This chapter actually introduced a few flaws: he doesn't know how to handle wind, he doesn't know how to handle hitting out of the rough, and he doesn't know how to putt, all of which makes sense as he has literally 0 practice dealing with any of that stuff. It's something for him to overcome, at the very least.
