Adamantite can't defeat DK with common class comboes without preparation, simply because their difficulty ranking is based on relation to how hard the task is to deal for your average party.

Any specialist capable of attacking the weaknesses of a Death Knight could take it out even if they were a lower level, but such specialists are rather rare.

If you don't attack the weaknesses of creatures such as the undead, then they are inherently superior compared to an equal levelled human.

This is why your common class dudes in their 30's, which is around where Adamantite class starts usually, tend to have pretty problems beating Death Knights.

Going through that defence against an opponent with no fatigue while having no fire specialist, holy specialist, the ability to fly or having access to special equipment really hinders your ability to dispatch them effectively if you do not know what you are doing, which with death knights being so rare is almost no one.
