Finished the episode. Translation and timing seemed fine the entire way through.

Very good start. Still not a fan of MC's design, but hardly a deal breaker. Though she had an ugly ribbon, instead it's just a part of her hair apparently.

>>
>>155765153
Dai Shogun needed more animation. The designs were too detailed for whatever budget they had.
>>
>>155765600
What makes me angrier about the whole deal is that apparently there's some non anime shows Netflix is willing to release weekly as an exception to their binge watching focus and even for anime, it seems they do release weekly episodes for Japan, so why can't they do it for the rest of the world if they have no problems making exceptions to their focus on binge watchers?
>>
>>155762716
I read this exact comment on 2chan a few hours ago.
>>
>>155766218
Conversely, I've seen people there and on twitter remark they didn't think the designs would work but like them all the same. It helps that they're simple enough (Murata's characters are mostly distinguished by their clothes rather than faces).

>>
>>155768713
Nah just combine to anon sub and RAW.
>>
>>155768686
Live-action series, at least werstern ones, always have stupid cliffhangers at the end of every episode and they're horribly slow-paced. I find them almost unwatchable unless I marathon. So I usually wait for a season to finish airing before watching a live-action show.
Anime doesn't have these 2 problems, and there's the fun of discussing on /a/ and waiting for the next episode.

>>
>>155768894
Is this in relation to the space clouds or her losing momentum?
Because I'd argue that she loses momentum as though she were letting go of the vehicle in a vat of jelly.
As for the clouds, this just looks like a picture of a night sky.
Not saying it makes the show shit, I was just pointing out small details that annoyed me, it's like the wind in CCA when one mobile suit passes someone and blows them away as though there was a substantial amount of matter that the suit was moving to blow away the person.

I also noted, and it may just be me, but the red pirate robot looked like a weird emaciated Turn-A.

>space clouds
IIRC, there clouds of dust and gas in space. They just don't look quite like clouds you'd see in Earth's atmosphere. Google "Large Magellanic Cloud" for an example.

tl;dr: it's not unreasonable to find clouds in space, they're just not likely to be made of water like Earth clouds
>>
>>155770342
I know about the large magellanic cloud, I don't, however, think they tend to look like a color shifted version of the night sky.
My understanding of entities like the large magellanic cloud is that they're similar to nebula.
In fact, after googling the large magellanic cloud to see how it's classified, it's a satellite galaxy, although the definition of galaxy is rather nebulous to say the least.
>>
>>155768735
These are basically my thoughts. I enjoy watching currently airing shows since it's just one episode a week no matter the quality. Plus for me it's fun seeing everyone's reactions on a per episode basis and if it's one of those shows, theory crafting.

I will watch this, because it's made by Bubuki Buranki studio, and I think they have a pretty good grasp of how CG should be utilized, compared to let's say, studio that made Knights of Sidonia. Plus, it's an original mecha show, which always pick my interest. Hopefully ID-0 too, will share some similarities with Eva. Someone compared it to Mouretsu Pirates and that's a great recommendation in my book.

Reporting in. I had tons of fun with both shows. And this is so far my favourite anime original premiere of the season

Is there a phone app that regularly checks an RSS feed and then messages your phone whenever there is an update?

I feel like there should be one. But I know of none.
I wonder if it's worth making one. But there should already be plenty out there.

Bubuki S2 was hot garbage

Active Raid was OK/a little above average, but had one of the best beach episodes ever.

I think some of the pirates are probably locked in their I-Machines

They just put out a new trailer with footage from upcoming episodes:

Well looks like one of them uses a human-sized machine.

Active Raid was my AotY, but I couldn't get into BBK at all.

Based on this, the ones without human bodies are Id, Rick and FA-Loser.
FA-Loser appears to be some sort of weird shiisa-like animal, going off one of the ED frames.

I assume ID's human body is the guy in the back here: >>155790395,

So what is the "ID-0" of ID-0?
>>
>>155792083
ID0 is straight up just Id's full name.
Check the website character page.

I see.

Nah, I'm watching it because it's about mecha.

I bet Rick's the ex-boyfriend of that Volchkova-chick.

Either that, or she totally killed his meatbag-body, and now he has to carousse in a giant red mecha riding on giant space mecha bikes mining space ores and fighting the law and going avast yarr matey.

Are we getting an ID-0 calendar too?

Fuck the professor.
But the way he was drawn in 2D leads me to believe we won't see much of him.

She knew too much. Possible that they wanted to get rid of her anyway.

1 episode down, 11 left to go.

So about the mystery loli.
Is it a proper character?
