I'd reluctantly accept that Pudding was bullied in a place where at least 2 members of every species lives since she'd be the only three eyed kid. But randomly throwing in Big Mom saying "that's creepy" is just perplexing given what we were shown before. Big Mom was overjoyed at the thought of Pudding's power and Pudding was annoyed by her asking if it awakened yet because Big Mom "asks that all the time." Yet now the tragic backstory is telling us that Big Mom thinks the eye is gross and that she told Pudding to grow bangs. Even though in Pudding's very first appearance she's sitting in a room with Big Mom with her hair firmly pulled back, third eye showing, in contrast to where she just pushed the bangs to the side momentarily during her meeting with Reiju.

The most annoying thing about this development is that it's unnecessary. Just having her mercilessly picked on by her siblings would have sufficed as an excuse for her redemption.
