played one. So FGO has been launched officially outside of Japan in Asia and is stealing/corrupting moneys/souls from weak minded people.
Nasu should write a funny story about that.
>>155911609
Nasu's blog and trivia that appeared in a mat book about a year and half ago. Pic related.
You can consider FGO as Nasu's core of his own universe because is the one that will reunite all his characters.
>>155911688
Can you post the whole thing, translated?
>>155911616
It's potentially getting an English localization announced tomorrow in Sakura Con. All Aniplex booth is about FGO. This is how fucking big it is. You just can't imagine how big it got.
https://twitter.com/tononet/status/853092767580397568
Korea and China have their own localizations.
You shouldn't shit on its story. Because it's the best Nasu's written in fucking ages. He just adapt it to the latest pandering format as he did with Tsukihime and FSN to sell it back in the day. As usual, it was Takeuchi's idea.
>>155911774
Okay but I doubt that many people are p(l)aying it for the story.
>>155911379
>>155911469
>>155911580
The one interesting thing about the Tsukhime and the Notes scenario over the one presented in Fate is the the very believable factor that humans don't matter for shit in the grand scheme of things. The idea that humans rule the cosmos and aren't just trying to survive despite of it takes almost all the appeal out of the setting. Why should I care about people in a setting where they're the ruling class? There's no real obstacle or adversity other than what they make for themselves, it's extremely dull. Adding in a benevolent omnipotent Abrahamic God who favours humans over everything else just makes it even worse.
>>155911760
>Dead Apostle
>Those who have become vampires by having their blood sucked by True Ancestors or other Dead Apostles. Dead Apostles encompass most of the beings referred to as vampires. They possess bodies that are nearly immortal, but cannot withstand the light of the sun. ...The people living in those worlds would have no way of knowing this, but the Twenty-Seven Dead Apostle Ancestors, said to be the apex of the Dead Apostles, do not exist in worlds where Heroic Spirit summoning is possible.
If you're up to Nasuverse canon, you'll see Melty Blood manga and Fate/Labyrinth for the new application. This anon brought up the quote of Nasu's blog too >>155911267
Missing is later that speaks of Nasu that DAA also exist in Fake world and FGO (which is about human history acknowledgement as the thematic setting). Obviously not the same shit of Tsukihime when pic related is Primate Murder in FGO.
>>155911774
>It's potentially getting an English localization announced tomorrow in Sakura Con
Oh god, please let it bomb. Please let it cost more money than it makes. For god's sake.
>>155911854
I think I'll just wait for Nasu's actual works to be translated and judge by that.
I know it's an everdistant utopia, but it beats searching for vague japanese scraps.
>>155911818
You would be wrong. The game had a crisis shortly after the launch because the fanbase hated the "typical mobage writing" style (read: garbage as in granblue) when they expected it to be full Nasubabble. So they had to revamp how they were doing it after the Septem fiasco. When Nasu took over, the scripts got monumental, as of longer than Tsukihime VN.
Nasu had set up the story, and wrote some scenes (specifically all Roman's lines and scenes, and other ones like Marie's in Orleans) because he was entrusting this project Higashide and Sakurai, but seeing they weren't meeting expectations he started to write entire orders himself.
The script and plot are what is being highly praised among the Veteran Nip Nasufans (who were critical over other entries, including most of Extra).

>Arc doesn't exist in Fate either
She does but she's all alone.
>Q: Is there any relationship between the Moon Cell and the Crimson Moon? Does the Moon Cell exist in universes outside of EXTRA?
>A: Moon cell is something that is only in EXTRA, and it does not have anything to do with the Crimson Moon. However, in the world of EXTRA, the "Brain of the Planet" (Archetype Earth's title) who is equivalent to the Crimson Moon should still be living somewhere.
Note that the Fate/Extra Sound Drama confirms that Arc in EXTRA is not Arc from Tsukihime, she's a natural feature of EXTRA's world. (though her appearance is just fanservice anyway)
The Melty Blood reboot manga also takes place in a Fate-leaning world (Wallachia is pleasantly surprised to find that the Sixth no longer seems to apply) and it has Arc.
>>155911818
That two million daily dollars gacha was this old man who is even a new character (it's Professor Moriarty). Takeuchi and Nasu seemed scared the guys weren't going to make any money and were btfo (in a good way).

to you, I thought that was an edgy ecoterrorist bullcrap. Nasu probably became ashamed of it as he grew up.
But this setting existed too when he was a teen. He couldn't write it until later.
>>155912027
That was in 2012.
Koha Ace reveals she doesn't. Melty Blood Manga (which was pushed by Nasu as to rework the canon) retconned Arc in Extra as a world hopper, by the way. She's not from that worldline.
>>155912052
That guy raked in two million yen, not dollars right?
>>155912073
>I thought that was an edgy ecoterrorist bullcrap
Yep, actually providing a setting with adversity and therefore a sound foundation for narrative sure is bullcrap. As opposed to a setting where fantasy concepts just exist for humans to prance around without need or justifcation for it. Yep.
>Nasu probably became ashamed of it as he grew up.
It's a well known fact that authors and pretty much everyone in any creative medium regrets their past works in some way or another. So yeah, no shit, but that doesn't mean it was bad.
>But this setting existed too when he was a teen. He couldn't write it until later.
And likewise that doesn't mean it was good either.

Arc is there for the same reason Ryougi is in Melty Blood. It's fanservice and she got there by mysterious means Nasu doesn't explain deeply, even in the manga.
Doesn't really fucking matter because she'll be in FGO, which is all what Nasu gives a damn about.
>>155912197
>Arc is not Arc from Tsukihime!
>the source doesn't say she's not Arc from Tsukihime
So basically the same shit that caused most of the Western TM fanbase to believe that MEoDP can't kill Servants for over 10 years (i.e. misunderstanding what was said in other materials)?
>>155912297
The majority has always said that MEoDP can kill servants, just that the Shikis were too weak to actually manage it (to kill something with MEoDP you still have to hit it and servants are just faster). It wasn't until Ryougi got a high-functioning servant body that it became feasible.
>>155912278
We know why Arcueid is in Extra. She just barged in that world because she was bored and trying to have fun. And the MB manga just confirms that she can rip apart wormholes and go to other dimensions. Nothing complex about that at all.
>>155912256
We don't know. Because it's an ongoing plot for a yet released chapter of Epic of Remnants. Arthur also has a connection to the planet in Fragments. He gets his mana straight out the planet. Lucius Tiberius claimed he could "control the planet" too, but was shut up by Arthur before he could elaborate (furthermore Ayaka made 'all nature around her bloom' by some inner power related to a relic Arthur put on her as a child to save her life). Keep in mind that Excalibur is the mightiest creation of Gaia in Fate. Not Arc. Excalibur. And it serves as an anti anti-planetary/star threats.
There's no explanation for Arc. She just appeared and then disappeared. It was a confirmation she wasn't from there. It might be related to Atlas (they did summon Sion in the same manga).
>>155912334
People made fun of Shiki being able to kill Berserker from the CCC doujin, saying he shouldn't even be able to cut him apart. Close to five years after that doujin got published, Nasu said MEoDP can cut Servants apart.
But before that clarification, people just said that entire scene was bullshit, even going so far as to photoshop Berserker not getting cut apart.
Revisionist history exists even in fandoms nowaday.
>>155912256
Arthur/Artoria is Merlin's experiment.
Merlin is connected with Fou, the Primate Murder (he claims he has the same origin, by the fucking way) who he picked and threw as a pet.
Arthur seems more powerful than Arturia, though. But he's still no match for Goetia. But Goetia was Nasu "going wild with the last boss."
>>155912433
>Nasu said MEoDP can cut Servants apart.
He spoke of Ryougi in that answer.
Arcueid was created by True Ancestors close to 1000AD. Even Shiki's Nanaya bloodline is 300+ years older than she is. It is quite acceptable to believe she doesn't exist in other timelines.
The only reason she becomes Gaia's most powerful archetype and creation is due to chance.
>>155912433
The thing is that he wouldn't be able to cut Berserker apart because Berserker's body is a noble phantasm, and seeing the death of a divine mystery would make Shiki's brain explode.
>>155912480
No, he spoke of MEoDP. Ryougi was merely an example, not the only one that can do it. The answer also include "Shiki" in katakana, which includes ALL Shikis. Ryougi's Shiki has a kanji of its own.
>>155912485
>Shiki saw the lines of a continent-class Reality Marble, wyverns, unicorns, and other mystic beasts

