Some of the characters are shared, like how Touko is in Tsukihime likely and in KnK but there's no Arc in KnK or Ryougi in Tsukihime (outside world hopping crossovers). Sion for example dies at birth, while her twin sister is the one who survives in Fate settings.

There are dead apostles but they are supposed to be weaker because of the strong human order/pro history. So they cannot reach the DAA level as we know it. Likewise in Tsukihime, you cannot summon Servants.

Other things that changed: Primate Murder in Fate isn't quite a "dog" (pic related) and he (at least in FGO worldline) is on humanity's side. It's one of the 7 Beasts, numbered IV (other ones known as Goetia, Beast I, and Tiamat, Beast II). Angra Mainyu is the opposite to the Beasts, who are the evils humanity must defeat/are fated to defeat. He's all evils of humanity (another word for humanity).

What Nasu basically did was to return to some of his earliest world setting of Fateverse, which he had to put aside for years.

The most recent major works just feel... wrong. From Mahoyo to CCC to Apocrypha to Grand Order, they get exponentially worse each time. The former two had their flaws but were okay when I first read them, but the latter two really put into perspective the steep decline. Especially the latter three, they're all just so frivolous and the power creep is absurd. I know these are mostly Fate works, but since it's all a connected setting more or less, it feels like the whole thing has become tainted. There's no other way for me to describe it. The stigma of the later works, the scale of which has gone out of control feels impossible to escape now.

There's not a single hint of the mystique that once characterized the Nasuverse in its currently published works. The Root and a Magi's quest for it used to be so full of subtlety and enigma, despite obviously being an enlightenment pastiche. Now it's just powerlevels and anime comedy gag scenes.

Even when the Tsukihime Remake comes out, it probably won't be instilled with the modest, somber atmosphere and utsuge sincerity of the original. We can already see that happening in Arcueid's seibaface or the Tohno Mansion's absolutely ridiculous new design.

My problem with them is that none of these characters had a storyline I could say "damn this is good." I felt exactly the same for Avenger in FHA, too. Roman feels the most old Fate character Nasu has done in ages (with the exploration of emptiness and heroism, he feels almost like a reverse Shirou in some aspects, which completes to me the narrative of FSN. He's like a character who makes a great completion to Kirei and Shirou). You can tell he loves writing him and he's careful about his lines and scenes. I wish we could have gotten his story as Shirou's or Angra's instead of being diluted through a blank self-insert's eyes.

In Hollow, you got a feeling of the characters progressing, something I don't really think you would get with Tsukihime. Sakura and Rin are working toward their future, and build upon their sibling relationship, yet I hardly saw the same with Kohaku and Hisui. Akiha did have some good stuff, thankfully, her and Ciel being my favorites.

Outside of a few good select scenes in KT it was like the typical fandisc, which let's be honest, had guest scenarios just like Hollow.

You could make more comedic things with the antagonists, but you have to wonder if you could have as many interesting talks without things falling apart. There was a reason they had Zouken defanged by Sakura, Gil being satisfied being a child, and Kirei staying dead. All the other antagonists were somewhat reasonable.

The jist of my argument is that Fate has more believable interactive potential. Nearly every character can interact with any other character and have a sensible conversation.

I believe that with KT wanted to be more about getting past their demons as opposed to the progression of relationships, you can see this with Shiki and Ciel, and somewhat Arc. It's a half assed attempt, since the far side heroines don't really get that kind of treatment

I personally think this is cool, but I agree that one of the worst things about GO is trying to be the be-all, end-all Type-Moon product. It's far too big in scale to drain money from as many people as possible, instead of trying to be its own memorable story and setting. FSN, Tsukihime, and other such stories are the stories of small towns. Power levels can't get too high in those stories, it is very toned down. Nothing can even be planet breaker tier, everything is subvert.

Extra and FGO introduced a setting where powers could get a bit more loose, or world class, maybe even universal class. If Nasu were to write another story like FSN, the story of a town, power levels would be down again. But FGO is the story of the entire world.

Also I'll tell you the interview you're quoting that says Void is the best, directly says Servants aren't counted in that question otherwise they would have knocked her off the board. Then in another interview that happened at the same time it was said that Void was as strong as an average servant, she was not omnipotent ever. Nasu even went out of his way in an interview question to say she was bullshitting in one of the final movies about being able to end everything or kill god.
