I always hear plenty of horror stories about older figures but there is a dearth of actual photo evidence. The worst that actually seems to happen is poorly balanced figures leaning (which can happen with new ones as well) and plasticizers making it a little sticky.

I didn't really have a problem with the Demi-chan preorders opening so early.
It's money-grubbing, sure, but that exact figure had a 100% chance of being made at some point in the future anyway. It's the only really marketable girl from the show in the signature pose (almost) that she's doing on the cover of the show and the manga in the only outfit she ever wears other than a t-shirt or a bathing suit.
Yes it's fairly generic and they could have added some more accessory details to it but I don't think it's reasonable to expect anything but regular old uniform figures and maybe a BQ out of shows like that.