>a divine mystery would make Shiki's brain explode

>Kills Arc anyway
Sure.
>>155912483
Arc's from 1000 AD?
>>155912534
Huh? The answer Nasu gave had kanji of Ryougi's name. And the MEoDP work differently depending of the user.
>>155912586
She was supposed to be ~800 years old originally. Dunno if that's been changed, but who fucking cares about the shitty modernised lore anyway.
>>155912594
Oops, my mistake.
The answer had Ryougi, but the question Nasu answered had Shiki in katakana, not just Ryougi's Shiki. Had Nasu considered it a "Ryougi only" question, then the Shiki he would have used would be Ryougi's Shiki, not a katakana Shiki.
>>155912594
>And the MEoDP work differently depending of the user.
Nasu's answer simply said that MEoDP affects Servants. While some differences exist, they would still kill Servants.

>>155912691
IF he only considered Ryougi, then シキ would not have been used but 式 in the question as well.
>>155912704
Shiki is Ryougi Shiki. The other fag is called "Tohno-kun" by Nasu.
>>155912731
Then why would he use the katakana instead of the kanji. He clearly uses the kanji in the answer. And there lies the answer. Because it applies to all Shikis.
>>155912611
So 1200 AD?
>>155912721
シキ was used because they copy/pasted the twitter question which employed it. That idiot who was fishing up for Tsukihime shitposting didn't realize Nasu wouldn't answer about his chuuni edgy mc. Because Shiki to Nasu is always the KNK heroine. He always speaks of the lesser popular guy as Tohno as do everyone in Japan. He didn't know we gaijins do the opposite.
I was there to laugh at him in BL when he realized that he fucked up and didn't get his question answered in 2012.
>>155912826
I was there and they simply asked the question. That katakana was Nasu's choice, not the person who didn't ask it more specifically. A lot of people asked questions in plain English at that point.
>>155912741
Nasu didn't write that, that was the question a fan made (a western fan from Beast's Lair, to be exact) during the Anniversary.
There was no 'intention' to be about the two of them, Nasu simply understood they were talking about KnK Shiki when the fan in question was asking about Tsukihime Shiki (yes, not even the 'two of them', he really fucked up in specifying which one).
>>155912812
Or thereabouts, yeah.
>>155912880
It wasn't a live question, you fucking idiot. It was written down with katakana by the retard who sent it. Nasu read it beforehand (they handpick them) and simply interpreted it as Ryougi.
In his mind, Tohno is even considered worthy to fight defensively against a Servant.
>>155912901
>>155912880
You're not fooling anyone. We had threads on /a/ about that too. The reason Nasu went katakana was because when the question was asked, Shiki has many different kanji in TM.
>>155912534
Reality is just a systems of rules as mortal and finite as anything else (obviously since Gilgamesh can slaughter it indiscriminately), and the "mystic beasts" you're thinking about are just Nrvnqsr Chaos in different shapes and sizes.

