The remaining chapters have been finished. The chapters keep disappearing and re-appearing from Batoto, so I'm not going to mess with that unless it's still acting up tomorrow. Here's the DDL.

Are you the person who translated it? Thank you kindly if so, and if not thank you for mentioning this series. It sounds interesting so I'll give it a read later.
keep doing god's work anon. I've been a fan of Yoshiharu Tsuge ever since I read Neji Shiki when it was published in The Comics Journal (still have that volume). More anons need to expand their tastes, so keep up the good work.
You've reminded me to search for any new translation which may have come out in the past few years. I have a bunch of short stories which were only available in French a while back. Someone surely released those in English by now.
If I remember correctly, Tsuge was deeply against ever allowing his work to be translated into English, and he didn't like being contacted by English journalists or publishers. And he is reclusive to almost JD Salinger levels.

I don't think you'll find too much, but I believe Nejishiki is being worked on.
>>155869297
It's available already. That was floating around online in English a decade ago. I've got it if you want it. Just tell me where to upload.
Just finished reading this, dang. Thanks for posting this. Its hard to find stuff like this on a whim other than going full autism on mangahelpers on the tags or random post here.
>>155869423
I meant the rest of the collection, not the title story.
>>155869251
I think that's just Tsuge in general when it comes to his manga after he retired. He hated it when people called him up and kept asking him about manga. He only comes out to do interviews sometimes and approve reprints.
>>155869464
Ahh, in that case I'm very excited. Is there a blog covering the progress?
>>155869582
I'm not privy to the details. Just saw this post last month:

Oh shit, finally.
>>155869251
I'm pretty sure he was just a massive recluse that didn't really like people much at all. Who knows how he even got into making comics.

>Who knows how he even got into making comics.
For some one so reclusive, his life and career are well documented in English. Before he went all avant-garde he was doing pretty mainstream children's adventure stories in the time of Tezuka. Later, he did quite a few travel diary stories, during which he would travel around Japan and write about his experiences (this was quite a popular genre which has never really been paid attention to in the west). He's probably more famous for those in Japan than his surreal, dream-like short stories.
>>155869941
I've always wondered how he took to his sometimes cult-like popularity. I remember he was pictured in a comic by one of his peers as retiring and shy. People from the west took a remarkably interest to his work, I've seen animators do tributes to him. From Trash Market, it didn't seem he was very close to his brother either which his brother appears to have at times capitalized on.
New chapters start here.
What font is used in this? I like it and want to steal it for a few of my projects.

Live in Japan here. Neji-Shiki is huge here (as far as those who even know what Garo are are concerned). You can find copies of the Neji-Shiki bunko in most used book stores - the rest, not so much.
Though he was foolish, Seigetsu's words live again when the flowers bloom.
Thanks for reading.

Try asking Laika. He would know.
Let's keep this alive for now.
