It's obvious people want more K-On, they want to know what happened with the Budokan plot point, and the manga version of K-On didn't keep up to scruff with its post-highschool stuff.

I propose a second movie, a true finale to the series, where Ritsu somehow stumbles into a chance to get them all into Budokan during college and the college keions all want to go with her but struggle to make the time between their coursework, and getting ahold of Azusa is difficult due to her having a new light music club to lead and worry over abandoning them and blowing off some performance they have together for her older friends. these all get resolved, Ritsu finally managing to rope them in one by one as they make the time work and Azusa's new club supports her. [The movie also starts with a more SoL attitude, catching up with both the college keions and Azusa with her new club, and another section of it as they make it to where Budokan is held, as well as some practicing together.] When they finally get to the event, they perform on stage with a new song for the movie.The audience loves them and there is a shot of a music producer in the crowd or something like that who seems stricken by their performance. they finish, loving uproar from the crowd, and they feel triumphant. We get to the announcement of who wins, and Either we never see who wins and the movie ends on the cliffhanger, or they don't win and we see some of the team downtrodden only to have Ritsu still ecstatic that they even got to perform in the show and how loved they were, and then being approached by the aforementioned producer. The credits roll and, alongside the names and roles to the side of the screen, the other side is filled with behind-the-scenes style compilation of the old EDs being filmed in order with shots like the makeup and costumes being designed and put on, filming on the sets/greenscreen and the team laughing and hugging together while it's going on.

Why did you have to mention that?

I don't remember them even mentioning Budokan in their entire senior year. I thought that was one of the points of the show, was that they became more humble and enjoyed simpler things in life, like drinking tea and spending the afternoon with friends. Not everyone can be a rockstar and if they go to budokan that just gets thrown out the window