It was sent in English, you dumbfuck.
>>155912943

It's a nice VN but why the blank picture?
>>155912994
>poor wording
>you go to any wiki and Shiki's kanji is literally there for you to copypaste
Everyone sent English questions to TM, not just Japanese. That was why a lot of retards a lot of English questions.
So Arcueid is a world hopping True Ancestor, what's stopping her from bringing the entire Tsuki crew to a Fate story?
>>155912953
>Without the simultaneous support of the planet and moon, Arcueid is just a large fairy.
In the previously established Tsukihime lore, TAs were of a higher rank mystery than gods even before factoring Arc into the equation. I'm sure Nasu decided to nerf that shit at some point or another, but fucking whatever.
>Arcueid is so sexy and pure sex
>there are almost no Arcueid doujins
Sucks major penis.
>>155913057
Why would she care?
>>155905912
Cute boy.
>>155912953
>>155913093
Actually that's not the case. Arcueid did not have support in Fate/Extra because of reasons, and she was still a monster to deal with.
>>155911156
>I really want FGO to crash and burn
Too bad.
>>155913057
>what's stopping her from bringing the entire Tsuki crew to a Fate story?
Having good sense when to know when a world is too shit to bother with. Hopefully she decides to visit the DDD world instead or something.
>>155913093
>TAs were of a higher rank mystery than
>gods
Divine Spirits. Which are shells of gods as the new lore dictates. Gods were conceptual beings which were far stronger. But the Sefar BTFO most of them and then Yahweh's fuccbois fucked up with the leftovers.
>>155913122
She was fanservice, like Ryougi. Ryougi in no way is that strong.
She got retconned from Extella Zero anyway.
>>155913124
Eh, the mobage bubble will probably burst sooner or later. Just not soon enough for it to do any meaningful damage, unfortunately.
>>155913136
>Which are shells of gods as the new lore dictates.
New Fate lore anyway. In Tsukihime the planets were above everything else to begin with.
>>155913093
Divine spirits are also just large fairies.
Fairies, elementals, divine spirits, and true ancestors are all the same type of being. They are the planet's sense of touch, created so the world (who's body is the earth and limbs are the sky) can physically interact with things.
(Note: divine spirits are not gods, gods are more like living concepts and divine spirits are advanced elementals in the shape of gods)
>>155913122
You underestimate how "large" she is in this context. She's huge, but she's not a more complex existence.
Only when the earth and moon are both linked to her is she an Archetype, perfect and without death.
>>155913166
>the mobage bubble will probably burst sooner or later
I don't really see that happening since almost everyone in nipland has smartphones. Also, even if it did happen, this isn't some literal who mobage. It's Fate.
>>155913191
The divine spirits use the same kanji as god (kami) when relating to Arcueid. It's just that there are some that are super-high tier creator level. If I remember, they use the kanji for creator to describe those, not kami.
>>155913166
>Eh, the mobage bubble will probably burst sooner or later
Unlikely and F/GO is sitting very close to the top of the heap, and therefore would be least affected by such a crash.
>>155913166
>In Tsukihime
Something that isn't written yet? Nasu hasn't revealed what the foundation of Tsukihime actual lore is in the reboot.
My point is that gods were elementals FAR stronger than anything those shitty vampires seem to be: they were concepts of war, death, love, of the planet (except those who surpassed the planet as the sun gods which depend on the universe rather than the planet). But half got driven into extinction by star/planet destroying aliens.
Divine Spirits are just shells of what was left of the original gods. And no, True Ancestors weren't more powerful than gods, but Divine Spirits which got mistranslated as synonymous by the english fanbase because we didn't know Nasu was going to difference them eventually.
>>155913228
No, they don't, and in any case, Nasu immediately clarified now that gods are meant beyond any shitty fairy. Gaia lost it all when the Sefar wrecked the fuck of her.
>>155913214
Fate is literal who in the grand scheme of things. Perspective counts for a lot, if you ask the average joe on the street anywhere in Japan they'll probably know about Mario and Zelda. Asking a random joe on the street about Fate and you'll probably only get results in Akiba or Nakano or someplace.
>>155913237
>More retcon shit
Like I said, I know everything got nerfed and retoconned. At this point I basically don't give a fuck anymore.
>>155913228
To ARC, not to the True Ancestor, because she's Gaia's Archetype. Either way, there are gods that surpass the planet because they belong to the realm of the 'universe' (like sun gods).
>>155913286
>Fate is literal who in the grand scheme of things
Not since 2011 faggot. Fate/Zero hit the mainstream like a comet.
Look at this japanese mall.
>>155913286
>nerfed
Everything got more powerful now. Nasu is fully aware of the powercreep, he says he couldn't touch it in small town stories.
>>155913328
This, real state agencies offered Zero goodies as bonus for renting/buying their houses when it aired. Zero put Fate in the view of the public (as KnK had put Type Moon years ago) and FGO expanded this to levels never reached.
>>155913286
>Fate is literal who in the grand scheme of things
You're really underestimating Fate's popularity.
>>155913328
>>155913380
Mainstream is relative. Spend a few years in Japan and you'll see what I mean. Fate is no Nintendo property, it's no Gundam or anything else that's stood the test of time. I've seen similar malls with fotm shit plastered everywhere, I remember when you couldn't get anywhere without Bake or Madoka shit being in your face, but you won't that stuff these days outside of the likes of Akiba.
>>155913342
>he says he couldn't touch it in small town stories.
You mean the good stories? Should've kept it that way. The thing about the background lore was that it was just in the background. Putting it further into focus just kind of demonstrates how inane it really is.
>>155913286
That "retcon" (not really) was delivered by Extella, so don't blame FGO. But the Sefar shit also happened in FGO, so it applies to a version of True Ancestors and Arc which haven't been introduced yet. Excalibur still blow the fuck out the Sefar. So Gaia trusting humans with her best weapon avoided her destruction.
I'm not sure how 'nerfed' when Goetia can remake the planet and bend the laws of the universe to his will and Velder randomly destroy worlds and civilizations across the universe. Nasu introduced new stakes.
The OP was good.
>>155913443
>Should've kept it that way.
Mahoyo was that and tanked.
>>155913512
Mahoyo didn't tank.
>>155913458
>That "retcon" (not really) was delivered by Extella, so don't blame FGO
I didn't say it was FGO, but whatever.
>I'm not sure how 'nerfed' when Goetia can remake the planet and bend the laws of the universe to his will and Velder randomly destroy worlds and civilizations across the universe. Nasu introduced new stakes.
Same difference at the end of the day, the balance of powers shifted and made everything slightly more retarded. Going beyond planet tier was a mistake, Nasu handling macrocosmic shit in the forefront won't end well. It only worked in Notes because it was just a glimpse of that concept, bringing it to the forefront just makes it as inane as ToAru and similar trash.
>>155913524
it sold poorly for all the production values Nasu invested.
>>155913512
>>155913524
Being fair to the name, Mahoyo didn't tank so much as it reached a market average and didn't go beyond that.
It's like comparing the sales of a Tales game to Final Fantasy. On its own it's not even bad, but, the league is completely different.. For a creator who knows they can perform so much better, you can consider it a failed venture even if it's not a market failure.
>>155913512
>>155913541
Well quality doesn't always yield profit, and shit that's profitable isn't always good. That's a sad fact of life. I can't hold it against TM for going for the lowest common denominator to rake in the cash, but it's still disappointing.
>>155913277
Where was this clarified?
>>155913539
It works in Grand Order and don't say it doesn't until you actually read it, EOP.
Grand Order is a fucking riot that gets out of control and the fanbase who actually experienced it loves it.
You might prefer street-level urban fantasy, but this does not actually make high-flying epic fantasy a bad scale of perspective.
>>155913539
>Nasu handling macrocosmic shit in the forefront won't end well.
It's making millions.
Jokes aside, it's hit or miss. Extella last battle was absolutely retarded with power ups and random asspulls with scantily clad Nero. However, in FGO, the last battle was handled tastefully because it was not about style over substance or flashy stripper outfits. It wasn't about punching something hard, but the complete opposite: a character giving up their "omnipotence" for humans shouldn't have that, and sacrifice based on love and hope, despite the destruction, death and pain of an ephemeral existence. All characters seem to be acting this way.
Primate Murder appears but was his action and show of power about fighting? No, it was also sacrifice out of love. Because all he saw and experienced, made him change. His only show of power was based on his love and his farewell too.
Nasu can handle a deeply personal emotional core in macro stories. But it doesn't always works. To me it worked perfectly in FGO but not in Extella which we and Nero's tits and barely covered vagina cluttering the screen, yelling SLASH EMPEROR (yes, really).
>>155913684
Babylon covers some of it. Extella does too. Also the difference between Lion King and Regular Lancer Arturia (Lion King is a goddess, Lancer Arturia a divine spirit).
>>155913691
The appeal of FGO last fight was to me that the resolution was a very private moment (you) shared with your three allies, instead of throwing fireballs or having ebin power ups. It was really fucking hurtful too.
>>155913863
There was still the "ebin powerup" withRoman becoming Solomon once more and deploying Ars Novathough.
It was very tasteful and dramatic, but it was still extremely high power-level.
>>155913822
This is why I take what you people say with a grain of salt. I know for a fact that Goddess Rhongomyniad is said to be a Divine Spirit and that regular Lancer Artoria is said to be something slightly more than a Heroic Spirit but not a Divine Spirit. If you can't even get this simple stuff correctly then I'm not trusting you to have understood much of anything else.
So do we have any info of the tsukihime remake ?
I don't give a fuck about FGO
So no one dies in F/SF vol 4 again?
>>155913953
so do we have any info of the tsukihime remake?
Yes, but what the point? You don't know japanese. No one will translate remake for you.
>>155913905
That wasn't exactly a power up whenhis key to defeat Goetia was giving up his power and his life. It was the opposite of a power up. It was Roman saying "I don't need this power, the limitations of a human being are enough for me" which in turn fucked over Goetia. Same with Mashu, she knew her sacrifice to saving you was pointless because it would just buy you a few moments, but she still did it. Basically, you were forced to watch your two most important people die hopelessly and then your pet not knowing did the same behind your back. It was fairly emotional.
>>155913953
It's still not canceled, but it may be released to less fanfare than you hope. Grand Order is beloved by the japanese fanbase and much of them will look forward to Tsukihime's release simply as it will mean a Tsukihime event in Grand Order.
>>155913998
It's definitely still a "power up" when it wasn't something Roman could do before. It was a solution to the problem that was acquired suddenly, even if it had great cost.
>>155913947
>Goddess Rhongomyniad is said to be a Divine Spirit
Where? Her Saint Graph is called a goddess, not a divine Spirit.
>Lancer Artoria is said to be something slightly more than a Heroic Spirit but not a Divine Spirit
Nothing like that. She says she's not a full goddess, but she's described as a divine spirit in her interlude and profile.
>>155913984
>So no one dies in F/SF vol 4 again?
Flat and Jack almost died but nobody died this time. Next volume for sure.
>>155914023
We knew Roman had the solution. Da Vinci said so in Camelot, but it would make him disappear.
>>155913999
Nasu can still make the DAA appealing again to the big fanbase. He started with Roa by making him a villain in Dantes' side revenge quest. That was a good decision because now the new fans are interested in the character.
>>155913984
As someone who began learning Japanese 10 years ago because of reading Tsukihime, I really, truly hate what the Nasuverse and Type-Moon has become. I feel betrayed, frankly.
The most recent major works just feel... wrong. From Mahoyo to CCC to Apocrypha to Grand Order, they get exponentially worse each time. The former two had their flaws but were okay when I first read them, but the latter two really put into perspective the steep decline. Especially the latter three, they're all just so frivolous and the power creep is absurd. I know these are mostly Fate works, but since it's all a connected setting more or less, it feels like the whole thing has become tainted. There's no other way for me to describe it. The stigma of the later works, the scale of which has gone out of control feels impossible to escape now.
There's not a single hint of the mystique that once characterized the Nasuverse in its currently published works. The Root and a Magi's quest for it used to be so full of subtlety and enigma, despite obviously being an enlightenment pastiche. Now it's just powerlevels and anime comedy gag scenes.
Even when the Tsukihime Remake comes out, it probably won't be instilled with the modest, somber atmosphere and utsuge sincerity of the original. We can already see that happening in Arcueid's seibaface or the Tohno Mansion's absolutely ridiculous new design.
I have no hope for the future. I just want my basement doll back. But Magical Amber, that insipid, characterizing-killing whore, will probably show up a whole bunch instead.
>>155914023
No, Roman was able to use Ars Nova all the time. He didn't suddenly get it.
>>155913947
The difference between Alter Lancer and vanilla Lancer is that Alter remained a Heroic Spirit.
>>155914089
This, but he needed to employ it ensuring Goetia would be fucked and cornered, besides the date.
>>155914069
Yeah, nice pasta. Maybe someday in 2020 someone will finally translate shortest TM VN without any routes.
>>155913691
>It works in Grand Order and don't say it doesn't until you actually read it.
I don't have time for gatcha shit and I'd rather not waste money on it. I've seen as much as I can be bothered with his macro material in Sora no Soto.
>EOP
その程度ならお前の意見なんて糞くらいだな。
>You might prefer street-level urban fantasy, but this does not actually make high-flying epic fantasy a bad scale of perspective.
I don't prefer it, Nasu just does it better by and large. If I wanted space epics I'd reread Dune or something, if I want low-scale urban fantasy with intrigue I'd read Nasu.
>>155913746
>It's making millions.

