It is a VERY simple process. First, you need to get a pair of bright red shoes. Pay for them with money, steal them, or paint your non-red shoes with some kind of red substance. Then, get a cardboard box, big enough to fit in. Take a pair of scissors and cut a hole through the bottom and stick your legs in there. Then, remove the rest of your clothing. Go to the nearest most heavily populated city you can find, then locate the tallest building there. Make your way to the top (via the stairs, not the elevator - this is important!!!!) and once you get up there, throw yourself off the roof. Make sure your shoe laces are tied.

Boy, if you think nendos are a pain in the ass to set up... You don't know shit about suffering. Imagine this. You buy a set (which costs about as much as an 1/8 scale) that has 10-20 miniatures inside and you buy glue, paints and tools. First of all, they come in tiny little pieces in fucking frames. Each tiny miniature is 6-7 pieces that you cut from the frame then glue together. Then you have to undercoat them with spray paint. Then you have to fucking paint them. By hand. Then you apply a wash so they look good.

So next time you think it's a bit annoying to pose a nendo or figma or whatever, just think of this, just be grateful you don't have to assemble and paint the fucking thing...

Of course, it's done by an actual artist with a shitload of different paints you couldn't possibly afford. What bothered me the most was how beautiful the bases look on the box, with stone, sand, grass, all that shit. And then you get some plastic plain ones.

I'm pretty happy with how my set turned out to be honest, especially since I'm not an artist and it was my first time but of course it looks... hand-painted. I would never do it again though. It was plain suffering, literally every session gave me a headache because it's so fucking easy to fuck up,

There were no plans for a figure at all until late February, when the mania hit and people were throwing money at manufacturers.

When they saw the existing 2.5" tall mini prize figures from KF selling for 9000 yen instead of 500 yen they knew they needed some figures fast.

The fact that GSC got it rapid prototyped in a month is pretty impressive as is. I am sure scare figures are in the works now but they take much longer.
