I did not say anything about realism, I just say it would be bad writing. The character dynamics would be terrible, which is why most harem is terrible already.
Good harem is one in which there are multiple routes, which is why VN is the superior format for harems.
Animated harems are pretty terrible, but they can be fun at times.