I suppose I shouldn't judge it without reading it first, but I'm really not interested in Fate as a concept anymore. The other thing Nasu did well was knowing when to reference existing works without needing to expand them beyond the original stories. Being self-contained, having a solid beginning and end made them great. Drawing out Fate with its now innumerable roster of servants and settings kills that more or less completely and I can't find any interest in it. I tried to give Extra, CCC and Exella a go, but it didn't have anywhere near the same impact as the story of some ginger berk who wanted to be a hero.
Maybe I'll try it some day, but I can't be bothered right now.
>>155914065
>getting killed by Dantes is the best thing that could happen to Roa
Sad but true. He also could display his MB powers at full glory.
>>155914107
Which is what I said. He's saying that Lancer Artoria is a Divine Spirit and that Goddess Rhongo is a god. First gods the way he thinks of them don't exist after the Sefar and second the whole point of Lancer Artoria's interlude was that she isn't a Divine Spirit.
A lot of people going around talking about "new lore" don't even understand that it's only new information about stuff that we already didn't know anything about(The state of the planet before 14000 years ago).
>>155914158
>Being self-contained, having a solid beginning and end made them great
F/GO is self-contained (beyond the constant nods to the setting at large which has been part of Nasu's style since Angel Notes and Kara no Kyoukai and through every other piece he has ever made [the man has an addiction]) has a solid beginning and end told in 9 chapters.
It's still continuing but this is after a period of downtime, like a second book. The main arc of F/GO ends with the Salomon chapter.
>>155914158
I think FGO is better than any of his Extra stuff. It's major flaw is that it has a weak start with badly written prologue and orders before it gets good.
I think it feels self-contained, despite the "big setting" because at least part 1 all is built for a single moment and is the story of one character. Because it's a larger than life character, then the setting is bigger than a town.
>>155914269
I thought it was clear in Camelot that Rhon transformed into a goddess eventually.
>>155914270
>>155914285
By self-contained, I mean something that sets itself apart from existing series. KnK and Tsukihime both incorporated mystic eyes and magecraft but did enough differently to have their own identities. FSN in turn set itself apart from them, as did DDD and in some ways Mahoyo. Maybe FGO does somewhat distinguish itself in some respect, but with so many different Fate-based series flying around that all ultimately involve heroic spirits and masters fighting each other for some reason, none of it feels very distinct.
I know I'm probably not giving it enough credit, but I really don't find even the base concept appealing. At this point Nasu would have to put out something completely unrelated to Fate for me to be interested, it's just that much of a turn-off at this point.
>>155914320
The words used for the Goddess Rhongo is Divine Spirit, in says she turned into a complete Divine Spirit. I don't to be mean but I wish people stopped trying to interpret every little new bit of lore as some kind of retcon. I swear if this was the fanbase of TM when MB was released people would have called Archetype Earth a retcon instead of new complementary and expansive info.
>>155914380
While GO has loads of returning servants and respects the previous stories, pretty much none but F/SN are particularly important (and F/SN only to set up the context of a Holy Grail War and the battle in Fuyuki 2004). You'll just have characters occasionally making references like "Hey! We didn't settle things last time" or "You remind me a lot of a certain someone" without further clarification. The events of the story are not directly based upon any other story.
>>155914380
>but with so many different Fate-based series flying around that all ultimately involve heroic spirits and masters fighting each other for some reason, none of it feels very distinct.
FGO is about an organization that watches over time and ensures humanity progress and safety. Chaldea. It's fairly unique because magi and nonmagi established this together. They summon Servants (willingly) to fight not for the Grail and a wish, but to protect the human order and history which has been erased along with humanity. In other words, it's filling the places the Counter Force cannot act. Those are Singularities. Chaldeas is even a replica of Alaya's soul.
It's about defeating the enemies of humans who, because they love humans, want to erase their foundations (history) which make them human. Those are the Beasts each representing a sin. It tells the story of how the Age of Men began, at least the first part.
>Nasu:I just wanted the youth to learn more about the past, that we’re only here because these things happened in our history. Once you know how we got here, you can go on looking forward to the future.
>4Gamer: So it’s about the foundations upon where we stand. We in the modern age sometimes forget about that.
>Nasu: In order to show that in the form of the game, what we prepared was this journey where the player traces the records of mankind’s history – the Grand Order. Change comes to all – though some may become forgotten, an eternal brilliance shall remain. Thus, there is meaning to be found in the present, here in the modern age. That’s what I wanted to express.
>>155914549
Fair enough, but at the end of the day, it's still heroes from history and mythology fighting each other. I'll be honest and say I was already kind of tired of that by the time F/Z came out.
>>155914611
>Nasu:I just wanted the youth to learn more about the past, that we’re only here because these things happened in our history. Once you know how we got here, you can go on looking forward to the future.
History was my best subject when I was young, Nasu's sentiment just feels kind of patronising at this point and it probably would've felt patronising then too. Maybe he's concerned for Japanese kids, but learning from the past has already been done to death in Fate as is, really.
>>155914807
Where in Fate we 'learned from the past? At this point, you look like nitpicking for nitpicking sake.
>>155914807
And tsukihime will be about someone fighting vampires. Aren't you tired of it?
>>155914854
Archer learnt from Shirou, he remembered what he forgot about so long ago.
Saber learnt that just because she regretted her actions in life doesn't mean she should undo them, thereby preserving the past.
There's probably some other cases, but the subject is so basic that it doesn't really bear repeating that much.
>At this point, you look like nitpicking for nitpicking sake.
Alternatively we're all overlooking the fact that Fate makes Nasu tons of money, so he has no reason to not keep making more material for it.
I'm just bored of Fate, that's all. I don't know why I need to qualify that sentiment to you, but whatever.
>>155914886
>And tsukihime will be about someone fighting vampires. Aren't you tired of it?
Yes? Well less so because it hasn't been done to death quite as much yet. Why?
>>155914983
That's not learning from the past as history of humanity: that was just reflecting upon your own fuck ups to stop bitching about how tragic your life was.
>>155915072
Similar principle, different scale.
I suppose there's no reason Nasu shouldn't push the concept further, but I don't read his stuff for history lessons.

