Alright, someone explain to me why the reaction to this was so bad? Is it just LN fags upset it isn't a perfect adaptation? It's one of the few series I'm actually interested in following this season along with Zero and Rokudenashi. People were complaining about character design but I think they're fine

I enjoyed the fist episode and I'll most likely enjoy the rest, but the art and the changes annoyed me.
What was even the point with that stupid fight scene at the start?
Why make him say he was bad at fixing clockwork when he wasn't?
Why remove the automata he tried to make himself?
Why simplify how he fixed RyuZu?