It is still better at killing off humanity than the Beasts though.
>>155914069
I feel you.
Why couldn't Nasu have made Fate and Tsukihime just one universe, and have had it filled with tales and mystery?
I miss a time before Extra, when Fate wankery was a 1/1000th of what it is today, when you could read and reread Angel Notes and always have some wonder instilled into you, when you could post "Shiki can kill servants. Discuss." and people would go absolutely batshit crazy with feats and TMwiki fanon citing, when the Material books were a valuable resource and everyone looked them up.
I miss old /a/.
How strong is void shiki, exactly? Based on how she described herself she was borderline omnipotent, but apparently according to nasu she loses to average level servants? How could someone who could rewrite the rules of the universe lose to fucking lancer or something?
>>155916458
Why do you care about powerlevels so much?
>>155916483
Because when a character describes herself as multiversal omnipotent and nasu says she's a chump I feel like I'm fundamentally misunderstanding something?
>>155916458
As of Grand Order: she still can't "fight" servants without a servant body, but she sits on a level so high that she doesn't need to fight anybody to begin with. Parameters have become meaningless for her, she is able to do anything she likes.
>How could someone who could rewrite the rules of the universe lose to fucking lancer or something?
'cause they cut your knife hand off before you move it.
>>155916538
She simply doesn't use her Root powers when fighting then. I feel like this is kind of like asking why can someone with a nuke get killed by a guy with a gun.
>>155916413
Nope. I prefer Fate being far from Tsukihime, no need to get ruined along with Fate fuckups.
To be honest I feel bad for Stay Night fans because their story got and still gets raped every single day.
>>155916547
I guess that makes sense, although I find it hard to believe a character that strong would need to physically move their body
>>155916720
It's just a property of how MEoDP works.
"Shiki" can do anything with a swing of her knife to cut time and space, past and future, etc. but a servant will have destroyed her hand before the cutting actually occurs.
In Grand Order she has received a servant body and is considered totally invincible (an "all powerful wish machine", comparing her to others is meaningless), and just spends her time drinking tea and touching herself as she watches you sleep.
>>155916827
You're confusing things here. Her being a wishing machine has nothing to do with having a Servant body. When people talk about Void's powers it also has nothing to do with MEoDP. Maybe don't talk about this if you haven't even watched the KnK movies.
Manga Arcueid is her best version!
>>155916980
The manga is good, pity it all but completely skimps on the Far Side routes though. Seeing Hisui's route in the manga would've been fantastic.
>>155916912
You're the one misunderstanding, it's the reason she can "fight servants" now from the Garden of Order event. She couldn't do it when not a servant, still.
Not that fighting matters to her before or after.
>>155917036
You still don't know what you're talking about, don't try to backpedal. She was a wish machine before FGO and her powers isn't MEoDP. The guy's question was about why Nasu established pic related but then said she'd only be able to fight defensively.

For example, someone like Haruhi Suzumiya has the ability to break the world, however, she still has human limitations. Someone who can pull out a gun and shoot it before she can think will beat her.
>>155917157
You continue to misinterpret. She's a "wish machine" sure, but that doesn't mean she's actually capable of doing anything INSTANTLY. Doing anything isn't useful in combat if you have cast-times, so to speak, because anything faster than your cast-time will neutralize you first.
Having a servant body rectifies that weakness (which she would have no reason to mention to Kokutou so it was unclear at the time but it is covered in Garden of Order) and now she's do-anything anytime.
>>155917157
>>155917246
To expand a bit more on this guy's point, she's only able to fight "defensively" since the moment she tries to pull an attack she is open to being instantly killed/defeated.
For an example, there's Shirou who can just barely survive a servant fight, and the servants he does are usually either weakened or going easy on him. Then there's Archer, who is still him but can now fight toe to toe with a lot of other servants.
>>155917022
Far Side routes are less suited to manga format due to you having to self insert more.
The game relies on you getting to know the characters and the world already and self inserting as Shiki, when it begins with the mind-rape and all those things that made that route what it was.

This makes me wonder, shouldn't Void be the ultimate support character in something like FGO? If she has cast times but her abilities can solve almost every problem, you'd think the best thing for her would be to have someone tank for her while she preps her abilities. Does FGO have some kind of row or covering system?
>>155917716
I suppose, but it would've been doable if they'd tacked it on to the Near Side route scenario.
Really I'd say the best way to adapt something like Tsukihime to manga or anime would be the omnibus approach, and just skim over repeated bits briefly. It's good that's how Ufotable is adapting F/SN now anyway, so maybe they'll do the same for Tsukihime eventually.
Is any of the Fate stuff outside of F/SN and F/Z good, and if so, what order should I read/watch it in?
>>155917878
>This makes me wonder, shouldn't Void be the ultimate support character in something like FGO? As a game, F/GO has effectively no equivalence to its lore. Some of the strongest people are impractically weak and some of the bizarrely weak people are top tier simply because the RPG and its mechanics has pretty much nothing to do with the flavor.
To wit, last I played, Jack the Ripper (the Apocrypha loli) was and had remained one of the strongest, most desirable, and most versatile servants.
>>155911054
Except there is an event with Arturia from F/SN asking to visit the finished Fuyuki Singularity in F/GO.
>>155917878
It's easier to adapt F/SN as individual routes because the routes are more different and different longer. For example if you wanted to adapt Tsukihime(let's say Near-Side) now you'd probably have to either pick between Arc or Cirl(probably Arc) or make a combined route of the two, nobody would sit through the first half or even the first two third of Ciels's route after having already watched Arc's.

Well that fucking sucks. Oh well.
>To wit, last I played, Jack the Ripper (the Apocrypha loli) was and had remained one of the strongest, most desirable, and most versatile servants.
Doesn't she have some stupidly broken ability against female opponents or something? Even so, that's still kind of dumb.
>>155918082
Well you wouldn't make each route stretch into a TV anime season, that's for sure. It'd be best to make them individual OVAs or movies like with KnK. Ciel's route could follow on from Arc's and basically skim over the first half to get to the main point. It's not perfect, but it'd work.

>>155917157
Yeah this was exactly what I meant and I still don't really believe that a character could simultaneously be equivalent to an omnipotent multiversal (omniversal?) and yet still be low enough in speed and durability to get her hand cut off by F/SN lancer, who I assume is an average level servant
I mean at a certain point the concept of speed stops applying when your will is the will of the universe and all creation
>>155911852
I agree, and it's only gotten worse with Extella's revelation that humans are literally the center of the entire universe. Nasu's works need some cosmicism to have impact. The idea that "lol humans are always gonna win lol" makesF/GOso disappointing in retrospect.

Not when you're stuck in a cage of meat and have to physically move a sharp instrument across a line to alter the world. Making a new world requires killing the old world and killing the old world requires physical application of force with a knife.

>>155916547
>>155916538
Without a Servant body? Just defensive battle against "average" np wielding Servants.
As Servant? She can't really deal with Pillar demons or Fou (primate murder).
>>155918721
>Sefar was beaten by Excalibur which cannot beat Goetia.
Excalibur only has its ultra boost when facing an extraterrestrial threat to the world, we have never seen that used against Goetia. Goetia is not extraterrestrial nor does he threaten the world directly, just humans.
>>155905912
It was ok.
Great soundtrack.
>>155918888
Talking about the root discorporated has no identity, it doesn't have a sense of self or the ability to take action. The root incarnated as a person such as Ryougi Shiki and Sajyou Manaka has limitations while being unlimited.
>>155916458
Because she's bullshitting. Nasu just realistically place her fairly high even before she became a Servant. The only one who had "omnipotence" written in his profile is Solomon.
>>155916827
>"all powerful wish machine",
Angra Mainyu also calls himself that. Don't pay much attention when she confirmed she can't do shit against "The Beast of Gaia" or actually was able to cut down pillars even if she tried.
>>155919001
I think the right term was that she was "omniscient" as in she had knowledge of everything from the past to maybe even the future.
What a nice Tsukihime thread.
>>155919001
>The only one who had "omnipotence" written in his profile is Solomon.
Well that's fucking dumb. If you're going to have a biblical character channel the infinite power of Abrahamic God, at least give it to someone who wasn't called out for straying from the path of God.
>>155918921
>Excalibur only has its ultra boost when facing an extraterrestrial threat to the world,
Who told you this shit? Excalibur was a weapon made to protect the planet from threats, not necessarily aliens, all threats at large scale that affected the planet are counted. Goetia was going back in time and become the new planet, Gaia would be defacto killed and replaced by him as he warps the universe with a new set of laws which includes removing the concept of death.
Roman told Arthur whose Excalibur is far stronger than Arturia's that even with the unleashed power of his holy sword, he cannot face that threat.
Because, in case you were too oblivious to notice, each beam of his NP was equivalent to Excalibur. And it was millions of those beams. 1 Excalibur loses vs millions of them.
>>155918817
Some Beasts are gods (Tiamat). Beasts are simply the strongest obstacles created for men to overcome one day. They could be anything. They have to be the strongest and representing a sin.
>>155919211
Well, there may be a chance to save it yet.
>>155919239
Solomon in Fate didn't even have a free will to disobey God until after he died, anon. His description made it sound like he was his Archetype.
>>155918921
That's not Excalibur function. It's description is: "a weapon to protect the planet against the ones that endanger the planet." That's it. Goetia was certainly a danger. Gaia relies on her protection on the human order (as we found out in 1.5) and he fucked up with this, leaving her completely vulnerable. Then he was planning to travel back in time and replace her.
He was simply too powerful for anyone to deal with.
>>155919246
>Goetia was going back in time and become the new planet, Gaia would be defacto killed and replaced by him as he warps the universe with a new set of laws which includes removing the concept of death.
[shit you just made up]
He'd remake the universe but that's not actually threatening the world, "de facto" or otherwise.
It'd make the world's wants and current status irrelevant, but it's still not actually hurting the world in any way.
>>155919282
I'd like to get a second opinion but do you agree with me that Arc's good end is much worse than the true end? I wish the good end had been something different instead of being the true end without the bittersweet aspect.
>>155919441
How is becoming the planet not threatening the current planet? Are you stupid?
Gaia has a will. In any case, each of his beams is an equivalent to Excalibur, so you're just moving goalposts now.
>>155919300
That's also dumb. Why rewrite a biblical character when you could just choose someone more appropriate? I hate to say it, but Jesus would make a lot more sense for that kind of purpose.
>>155919454
You know, it has been absolutely so long that I cannot remember Arc's good end, it's been literally over ten years since I read it. I'm pretty sure it's just Arc showing up like everything's fine, so yeah, it's definitely the weaker ending.
>>155918976
That's literally not how she describes herself though, she says she herself is the spiral, which means she herself is multiversal omnipotent. Basically just the root with a will. Total world of difference between just being an avatar of the root, which could be any level of power up to an including being the root
>>155919001
I mean I guess that's what happened but that kind of defeats the themes of that whole epilogue chapter and a part of KnK as a whole
>Nasu is hyped he went wild with FGO last boss as he had no limits
>B-B-B-But this one is strongest!!
Please kill yourself and your shitty Sefar.
>>155919553
>How is becoming the planet not threatening the current planet?
Becoming the UNIVERSE is not becoming the planet, Goetia was replacing God not Earth.
>Gaia has a will
Gaia has no will and is a mindless counter force, don't use its name equivalent to Earth, Gaia is merely a fragment of Earth.
>In any case, each of his beams is an equivalent to Excalibur, so you're just moving goalposts now
That'd depend entirely if Goetia could survive his own attack. You're thinking that just because it's his attack, that he can survive it too? Saber can't survive Excalibur either. It's irrelevant to bring up Ars Almadel Salomonis in regards to what Goetia can survive.

Because he was the appropriate one in the lore. The age of men began with Solomon, not with Jesus, because he created magecraft among of other things. He is also the ancestor of the magi families and, despite the Jesus Cup meme, the Grail Wars are just a ritual between mages which is founded in what Solomon established.
I doubt that Nasu's touching Jesus after China threw a shitfit over some liberties taken to their first Emperor.
>>155919647
>she says she herself is the spiral
She literally says "maybe I'm the spiral" as in she's not absolutely certain.
>Basically just the root with a will
Which is still different than the root since the root is a zero existence like Angra Mainyu.
>>155919696
Anon, Roman (aka Solomon) already confirmed Excalibur couldn't do shit. He would know better than no one because Goetia was using his power. There's a reason why he even had a "take away my powers and suicide" np because he was unstoppable otherwise.
>>155919763
I mean the context certainly implied that she really was that strong but I guess she's just full of shit.
And that wouldn't mean she would have less power than the root, having free will can only make you more powerful
>>155919621
>Why rewrite a biblical character when you could just choose someone more appropriate?
One of Jesus' nicknames is "Second Solomon", by the way, and God calling Solomon his "begotten son" (this is kept quiet among Christfags, but a lot of Jesus' words were just continuing Solomon's ideas). And Kabballah (which is more relevant to Nasuverse than the Bible) has Jesus as Solomon's reincarnation. Namely, same soul as Archetypical Perfect Man (Adam Kadmon) born into different cycles. Nasu didn't do this, but Solomon as God's vessel isn't strange at all. It's in Kaballah already.
>>155919917
>And that wouldn't mean she would have less power than the root, having free will can only make you more powerful
Nasu likes to limit people with powers. Solomon was "omnipotent" and "omniscient" since birth but had no freedom of thought. Like an empty puppet. When he gained a will and desires, he lost his powers. Void speaks as if she was empty so probably she's not even moved to do much.
at least it had some good tracks
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GxnRhRLIudk
So apparently F/GO English may be getting anounced today.
>>155919758
Jesus is still implied to be important as the turning of the AD calendar meant something huge for mystery in the world (mystery went through 4 periods of decline, following Solomon's death, the AD calendar beginning, Camelot finally sealing the age of gods away for good, and finally Edison eroding mystery from general mankind by proliferating recording devices), exactly what is unclear but it's definitely related to Jesus.
>>155920336
The Age of Men began with Solomon. It's even referred as "Solomon's beloved legacy." FGO spelled out he created it. If you played the game, you would understand why.
In some places it reached later because they were separated from the continent, but it had already started. They could delay the process, but nothing else. What Arturia did was simply stopping Vortigern from beating a dead corpse by trying to restore the age of mystery in the island. It was a pointless thing because it wouldn't last anyway.
In my opinion, Nasu didn't want to touch Jesus because it would probably be too controversial, besides Fate is about magus so the King of Magic is more appropriate as this universe's Messianic figure. There are obvious parallels to Jesus. Magi are basically stray lambs who are misguided by the devil's temptations (a lot of the magi's idiotic habits can be explained with Goetia's grand order to magi) except for the chosen ones (Chaldea). Became a mortal man following God's plan and chose to die (on Christmas day...) on his own will out of love, to return back to God.
>>155919971
>this is kept quiet among Christfags, but a lot of Jesus' words were just continuing Solomon's ideas
I'm going to go out on a limb and assume that's a massive oversimplification.
>Namely, same soul as Archetypical Perfect Man (Adam Kadmon) born into different cycles. Nasu didn't do this, but Solomon as God's vessel isn't strange at all. It's in Kaballah already.
Except that his straying from the path of God is one of the things he is most famous for.
>>155919758
That makes more sense, but trying to merge magecraft with Abrahamic God as a starting point seems horrifically misguided. It almost makes the point about magi and the Church being institutions that are for all intents and purposes at odds with each other nonsensicle.
Regardless, I hope Solomon wank gets eased off in favour of something else soon. And this is coming from someone who wanted Caster Solomon in Fate years ago. It's just too much at this point.
>>155920336
The British isles incident is linked more to the ether situation. Age of Men came with Solomon because from him on people started to use their own means to understand the world and nature instead of relying on the spirits and gods.
That's why Goetia chose the fuel of the humans of the 3000 years since Solomon's death because humanity started to be dominant and the strongest.
>>155920515
I wouldn't mind being her slave.
>>155920972
>I'm going to go out on a limb and assume that's a massive oversimplification.
Most of Jesus' ideas about peace were already preached by Solomon. Solomon's name is called "peaceful" for a reason, yo.
>Except that his straying from the path of God is one of the things he is most famous for.
Don't kid yourself. He's more famous because of the Lesser Key of Solomon and Ars Goetia to most people. Which is exactly his more important aspect here. Himself as King of Magic.
So FGO is the new Dragonball with servants and timetravel instead of aliens and levelups.
Japan is finished. And wtf learning from the past? Through made up fantasy tropes x lost-interpretation mythology?
Why not just read a book faggot.
>>155921142
>read a book
Does all criticism of anything boil down to this?
>>155920972
Magecraft seemed to have a role similar to science and art originally: a way for men to conquer nature and place rules of the world in their POV. Instead of relying on spirits and other gods, they relied on themselves. This is why magecraft and science have the same purpose but go in reverse. This is how men became separated from gods because instead of relying on their magic with rules set up by them (thus having no individuality from them, as Romani said, in the past they were hardly individuals), they relied on their own schooled magecraft, that could be performed because they are Solomon's children and thus inherited the circuits.
To the risk of turning the old fuckers of the Clock Tower into dindus, it appears to be that a lot of modern magi obsessive behavior and their recluse nature is a side effect of Goetia's grand order (curse) to ensure magi would survive and they'll be a heir for his pillars to possess them to carry out his plans. Magi strayed from their original purpose, except for a few who seem to have partly overcome the curse. Marisbilly, referred as heretic by the pillars, set up Chaldea to watch over humanity and mixed magecraft and science, also got the UN in his project. Shirou would be, unironically, a nonheretic to Solomon's eyes. It's just a shame that Nasu never made them meet.
>Regardless, I hope Solomon wank gets eased off in favour of something else soon
Why? The guy is dead and is a symbolic messianic figure right now.

How did you guys react to Nasu retconning FSN and Tsukihime taking place in the same world in his latest blog post?
>>155943243
It was pretty clear that he's diverged his metaverse in two a little ways back.
Now, we have "universe with DAA" and "universe with Heroic Spirit Summoning Ritual" (Grand Servant system & Holy Grail War copy of system) existing incompatibly.
DAAs devour humanity and humanity is too weak to make servants in those timelines. The moon is too strong, the darkness too great. Humanity is doomed to die in such worlds.
>>155943243
We've known they don't take place in the same world for something like a year and a half. It doesn't really change much since it's still the same multiverse.
>>155943243
It was already really hard and stretching to make a connection to them. It was only really KnK that had an actual connection and relevance to F/S night due to HF ending, which Nasu at least still confirmed.

>>155943347

>>155943510
>Now with all the spin-off and shit it's like the most common shit
Only in Apocrypha is it common at all.
F/Z, F/SN, F/HA: bastardized ritual from the Einzberns jump-started with their greatest homunculus and Zelretch Schweinorg
F/Extra, CCC, Extella: advanced subroutine of the Moon Cell Automaton, a billions-old hyper-advanced artificial reality observation program
F/SF: a hack-job bastardized ritual slapped together in the shape of the Einzbern's ritual that is glitchy as fuck and probably going to kill everyone
F/GO: the ultimate creation of Chaldeas, a system that can continuously manufacture servants so long as they accept the call to save humanity
Only Fate/Apocrypha, where the blueprints for the Einzbern Great Grail are made public knowledge by Darnic, do they become a commonplace event.
>>155943510
In the blog post he says that the basis of Fate worlds(ones where you can summon Heroic Spirits) is the "Human principle" or Humanity as the localization team has decided to translate it. He then says that Tsukihime worlds have "■■"(probably some plot point in Tsukihime Remake) as a basis.
In the same blog post he says that the Fake world(FSF) is neither and has both like FGO.

How the fuck can someone be this new?
>>155946084
>>155944370
FGO foundation is still human history. It's pretty much the theme of FGO game and announced in its trailer. But for some reason (read: collabs), it can have DAA too.
Fake world is unknown. It's up to Narita.
>>155948176
As long as Narita never explicitly says that Zelretch and whoever are part of the actual DAA organization, he's still perfectly good-to-go.
>>155948423
Nasu explicitly said that it doesn't work the same way for Fake and FGO. The executor in it has already mentioned the DAAs.
>>155948537
The foundation of the world is still the same in FGO. It's even in the FGO website.
We need to wait for Tsukihime collab to know why there are DAAs there at all. It feels stupid for fanservice's sake to me because it was even the Fate work which went balls deep with history is super important.
>>155948684
Why are you arguing with Nasu's own words?
>>155948772
I'm not arguing with his words. He's the one who confirmed what I'm stating, both in interviews and game.
I'm wondering how are DAA in the very Fate story whose theme is "acknowledging human history is important and the foundation of the world" over the ones that actually mentioned them or didn't focus on this. It's pretty fucking stupid of him.
>>155948772
?
What are you talking about? He never said the foundation of the worlds were different. He simply said DAA could appear in FGO. Because of the upcoming collabs, for sure.
Is the updated OST that different from vanilla?
>>155949042
What he says precisely is that you can't really call Fake either of the two kinds of worlds and then seemingly for no reason he adds that you could says it resembles FGO's world.
「そう。故にどっちとも言えない「FGOみたいな世界」と言えなくもないのじゃよ、
>>155950036
Stop taking his words out of context: He's just saying Fake has both, DAA and Servants. Like FGO world, but he isn't speaking of the world foundations. We know FGO foundation is the affirmation of human history. It's the theme of the fucking game, on the main website and trailer: humans are the strongest creatures and they defined the world rules by their accumulation of history. They are called the strongest by Goetia.
You shouldn't compare Fake or FGO as the same thing either. DAA actually showed up in Strange Fake, while they didn't in FGO. Hell, Primate Murder isn't a DAA in FGO, but a cute fluffy humanfag mascot. They will just appear there because of the inevitable Tsukihime R collab because FGO is a grand crossover setting. It's still a Fate game which centers in the affirmation of human history.
>>155950625
I never actually said otherwise. My point was about Zelretch. You or some guy said that as long as he doesn't mention the DAA it won't matter but Nasu has already said that Fake's world is not comparable.
>>155950819
That wasn't me. I'm just stating to not compare Fake setting with FGO one. Their only point in common is that they can have both Servants and DAAs. Somehow.
However, FGO setting focus is on human history and order. It's extremely centered on the Heroic Spirits and even Primate Murder isn't a DAA, but humanfag helper magical mascot who loves big tits, and we have a Gaia who relies on human order for protection. We haven't seen any DAA yet, unless Roa in Dantes' CD drama counts.
Strange Fake has dead apostles and DAA playing a role since the beginning. Not only Zelretch, but ORT got mentioned, as Nrvnqsr was namedropped, and also Van Fem. We don't know what is Narita's focus or world foundation yet either.
>>155951100
Maybe it'll be like this:
Fate. Heroic Spirits only. DA never become DAA.
Tsukihime. DAA only. Servants can't manifest.
FGO. Both, but Heroic Spirits have the leading role (they are definitely the big guns here). Harmonious relationship with Gaia.
Fake. Both, but DAA have the leading role.
>>155951261
It could keep people from bitching, yes. But it's sad how even in a crossover world that they could have the upper hand, the story is still about a Grail War.
>>155951100
>We haven't seen any DAA yet, unless Roa in Dantes' CD drama counts.
Nasu clarifies that the Roa in the Dantes CD drama never had the "encounter" that made him be recognized as a DAA and so he's also weaker because of it.
>>155951508
He didn't say it was the Roa of the CD drama, though. He gave an example of how it works. The CD drama takes place in FGO where DAA exist. There's no reason to believe Roa wasn't an Ancestor when he had better showing here than he did in Tsukihime. He was basically doing his Melty Blood attacks.

Is there a pic of that Roa floating around? I could swear they had given him one in the Chaldea Ace magazine.
>>155955911

Gotta say I like his looks better in that pic. He always seemed too ordinary for a vampire that lived hundreds of years and went out of his way to make sure he was born in influential and wealthy families.
Or perhaps that was just SHIKI. He did look striking when possessing Ciel.

The Manga is great, the Visual Novel a bit less(info dumping there is too much) and the anime exists but is fucking trash.A 2/10 it's sad that nasu is doing Fate/extra and Fate/Apo what ever trash but not a Tsukihime remake.
Ciel > Akiha > Shiki > Arcueid > Hisui > Kohaku imo
Nasu you fucking cunt go make a tsukhime anime
Is KNK the only big Nasu's work where the protagonist doesn't get absolutely fucked?

How feasible is it to learn enough Japanese to read Tsukihime remake by the time it comes out?
>>155970988
Thanks, have a sleeping Sacchin and her pet succubus.
>>155973177
It's better to learn it now, even if by some miracle it came out next week I'm pretty sure you'd have to wait another 2 years for a full fan translation and that's assuming the enthusiasm for it would be greater than with Mahoyo.

Is this supposed to be a good thing or a bad thing?
>>155975013
Not for Berserk fans, for sure.
I unironically enjoyed the show, but that was before the translation of the VN was released.
Let's hope for a re-adaptation that does it justice.
By the way, what happened with the English release of the manga?
I had to switch over to the Japanese release for the last few volumes.
>>155975320
There was an English release? I must have flopped.
>>155975430
Of the manga? Yeah. Volumes 1 to 6. The publisher was "Dr.Master" or something like that.
Their website had stopped working last time I checked, so I guess they have gone bankrupt.

VN, then Kagetsu Tooya.

Nearly been a decade since they announced they were going to remake it. No chance it's still alive.
>>155978500
Nasu talked about like a month ago.
>>155978825
So? The PV itself is 4 years old. Meanwhile, Fate churns out multiple projects a year.
>>155979013
If it weren't ever coming out why would he keep bringing it up? Had you been talking about Mahoyo 2 I'd agree but I have no reason to think the Remake isn't on the way.
>>155979118
Not releasing anything 9 years after you announce it's coming soon is a good indication you don't plan on releasing it.
>>155979612
Ok then, keep thinking that.
>>155978825
what did he say ?
>>155981452
Nothing much, "sorry I can't say much at this time but Tsukihime R is progressing little by little.". This was for an interview about FGO and they were just done talking about VR and the interviewer asked about "so is there anything else?" and Nasu brought it up himself, he also added that he intends to eventually have a Tsukihime R collab in FGO(so I don't think it'll take more than 3 years maximum). Given all of that I don't see TM announcing that Tsukihime R has been cancelled anytime soon, he literally had no reason to bring it up if he didn't have the intention of ever releasing it(which is why I suspect they never talk about Mahoyo anymore).
>>155981904
Thanks anon !
>>155981904
>which is why I suspect they never talk about Mahoyo anymore
To be fair, Mahoyo is Mahoyo. It was never some definite "there's going to be 3 of these". Nasu said he might like to make a trilogy out of it, but it was never a fully formed plan. There was never a certain Mahoyo 2 in the works.
Are they making a tsukihime adaptation ? When? Im surprised no one has released one yet
>>155986247
The sexiest Tsukihime art of Arcueid or any of the heroines ever made. Nothing has surpassed this picture for close to a decade.
>>155908399
I think it's ok to watch if you have absolutely zero intention of exploring more into VN.
I thought the anime was fine until I read the VN.
Then I got mad.
>>155992674
With the manga fully translated, there's literally no point to watching the anime. Its a good adaptation of Tsukihime's Near side, which is the only route(s) that can be realistically adapted to non VN mediium. A hypothetical far side manga/anime would work about as well as the Muv Luv Unlimited/Alternative manga, it gets the plot across but not the experience

>>155959708
Kokutou lost an eye and some mobility in his knee. He's the viewpoint character for a good part of the KNK novel, so he qualifies I guess.
kohaku route > hisui route > arc route > akiha route >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> curry route
>>155992601
This picture really reminds me of the Dumpire manga. Except I'm also pretty sure it predates that series.
>>155905912
The anime adaption? 12 episodes wasn't enough to tell the story of Arc's route
The manga adaption? Perfect adaption of Arc's route with elements of Ciel's route and Akiha's route added. Desperately needs a rescanlation because it is the best Type-Moon manga adaption.
>>155916661
Because it's honestly blocking progress. FSN was a story well told. FHA and FZ were decent extensions of that story. Everything beyond that has deviated from the original point and it's just self-perpetuating for it's own sake (and money's sake too, I guess).
All the while things like DDD, Mahoyo and indeed anything new Nasu could've brought to the table have fallen by the wayside. If Nasu and co had actually worked on those things while the Fate milking work got delegated entirely elsewhere it'd be fine, but he clearly hasn't. Fate is tired and it's long past time to stop.
>>155917022
It was an adaption of the Near Side (Arc&Ciel) from the beginning. Do you want them to mix Near Side and Far Side together?

It's all an excuse so he could go "Power of Humanity LMAO" in GO, while technically explaining why they were shit-tier in most other works.
Because you can't have super-powerful beings like DAAs shitting on humans, that'd just mean our "history has stopped" and we're not developing enough... neo-Type-Moon fucking sucks, man.

The translation is probably wrong.
>月姫における人類史とは血続きではないということです。
says nothing about human history stopping, but I have no idea what she is trying to say.
>>156020621
My Japanese isn't perfect but I don't think "人類史とは血続きではない" means that history has stopped. The fact that it can't be the same world is pretty evident since you can't have the Moon Cell and Crimson Moon at the same time.
